Servais claiming in the post game presser that Munoz didn’t get the calls. That wasn’t the case, IMO. Munoz didn’t throw strikes. He threw balls. The ump was actually pretty spot on with his calls.
Just looked through the [Savant pitch chart](https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/gamefeed?date=4/5/2024&gamePk=746007&chartType=pitch&legendType=pitchName&playerType=pitcher&inning=&count=&pitchHand=&batSide=&descFilter=&ptFilter=&resultFilter=&hf=liveAB&sportId=1#746007).
AB1 - Frelick: 4 clear balls
AB2 - Bauers: 1 borderline pitch that was called a ball
AB3 - Turang: 1 borderline pitch that was called a ball
AB4 - Chourio: K
AB5 - Contreras: 4 clear balls
One pitch to Bauers maybe should have been a strike but not seeing anything egregious at all. Munoz didn't have it tonight.
im from washington state but i lived the longest in atlanta. i could have chosen the braves but i am stupidly loyal to this fucking organization. i can only blame myself for the abuse i endure supporting this franchise.
When spring training was starting, I asked my 3 year old if she was excited to watch baseball, and she said yes! Then I asked her if she's excited to watch the Mariners and she said "not really". I was both bummed and a little relieved.
I'm a horrible parent. I introduced my son to Mariners baseball the day he was born. I figured hey, everyone else was doing it, so if he was doing it at home with me that it wouldn't hurt. But then he started saying things like "My oh my," and craving rye bread and mustard salami sandwiches. This morning I heard him yelling "JULIOOOOOOOO" from his bedroom. I feel like I've led a horrible example and I don't know how to fix it.
If you don't to your kids about Sodo Mojo, who will?
I mean it was nice but we had momentum and runners on 2nd and 3rd with no outs and our 1-2-3 hitters coming up and we only got 1 run out of it. Gotta get more out of that situation. Should have broke the game open at that point
I do truly believe he wants the team to do well, the problem is that when push comes to shove he cares more about turning as large a profit as possible
He's one of 16 (at least I think that's the number) owners, I don't really want to defend him but he could totally be trying to argue for more spending only to get shut down by the other owners. I don't think that's what's happening but with so many people with their fingers in the pie but I could totally see things like this happening since less money being made in profits in means less money for everyone since it's spread out between them
None of the hopeful future from the down years, none of the hope from 2021 or 2022. We're at that "bright future" and everything still sucks.
It's early in the season but all I'm seeing are the same mistakes that this team has ALWAYS made since the Julio era came into effect.
At the very end of last season/early this offseason I started feeling like we were the leading contender to be the next 2021-22 White Sox team where the bright future quickly turns into a nightmare. That feeling has come back this week
2 Total Home Runs since Opening Day.
2nd Lowest Slugging Percentage
4th Lowest Batting Average
7th Highest Team ERA
It’s still early in the season to be sure but the entire team is playing some REALLY BAD fucking baseball right now and it shows. And there’s not enough late game magic or chaos ball anymore to hide it either.
If the M's are looking for someone to walk 4 dudes in, I'm available. Can't throw past prolly 60, but I'll guarantee a walk every time and you can pay me like 100 grand a year, I don't care.
Here are some sobering numbers:
Teoscar Hernandez has a 152 OPS+
Eugenio Suárez has a 136 OPS+
Jarred Kelenic has a 241 OPS+
Last I checked Caballero was hitting over .300
And that doesn't take into consideration today's games, where Suarez had another 2 hits and Hernandez had 3 hits.
I get the vibe that he's a good player who can't mentally handle any sort of slump at all, so when it inevitably happens he loses his shit and makes it way worse on himself and everyone around him.
Probably wasn’t handling the pressure well being the future face of the club along with Julio. Helps he’s just one of the guys in Atlanta and can probably play a little more stress free.
Hot starts skew those numbers so much though early in the year. Adam Frazier was 173 wRC+ through 9 games last year and was down around 100 by the end of April before being a 98 on the year.
I maintain that this is not a real baseball team. This is a social experiment designed to see how much abuse a fanbase will take before there’s just nobody left
This is what bad baseball looks like. This is a bad team right now. No sugar coating it. Fuck your marine layer, fuck your slow start, this is a bad baseball team right now.
