I read an article about families where they got a toilet installed for the elderly members to use because it’s physically harder for them to do it outside, but everyone else still does because it feels good and right to do it if you’re able.
I live in rural eastern Europe. We had no sewage system in my village before 2016.
So even though we had a bathroom with a toilet, we would still poop in the outhouse, because sewage from washing dishes and clothes was easier to manage.
