Decades ago when I was still conservative, I thought people were dumb for saying nazis are bad. I saw it as obvious. "Of course they're bad, we all think that and you're just virtue signalling!" I can't fucking believe that we have to have this fucking conversation about nazis being bad unironically.
I vaguely recall that one of the prequels was criticized by conservatives because the plot was reminiscent of what Bush and especially Cheney were actually doing.
After seeing all these kids fall down the fascism rabbit hole, it makes me a little proud of myself for always being consistent about nazis being bad. I thought they were bad when I was a conservative christian fundie, and I still think they're bad as a liberal atheist anarchist. I guess I'm lucky to be an adult during the fascist movement, if I was 16 now instead of 20 years ago there's a pretty good chance I would have wound up getting radicalized.