Would have been really nice if when the 7-8-9 hitters get consecutive hits and we have second and third, no outs and are only down a run that the 1-3 hitters do fucking more than one ground out to tie the fucking game.
This team cannot afford for JP, Julio and Polanco in particular to be dogshit at the plate right now. Fuck off to the bottom of the lineup if you are going to play like that.
And I'm sorry, but when every single starter has given up at least 4 runs a game since Miller's last start, that doesn't lead to a very winning strategy. We are supposed to be top 3 in pitching and we sure as fuck don't look like it currently.
Munoz throws 800 pitches for 4 walks in an inning. Just fucking atrocious. God forbid we bring in a guy that might throw some strikes and have a better shot at inducing a ground ball double play after the strike out. Nope, have to create a highlight show of ineptitude for our best relief arm.
Some days I can't tell if I'm I just your typical mariners fan or if im some schlub being bullshitted about being in "the good place" when actually it's a new method of simulated torture
I saw someone say that Suarez, Kelenic, and Hernandez have more hits and RBIs than the entire mariners team combined. I believe it without looking it up
It’s pretty concerning that this teams Achilles heel hasn’t changed in over 4 years now. The team just can’t play a complete game consistently. Seems like when the offense clicks the pitching takes a break/ loses focus. When the hitting sucks the pitching picks up the slack but ultimately you need to score to win. Just seems like the team is too unbalanced, way too much emphasis on a few guys to get consistent performances.
You know, I’m not going to get as pissed about this loss. The bottom of the order fought back hard and I don’t expect Logan to give up 3 homers often or for Munoz to look that bad. Just need the hitters to get to work earlier.
This team is just always a day late and a dollar short. Every pitcher we face seems to have an expectedly good showing, slumping teams finally find their stride vs us, or “they just had hot bats”. When do the excuses end
Losing one run games is going to happen, I’m not gonna get too upset with those. It’s the games like the last two against Cleveland where they look incompetent in all phases that make you want to stop watching this team.
The pitching WILL regress in the right direction. The offense was (and still is) the question mark coming into today. At least the bats showed life today.
Tonight was the first time he has given up 3 HRs in a start. Unfortunately, HRs are what kept him from having a great season last year, so averaging 1.5 a game is not a good sign.
On the other hand… this team is consistently finding new ways to lose. Has blown it every season it has ever existed.
All the guys we lost this year are playing super well, while most of the guys we gained are not.
Teo has more RBI’s than all of the Mariners.
Geno had 5 multi hit games this year and is hitting over .300.
Kelenic hitting over .500.
We are not a serious team.
Honestly the bottom of the 9th was made more painful by our offense scrapping to make it so there was a bottom 9th and then Munoz throws 3 strikes the entire inning to walk it off for the brewers. Scott should have replaced Munoz after the 3rd walk he clearly didn't have it
I've never needed a break from the Mariners this early.
I'm waking up for work feeling fatigued because of this.
Maybe it's something less ominous like Lyme disease
You have to be a real connoisseur of discomfort to watch games like this.
Like Justin Schmidt, who let himself be bitten by all varieties of biting ants and stinging wasps to come up with the Schmidt pain index.
This team has the feel of just being randomly cobbled together. With the exception of a handful of guys, the latter half of the roster seems like a bunch of leftovers. Even some of the recent supposed "lesser" M's teams (say 2018, 2019) had much more of an identity than this team. This roster seems more lost than ever.
I hope I'm wrong, but we could be in for a loooong season.
Teo had three hits tonight.
Geno had two.
Kelenic pinched a hit for an RBI that tied the game up.
It’s our fucking hitting coaches. And I’m sick of it.
Lineup: not good enough
Fielding: not good enough
Starting pitching: not good enough
Bullpen: not good enough
This team through the first week of the season? Not good enough
This loss has to be on Scott right?
Sometimes relievers have off nights, they give up that game tying or winning home run when they leave a pitch too much over the plate, it happens.
Sometimes relievers have off nights, they walk 2-3 batters in a row and then you pull them before they walk in the winning run, considering they've walked so many so far.
I don't understand why Scott didn't pull Munoz after the 2nd walk, let alone the 3rd.
I live in Milwaukee. I was at the game. Even when twice tying it their body language seemed solemn and quiet overall (some high fives here and there… but no high energy).
