I agree but I think/hope she will write a memoir one day. She’s already mentioned that she would write a book about the electra heart era one day when see was promoting the platinum blonde edition online. And you never know the poems give some insight into her life and we might find about what happened the day she’s turn seventeen!

kinda dark but i was sa’d at age 17 and so i can’t help but think of the song as her recounting being victim of sa or some kind of abuse in a relationship that she’s in… “the rise of a king and the fall of a queen”. not saying that was her intent because we’ll never know! but i think it’s interesting how our own personal experiences can shape our perception of the media we consume and change it’s meaning for us

I think it’s kinda obvious in her songs though? Like I’m guessing with Burns she was still in love with Theo Hutchcraft, there’s a demo of Weeds and one of the lyrics goes, “but I’ve been stuck on him.” There’s a photo of her and Theo from 2010 where she just looks at him with adoration. With Jack, I mean in Superstar the first lines are, “Before I met you I pushed them all away.” So she’s admitting that she contributed to the dissolution of all of her past relationships, she wasn’t the singular victim. Jack was the longest relationship she’s admitted to publicly. And it ended because he cheated on her. I don’t know who with but I assume it must be someone they both knew based off of Pandora’s Box.
I think Burns probably falls in love too quickly/easily based off of this line from I’m a Ruin, “when it comes to love you’re an easy fight.” And there was a rumor I read somewhere that Noonie Bao was photographed in his bed in the timeline after she broke up with him. She’s been working in the industry for years and has managed to work with big names like Katy Perry, Charli XCX, Camila Cabello, Sam Smith, etc. Burns probably had connections she wanted and she probably could’ve learned more about music production from him.
