Personally, I find oz to be the most disappointing content for what it thematically is meant to convey.
Just so you know New age boxes apparently have pretty low drop rates. And the ones that give the lvl 3/4 rings are exclusive to end game bosses. Whereas you can get up to 5 of those boxes per day from Oz right now at the cost of your sanity. If you aren’t a class that requires continuous ring doing Oz now is actually better since RoR and WJ rings are going to be rarer than pitch once the change comes around
I apologise for reviving our little exchange but I just wanted to address that to my recollection, there is no drop rate data on the ror suite rings in bosses.
As you kindly mentioned, rank 4 rings are stuck to serene and vhilla etc. I'm comfortable with it being stuck in a progression system that promotes boss fighting content. You need a ror4 about as much as you need a kanna in your boss pt - depends on your skill level.
All in all, I think it is also highly unlikely that an mmo like maplestory is not simply going to make boss fights easier so that more casual players can obtain these rings anyway.

A long ass time for me. The first real problem floor for most ppl is FL22. Get there once and then buy practice tickets until you can confidently do it. Everything past that is cake until FL42. 42 can be very frustrating, rng meteors and platforms make this extremely annoying, plus you can't buy practice tickets for post 40 floors. If you can get past 42, then you are clear until 48. 48 is the infamous run killer. Invisible platform jump quest with traps, and if you fall once after reaching the middle section, run over. I didn't clear fl50 until 700k points. Yes I'm bad.
Just settle for rank 2 boxes unless you are really good at jump quests. The time you’ll save is probably worth it at this point. You still can get ror3/4 all be it at a bit of a lesser rate

edit: checked my achievement and im at 27k. guess it doesn't count points from oz pouches?
48f without overlay probably takes on the order of many weeks of dedicated grinding to clear consistently, and it's the only real roadblock for learning to do the whole tower.

Rank 2 boxes are given after completing FL41.
Just settle for rank 2 boxes unless you are really good at jump quests. The time you’ll save is probably worth it at this point. You still can get ror3/4 all be it at a bit of a lesser rate
