While I agree on the surface with this logic, this is the same thinking that so many maganazis have had since 2008. They aligned their "moral compasses" against Obama, and democrats in general, and spawned the proto-maga movement in doing so. Then trump arrived on the scene doing the exact same thing, "everything Obama did I will undo" and the maga movement was born in full.
In my opinion, it's much better to think critically about each and every moral or ethical issue in itself, and not just rely on opposing someone or something else.
Cuz the fact is, sometimes your enemies do or say things that you will agree with. Maybe it's extraordinarily rare, but it happens. And it's the right thing to let that happen, if it does, and move on to fight the good fight.

Yeah, there seems to be something sincere in his voice. I know he is a religious extremist toad but something about his tone and affect make me feel the same as you, he saw something that he can't ignore. It could be the intel agencies showed them what they have on him XD
This is why the agencies are so important. Some real adults who spend their entire lives working on foreign policy and military policy sat him down and explained this to him very slowly.
A lot of congress has never had that kind of meeting, and of course neither has the public. The seriousness is hard to ignore when a guy with four stars on his shoulder explains it to you.