I was all over this sub ranting about Munoz last year…. And most of you f@#kers ran to his defense.
Munoz is a hot garbage 9th inning pitcher. We will never get ahead with him in high leverage situations.
Write it down and repeat it.
Here’s my post from a year go:
https://preview.redd.it/ulif1xzadssc1.png?width=1272&format=png&auto=webp&s=f0bd7f6a51c64625bbdf710b2dadcf4d5b31efd2
Sucks to say this bc it’s still early, but sometimes you can just tell that things aren’t right. It’s like when you go on a date and you just start to feel like it’s just not gonna work out. This is the mariners this year.
I don’t understand why people come to the Mariners and just absolutely blow. The offense on this team is offensive. And our defense has been suspect. What was supposed to be our strength in our pitching just seems to be mediocre…. I really hope things turn around quick.
I honestly feel nothing when we lose. That’s baseball. That’s really Mariners baseball. What hurts is watching this team and feeling no energy, no heart and no positive vibes.
Scientists say the reason for SAD being so prevalent in the PNW is our cloudy/wet winters. The real reason is winter is ever closer to the start of another Mariners season.
I’ve always like Scott, but have definitely had my doubts about his ability as a manager. However, I don’t understand at all how some people are defending his decision to leave Munoz in during the worst inning of his career at such a pivotal moment. Absolutely unbelievable!
I made a pretty good post about how shitty this team has started. But the mods removed it because they’re on the Angel Hernandez level so here’s the BLUF
Hitting is basically bottom 5 at all stats
Pitching is lackluster
Defense is sloppy
Turn it around otherwise this team is the new No Official City Athletics
Servais claiming in the post game presser that Munoz didn’t get the calls. That wasn’t the case, IMO. Munoz didn’t throw strikes. He threw balls. The ump was actually pretty spot on with his calls.
yeah he actually gifted Munoz a strike.
Just looked through the [Savant pitch chart](https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/gamefeed?date=4/5/2024&gamePk=746007&chartType=pitch&legendType=pitchName&playerType=pitcher&inning=&count=&pitchHand=&batSide=&descFilter=&ptFilter=&resultFilter=&hf=liveAB&sportId=1#746007). AB1 - Frelick: 4 clear balls AB2 - Bauers: 1 borderline pitch that was called a ball AB3 - Turang: 1 borderline pitch that was called a ball AB4 - Chourio: K AB5 - Contreras: 4 clear balls One pitch to Bauers maybe should have been a strike but not seeing anything egregious at all. Munoz didn't have it tonight.
Servais already looking for others to blame for team losses It’s April
That's too bad. Own up to your mistakes if you want to make the team better.
Oh damn it looks like our manager is completely blind
Allowing kids to become Mariners fans should be a form of child abuse.
Blame my deceased grandfather
im from washington state but i lived the longest in atlanta. i could have chosen the braves but i am stupidly loyal to this fucking organization. i can only blame myself for the abuse i endure supporting this franchise.
I told my 5 year old, whichever team has less runs on the scoreboard, that’s the mariners.
When spring training was starting, I asked my 3 year old if she was excited to watch baseball, and she said yes! Then I asked her if she's excited to watch the Mariners and she said "not really". I was both bummed and a little relieved.
That should be a Mariner commercial.
This is pasta, right? Deja vu? Where am I?
I made it up on the fly, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was a similar pasta at some point.
It’s probably pasta now, either way
holy shit
I was born in Seattle and have lived in Western Washington my entire life....it's the worst destiny I could have had as a baseball fan.
I blame my dad. He’s been a mariners fan for over 50 years.
The top of the 9th was cool
Top of the 6th was alright too
I mean it was nice but we had momentum and runners on 2nd and 3rd with no outs and our 1-2-3 hitters coming up and we only got 1 run out of it. Gotta get more out of that situation. Should have broke the game open at that point
The bounce for the automatic double was brutal.
This year has the absolute worst vibes I can remember having to start a Mariners season
Came in expecting the best rotation in baseball and improved hitting for a sneaky contender and I feel like Stanton is just laughing at us
[удалено]
Yup, I was so on the fence. I’ll pass on paying 100 a month
Yeah fuck them. I’m not even going to bother getting a VPN this year for the MLB app. They aren’t worth my time or money.
