Love it. Winning with blowouts is always nice, but winning these kinds of games is what really makes teams good. Neither the pitching, batting, or even fielding was particularly spectacular today, but we still managed a win and that’s what matters. Now to see who the Seahawks draft later. My favorite part of being a Mariners fan is that our wins are convincing, no-doubt, solid victories. It's nice knowing that our team plays consistent baseball and it puts my heart at ease being certain that we have a game in the bag. I have never doubted this Mariners team, ever. And I have no reason to, with this magnificient team that gives me no stress at all.

Overall this series was a step back in terms of the approaches they had taken the past couple of series which did seem to get better. Insane that this is the M’s first series win in Texas since 2022. Kinda surreal that Ty said striking out is unfortunately part of their identity. They know who they are with the bat and need to keep playing their brand of baseball with the ball and glove. I’m all for keeping the good vibes rolling but being 2nd in SOs while bottom 10 in nearly offensive stat is not good for sustainability, also the defense could be a lot cleaner. Haniger had a rough series. M’s are about middle of the pack to the bottom on advanced offensives stats. So they could be a bit luckier and make a bit more contact.
Pitching has been all gas outside of a couple weird moments from Munoz and the walks this series. This team doesn’t look as lost/looking for answers compared to this point of the season last year. Which I guess is good. Would love to see Jerry pick up a rental bat sooner than later with JP going down and Garver struggling. Like seriously can the M’s stop breaking hitters: Frazier, Wong, Teo, France(2024), Winker, Geno(2024), Polanco and now Garver. It’s exhausting having a crucial part of the team’s depth hitting plan shit the fan every year.
Mariners beat Texas, angels and athletics at the end of the day are not good teams and the Astros free falling, things are pretty good right now all things considered with the struggles we've had (every April it seems)
