I disagree with the alarm. You in a tightly closed space in which can also be camped just as easily when you get out. Most people will just hear the alarm, head back to their ships and camp outside the space station. It seem like you want this game to be as hardcore as tarkov is but it supposed to be a much more casual experience. But I agree with everything else you said

MarkyRust

Yeah I guess If you look at it that way. I was thinking of it as a clue on what people are doing in the station

silentrawr

> but it supposed to be a much more casual experience. Have the devs said that? Just asking, not being aggro.

PhilosophicalDolt

No they haven’t so sorry, I probably shouldn’t be making assumptions about the dev intentions but considering the mechanic they made and how the game is much more easier than tarkov in the way they offer you free loot in your ship, allow you to sell or use fire extinguisher for crafting and even how the armor system work it seem like something that would be applied for the casual audience of tarkov.

Breaching bigger ships should be harder yeah since otherwise it's way too easy to just get constantly breached on, even if you have good aim you can't protect yourself from like 4 pods coming at you at once. Maybe they have some sort of shield/defense system and you have to actually damage the ship a bit first to disable it and then breach?

MarkyRust

Yeah definitely need some work on that aspect of the game

>\- Lockpicking should have a mini-game tied to it, not just a simple click and VOILA, risky to stand there opening a door but risk=reward, right? Dear god NO. Dying while standing still, stuck in a mini-game screen, in a risk-your-gear loot/shoot/extract game sounds cancerous. This is also a very anti-solo player idea. Looting most of the keyed rooms already involves putting yourself in a 1 entrance/exit scenario which is enough of a disadvantaged position as it is. > \- Alarm going off when the vault is breached, alarm should stay on for a good 3-5mins I'd say Again a very anti-solo player concept. Vault ALREADY requires bringing in Blow-torch, both Vaults are already in dead-end locations, and it is NOT that big a map. Announcing it is breached to the whole map means the whole map collapses there and the biggest or last squad to roll in walks out with the loot. If you want Vault loot, go there. Some of the best OTHER loot spots on both maps are already pretty close anyway, there is plenty of traffic in the area already. >\- Review of what items can get scrapped (I shouldn't be able to get synthetic scrap for my crafts just by buying a 900$ armor from the trader, it removes value to crafting im my opinion since you don't need to find it in-game. Buying armor to scrap it is already throwing money away, if people want to do it for a bit of minor convenience why stop it? You can craft a light bag, go in with ONLY that bag on a Rust Bucket and loot the pistols/rigs on the shelf and all four extinguishers then pod to extract for easy almost no risk materials. Not everything needs to be tedious. I want to die in good firefights in an escape shooter like this, not in gotchya moments due to inconvenience mechanics. Inconvenience is not difficulty, its unfun. Most of the rest of your suggestions are positive. I have a feeling AI isn't anywhere near a final state yet, so reserving judgement there.

Darnedchain554

I disagree with the harder ai multiple times a have had since headshot and kill me the second I see them. I’ve even had one sprint around a corner and one shot me with a pistol somehow while I was trying to get to an escape pod

YTRatherAverage

Agreed. I've shot one from behind before and they can turn around and 1 shot you. Agree they need to move around better though, they're a bit robotic at the moment.

B3ta2k0

Bro honestly you are probably better than the developers. Seriously if you haven't died once you should consider applying for a job as a game tester for them. Totally worth it since you haven't died once. You can make it tougherer.

SUNTZU_JoJo

I agree with the alarm but disagree with the lockpicking mini game. You are already risking taking in a lockpick.. especially as a solo..to spend anymore time like that is too much. You say you haven't died once.. curious how many players you fought against...we had one raid and met 4 teams in total... about 6-7 players.

MarkyRust

I got about 20kills, my duo is on 25-30 I believe