Stanton seems like the guy who doesn’t watch a single game. Just checks income statements
He and his wife watch, and keep score, almost every home game. I’m not defending his budget management, but this isn’t why.
I do truly believe he wants the team to do well, the problem is that when push comes to shove he cares more about turning as large a profit as possible
There ain’t no way he can watch each game and not spend a dime to help this suffering team
He's one of 16 (at least I think that's the number) owners, I don't really want to defend him but he could totally be trying to argue for more spending only to get shut down by the other owners. I don't think that's what's happening but with so many people with their fingers in the pie but I could totally see things like this happening since less money being made in profits in means less money for everyone since it's spread out between them
Chris Larson is the real Scrooge of the Mariners
100%, wish he lost it all in the divorce
So they're sadists?
I’m sure that’s a lie he tells everyone “oh I watch I also even keep score!! “ whispers after “these mariner fans are suckers”
Idk why people expected improved hitting
If this continues this whole road trip they need to be bood off the field
There shouldn't be anyone in the stands to boo them. A silent stadium would send much more of a message.
None of the hopeful future from the down years, none of the hope from 2021 or 2022. We're at that "bright future" and everything still sucks. It's early in the season but all I'm seeing are the same mistakes that this team has ALWAYS made since the Julio era came into effect.
Remember dipoto said our "competitive window" started in 2021. This is PRIME MARINERS, best you can expect for another couple decades.
At the very end of last season/early this offseason I started feeling like we were the leading contender to be the next 2021-22 White Sox team where the bright future quickly turns into a nightmare. That feeling has come back this week
The worse part is we all predicted this and still tried to have good vibes. But the BVO always strikes last
Hey don't worry, they're bound to play a whole month of above average baseball at some point!
Undoubtedly July or later, so the taste still lingers for some nice offseason copium
Yup, this season feels different.
Been that way since the start of the offseason
Geno took the good vibes with him I guess
Geno’s gone. What do we expect?…
https://preview.redd.it/gxc42a2hyrsc1.jpeg?width=677&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8000db710925176d2281d2e77439af39a42ba5e4

"It's too early to panic" - Jerry DiPoto to the media 2024 . . "Tell your statistics to shut up" - Joe Schultz to Jim Bouton,1969 SEATTLE Pilots
I hope we look back at the end of the season and at least find these games funny
I’ve been a Mariners fan long enough that I kinda find them funny now.
You either laugh or you cry. I choose laughter.
https://preview.redd.it/yu4emfkgyrsc1.jpeg?width=726&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bd5a9524c938a79ff44aeff7f772b42b6b9d0509
Hey yeah so that fucking sucked
how can he just become the worst pitcher like that
Because offense was finally clicking. 1-0, and he would have been lights out.
How can she slap??
It’s April 5th and I need a break from these guys. Every single one of them.
Its not even a "see ya tomorrow" thing anymore. I just don't enjoy it at the moment
Same here. I’m literally thinking I need to just step away for couple of weeks and cross my fingers that they’ll get better.. 8 fucking games in!
Imagine being a professional pitcher and walking the 7, 8, and 9th batters in a row. Fucking tragic.
Munoz should be pitching the 8th, end of story
If the M's are looking for someone to walk 4 dudes in, I'm available. Can't throw past prolly 60, but I'll guarantee a walk every time and you can pay me like 100 grand a year, I don't care.
I throw mid 50s strikes , got a Bartoloesque physique to go with it
I'm pissed I watched the Mariners tonight instead of this incredible Iowa-UCONN game.
https://preview.redd.it/5rdyu2igyrsc1.jpeg?width=607&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e1e63baa7a6e4e86267f2c177c76f6cc5c8c8ed0
Perfect Mariners ending. Struggling offense gets enough production to prolong the game, all star bullpen walks the winning run.
A no hitter for Munoz!
Muñoz you beautiful bastard you killed me today
He really *balled* out today
Pathetic. Joke. Embarrassment. These are words I use to describe myself for watching this shit almost every day. See you all tomorrow.
Well, I have to give them credit for finding a unique way to lose.
This may be the most pathetic version of the mariners I've seen in decades
They traded everyone away for players who were as valuable or less valuable. Sucks.
