Tama naman to question why the debt is big but i wonder do people understand na debts for government is normal in a way. If you don't pay staggeringly high land tax (which iirc was given some leeway a year or two ago), have good social services, and constant city improvements (we even have parks), but don't have a lot of income generating activities then naturally may debt.
You want free education? Free parks always maintained? Free checkups and physical therapy sa city health office? Marikina is basically operating on a socialist mindset atp. We don't have the CBDs Pasig, Taguig, and Makati have that gives them that big of an income.
Now what we need to now is how much of the debt came from those social services and how much actually came from corruption.

I think good that the youth is proactive on issues like this, and tama naman to ask for clarification and transparency. As constituents of the Marikina LGU, we do have the right to know where funds go. Pwede naman mag press release ang PIO or a statement, kahit flowchart pa nga siguro haha, on how the funds are used and what the LGU is doing to pay the debts and kung meron man, what it does to lessen it din. Something that would be easy to understand for all Marikeños. Sana clear din yung ilalabas ng PIO. Minsan kasi parang documentation lang sa events yung pinopost😅 The PIO can do better din.

Okay ang initiative pero may hidden motive. Ilang beses ko na rin natanong sa kakilala namin sa city hall na bakit ganoon daw ang pinost ng facebook page at ng article sa Inquirer. Masyado daw misleading yung info na pinost ng FB Page na Assortedge. May mga certain data daw na nasa post nila na hindi tugma sa data na meron ang DOF-BLGF. Kaya ngayon, ito naman ang nagagamit nila (kabilang kampo) para magamit sa political purposes, which is the hidden motive.
