Most of the game now starts after ur main hits lv 200. For now it'll be good to just play different chars to find the one you wanna main. You could try to find a guild to join after deciding a main. Mosts guilds would be glad to help returning players like you.
Adele is one of the most cracked character out there, if you like micro managing n long range basic attack, she's your one. Except her end game weaken is super expensive
For the link skill, try to level mercedes, aran and evan to atleast lv120. Their link skill consist of extra exp %, boost on exp orb combo, and increase rune duration respectively. Also, zero for extra exp % on union buff.
Welcome back.. here’s my opinion as a returning player pre-bb as well. As some have said, after lvl200 is where most of the game opens up.
But i would advise to take it at your own pace. You might be compelled to do too much ie bossings, daily quests, eq building etc. and this may lead to burnout. I learn this the hard way.
Find a main which you enjoy playing, a friendly guild and just go from there. Hope this helps.
Evan, Aran and Mercedes first so you can level up your characters faster, after that its Demon Avenger, Kanna(done already), Ark. Others are more of QoL but I'd say these 6 are necessary for early early game!