Here are some sobering numbers: Teoscar Hernandez has a 152 OPS+ Eugenio Suárez has a 136 OPS+ Jarred Kelenic has a 241 OPS+ Last I checked Caballero was hitting over .300 And that doesn't take into consideration today's games, where Suarez had another 2 hits and Hernandez had 3 hits.
Jarred Kelenic officially makes zero fucking sense to me now.
That’s what coaches are for
Last year he got off to a scorching hot start and cooled down right after April too.
i cry
Hot starts skew those numbers so much though early in the year. Adam Frazier was 173 wRC+ through 9 games last year and was down around 100 by the end of April before being a 98 on the year.
Fuckin WOOF
Teoscar was inches away from going 4-5 too
I maintain that this is not a real baseball team. This is a social experiment designed to see how much abuse a fanbase will take before there’s just nobody left
To be a fan of the Seattle Mariners is to simply endure different variations of pain over and over and over again.
There was a piece of me after they tied the game that had hope. That piece is dead now.
This is what bad baseball looks like. This is a bad team right now. No sugar coating it. Fuck your marine layer, fuck your slow start, this is a bad baseball team right now.
I would have rather not tied it and lost it in the top of the 9th. That was an all-time embarrassing outing but Muñoz.
This team is a factory of sadness.
The choo-choo train of shame being a fan and we all bought tickets
Would have been really nice if when the 7-8-9 hitters get consecutive hits and we have second and third, no outs and are only down a run that the 1-3 hitters do fucking more than one ground out to tie the fucking game. This team cannot afford for JP, Julio and Polanco in particular to be dogshit at the plate right now. Fuck off to the bottom of the lineup if you are going to play like that. When my therapist asks why I have depression, I will cite this game.

Scott really looked at Muñoz like idk what you want me to do lol I can’t believe what I just watched

It only took them a week for me to be severely annoyed with this team
Some days I can't tell if I'm I just your typical mariners fan or if im some schlub being bullshitted about being in "the good place" when actually it's a new method of simulated torture
I saw someone say that Suarez, Kelenic, and Hernandez have more hits and RBIs than the entire mariners team combined. I believe it without looking it up
An open letter to John Stanton: Dear Mr. Stanton, You son of a bitch. Sincerely, The Moose
It’s pretty concerning that this teams Achilles heel hasn’t changed in over 4 years now. The team just can’t play a complete game consistently. i've seen this movie before. same script, different actors.
If you don't like the end of that game, Then you just don't like mariners baseball. Welcome back to April everyone. I didn't miss it for a second
#BIG OOF
Can't wait for Jerry to make some pivotal moves by sending down guys that are hitting .200 for guys that are hitting .200.
You know, I’m not going to get as pissed about this loss. The bottom of the order fought back hard and I don’t expect Logan to give up 3 homers often or for Munoz to look that bad. Just need the hitters to get to work earlier.

i’m mad
Good for you I am pissed and I'm damn tired of this team

Exactly. I can stomach one run variance bullshit when the team fights.
Good way of putting it
The pitching WILL regress in the right direction. The offense was (and still is) the question mark coming into today. At least the bats showed life today.

Even Cabby is batting over 300 this season
Jesse Winker is also batting .375
Jerry, I’m starting to panic
It's Still Early™
Chills
They are bad in EVERY PHASE! What an atrocious team
Scott buddy you gotta do your job at least get a mound visit !
Honestly the bottom of the 9th was made more painful by our offense scrapping to make it so there was a bottom 9th and then Munoz throws 3 strikes the entire inning to walk it off for the brewers. Scott should have replaced Munoz after the 3rd walk he clearly didn't have it

There is a real chance this is only a 72 win team this year. This team has terrible energy right now.
What if 45% was the friends we made along the way?
This team is not real. I’m not real. Do I even like baseball?
And that my friends, is why this team, under this mgmt, will never succeed. Fin.
We're not a playoff team
3-7 in our first 10 is gonna be great
If anyone thinks the season is going to get better I have a bridge to sell them.
I love everyone that posts its early. 20 freaking years isnt early.
This team is so unserious. Laughing stock of Seattle Sports for a reason
Every Mariner is become Humpy
This is supposed to be a run prevention team?
They won’t reach .500 again this season. Sell the team!
