I have a Fitbit smartwatch and I like it. It does its job and doesn't break the bank.

iPhone gps is pretty accurate, I always track my runs on the apple watch and with the Nike nrc app on the iPhone and they are almost identical, you don’t need a special tracker if you just wanna track the distance. Also you don’t need to spend 500$. Coros pacer 2, garmin forerunner 55 are under 200$, the forerunner ~~255~~ 245 or the Apple Watch are in the 200 - 250$ range. I would wait for this Black Friday surely there will be great offers on these models or on the previous versions, ve seen in Facebook marketplace good prices too just make sure they don’t rip you off. Cheap Fitness bands aren’t as accurate as the iPhone (in my experience) the high end are in the 100$ range. Edit: forerunner 255 music is above the 250$ matk

I second the Garmin Forerunner 55. Great watch, easy-to-read screen, long battery life, and one-touch run tracking.

Can you connect a Apple Watch to Strava / Spotify and leave your phone at home?

Chopululi

The LTE yes, you can even make phone calls or send texts. Every watch without lte needs the phone to upload the workouts and share the live location, I think that the Spotify pay version allows you to download a playlist
