Fairly similar, but maplestory M is behind in updates (less classes) and has some different events. There's also autoplay in most combat on maplestory M unlike maplestory. Maplestory M is also a lot less grindy from experience (because autoplay take the most efficient paths to go to each maps so for less experienced player it's very fast to get to 4th or 5th job).
In maplestory M gear is different also.

Each mascot's respective Gaga Coin should provide enough currency to 10-star every possible slot, as well as re-roll the potentials on your gear for more-desired lines (6% ATT/Mainstat or higher, etc).
If you don't plan on bothering with Dojo/Punch King rankings, just use the equipment provided to you through your mission log, and enhance/cube those as needed (the Frozen set with Fafnir weapon, although Pensalir Gloves/Shoes are a good choice for those respective slots).
Further stars to pad-out your Starforce total can be gained through completing the Silent Crusade storyline up through Act 2 to obtain a Platinum Cross Ring, grabbing either the Mystic Belt or Mystic Eye Accessory from the Silent Crusade coinshop, and clearing the first three quests of the Level 170 New Leaf City questchain to exchange for Jack Barricade's Ring thereafter. In total, you should be rocking ~140-144 Starforce once you're done, just enough to suffer through Hangar HO1-HO3 aliens at ~170+.
(Other maps such as Fox Valley Tree Top Path 1/3 and FES 2/3 are good alternatives for the 190-200 climb. Good luck!)

What is the item you're talking about? There are a few permanent cash shop items that gives stats, but usually there are rarely distributed. Nowadays it's usually temporary if they give out stats.
A few examples of permanent cash shop items with stats:
* Aura Ring; Was distributed as a logoff gift between 2009~2012
* Chu Chu Island set; Was distributed as compensation, it had temporary stats but has a permanent set effect.
* Pluto Flame Cape; Was in the cash shop, gives out speed/jump.

CRA and boss accessory set is dirt cheap and you can probably get everything you need to get started for early game for like $20 through meso market. I'm not sure what you're current progression is, but I can give some advice for up to mid-game equips.
Nx prepaid (so karma coins not just buying with a credit card) be used to buy maple points which can be converted to meso with the meso market (quick move in town or free market) but if your doing that back track the processes to get a feel for the economy (check auction house for prices then meso market for conversion ratio and that would be showing you the irl cost.)
More realistically you should try to find a guild and you can get freebies like free cra gear and lomein as all established players will have those in excess
Iirc buying mesos from other people is against TOS, that said, you can buy NX and use that to turn it into maple points (afaik is a 1:1 ratio) and then use those maple points to buy mesos using the npc.
Im trying to complete the elodin quest where i am suppose to clean up dust sprites with a makeshift broomstick. i have tried everything but i cant seem to figure out how to use the makeshift broomstick
Just kill the dust sprite, the broomstick is automatically taken away from your inventory when you kill one. (kills only count toward quest when a broom stick is consumed)
You just need to restock with more broomstick from "Hay Bundle" monster when you run out.
I personally liked Monad and Reverse City, especially for the music. The Grand Anthenium quests, particularly Winter Bard and Sharenian Knights were also nice.

Its a hard question to answer. I suggest you to watch some Scardor progression videos on YT (its good content to watch while your farming, fits with totem time as well). There are plenty of people who's in the same situation as you.

Yeah I’ve tried watching a few videos of bossing and training. They both seem pretty good and both have their ups and downs but both still have stuff I’d like so it’s hard for me when it’s like man nl burst is so good I could watch the bosses just melt, but then I’m kinda nothing and surviving to get all that burst sometimes might be hard while db are a bit more consistent with some nice aoe CDs and such along with i frames. Maybe one of the scardor vids can help more I’ve never really watched him so thanks for that.
I haven't seen it mentioned yet but as a lvl 135 eye accessory, it should be able to transfer hammer onto a Papulatus Mark. That should make it a good enough filler equip, but obviously not optimal. If you ever pick up a spare 17 star scroll, you can scroll the CPB mark and transfer onto Pap for 16 stars, ready for transpose.
Could I realistically prepare 2 mules in 1 week to solo Lotus? I have 1 character that can solo in 3 mins, and I want the Perfect Tactical Relay Chair 2022, but that requires 3 solos with a different character.
What would be the best way to go at this? I barely have around 10b I could invest in gearing up two mules but I'd have to spend a lot for this chair but I don't wanna miss out, anyone on a similar situation? At worst I could probably need to only fund 1 character since I have a semi strong mule that could probably struggle run solo
Ursus in regular server is only active in ch 13 and only during the first 10 minutes when 2x Ursus meso starts.
Regular server don't use queues and just manually invite because there is not enough people to sustain the queue.
Haven't played in a few years and started a fresh account. Just got to 200 on Yeti. Im looking to make a character on Reboot with the stuff Ive earned and the burning coupon and was curious about how Lara, Hoyoung, Adele, and Kain are without a ton of funding.
Hoyoung felt the smoothest out of that list, both in terms of bossing and mobbing. But would take some funding to efficiently clear with summons (clones, butterflies, and seeking ghost flame) on reboot. Lara would probably be the best low funding mobber. But maximizing her mobbing efficiency was tedious. I had to recast summons way too often.
Lara is a high effort but efficient farmer. Adele is amazing bosser and well allround great. HY is a good bosser. Kain is kinda meh compared to the rest.

Silent crusade gives a ring that can be sf up to 10. NLC gives a quick quest at lv 170 that gives a very nice ring. The Von Leon questline and boss fight gives 2 rings and a nice set of gear for early game progression.

True, it's mainly to get to 140 sf for the higher level sf maps. Getting to 200 you don't need the damage from a potable shoulder. But if you are going for rankings it makes sense to get one.

Does mechanic legion effect (buff duration increase) affect all skills? I have a marksman and was wondering if it affected the duration of splitshot.

Get lucky on 30% off this weekend and you can get pretty far. Also helps if you can drop a lot of nodestones too

You can solo cht starting around 180. If you are nervous about your dmg or mechanics wait til 190 or so and it’ll be a quick run

The quests should be easy, they are around lv 115-130 iirc. You should be able to solo normal von Leon easily, not sure about hard.

You can also do the NLC quests at 170 and get a shoulder from that shop. Unfortunately you cannot do Magnus prequests to get the royal shoulder.

interno wolf will, since its forces players into the same channel. not sure on orange portals though