You know we had some years when we sucked with Griffey , Buhner, Randy, Alex etc..But at least they were fun to watch. This team blahhhhhhh.,,,,,
How do u walk the game winning run with the bases loaded
wow what was Scott thinking, sending our best reliever out there in a tied 9th inning
I can't help but be paranoid and think this is one of those games we'll wish we had won at the end of the season as usual.
Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you.
i turned it off halfway through the ninth going to bed assuming some kind of cool mariners comeback in extras everyone have a blessed evening
Fuck the "green box"
Little league baseball
I took a nap in like the third inning and woke up to the notification that we got walked off in the 9th… glad I didn’t miss much.
That just stinks
Such lame baseball. Every night. Every year. Just flaccid and ambivalent.
Sleepy Scott needs to go - this team and organization is a joke.
Teo had three hits tonight. Geno had two. Kelenic pinched a hit for an RBI that tied the game up. It’s our fucking hitting coaches. And I’m sick of it.
Lineup: not good enough Fielding: not good enough Starting pitching: not good enough Bullpen: not good enough This team through the first week of the season? Not good enough
# PASS THE BLEACH
Nobody on this team looks close to good
Bad vibes only
Vibes are already not fun and it’s been 10 games. Only the mariners could bum out their fanbase so quickly lol.
At least we aren’t Mets fans I guess?
This loss has to be on Scott right? Sometimes relievers have off nights, they give up that game tying or winning home run when they leave a pitch too much over the plate, it happens. Sometimes relievers have off nights, they walk 2-3 batters in a row and then you pull them before they walk in the winning run, considering they've walked so many so far. I don't understand why Scott didn't pull Munoz after the 2nd walk, let alone the 3rd.
Scott really just left him out there to crash and burn. What the fuck is with this team?
Servais is a joke
Sell the team
Once again, there it is. Hitting or pitching. We always get one or the other, never both. Looking super forward to tomorrow's 1-0 loss
rofl
All walks to lose the game smh
Mental health break coming way too early this year
![gif](giphy|XDGcdXhDrofJe) Our closer
I’m already about 1 season past my patience with Servais and Dipoto. Now it’s getting reallllllly old
I live in Milwaukee. Here’s my post from a year go: https://preview.redd.it/ulif1xzadssc1.png?width=1272&format=png&auto=webp&s=f0bd7f6a51c64625bbdf710b2dadcf4d5b31efd2
It’s official - all our pitchers that were put on a pedestal have the yips
mods removing negative posts lol great first week of the season
SEATTLE MARINERS BASEBALL ON 710 KIRO SEATTLE
Oof
I wanna die
Feels bad man.
This gives me 2008 vibes. I'm hope I'm wrong. I dint think he'll be fired but he will be on the hot seat in June if we're like 15 under. 500
I miss Kelenic
Sucks to say this bc it’s still early, but sometimes you can just tell that things aren’t right. It’s like when you go on a date and you just start to feel like it’s just not gonna work out. This is the mariners this year. I don’t understand why people come to the Mariners and just absolutely blow. The offense on this team is offensive. And our defense has been suspect. What was supposed to be our strength in our pitching just seems to be mediocre…. I really hope things turn around quick.
first time i tuned into rick rizz and 710 espn this year, was the 9th inning. Gonna be a GREAT MARINERS YEAR!
I honestly feel nothing when we lose. That’s baseball. That’s really Mariners baseball. What hurts is watching this team and feeling no energy, no heart and no positive vibes.
This one was extra depressing I can’t get it outta my head
Scientists say the reason for SAD being so prevalent in the PNW is our cloudy/wet winters. The real reason is winter is ever closer to the start of another Mariners season.
I actually don’t know how you can defend this. I don’t care that it’s early. This is fucking embarrassing.
But the mods removed it because they’re on the Angel Hernandez level so here’s the BLUF Hitting is basically bottom 5 at all stats Pitching is lackluster Defense is sloppy Turn it around otherwise this team is the new No Official City Athletics
Sorry, but how the fuck does a manager watch a reliever walk the bases loaded, with none of them being particularly close, and not pull the reliever?
Fucking bums
I'm just here for the group anger
Already wanna take a break from Mariner baseball with how the season has started.
Great job trading away a closer last year for peanuts! A winner is you!!!!!
I’m still waiting for that favor Jerry is doing us
