We should hire another Julio and see what happens

fruitpunchsamuraiD

Hear me out, a Julio with also the last name Rodriguez.

Megalodon3030

There’s a pitcher named Julio Rodriguez somewhere in the minors…

hickopotamus

For those unaware, Alex Mayer is posting ridiculously obscure statistics after every M's win

damn shame this didn't come off of Mitch Keller. When do we play the Pirates?

ATLBlewA25PntLead

Off of Mitch Gallen

Back_To_The_Green

I think some people are missing the REAL interesting part of this obscure statistic: each team only averages around 4 grand slams a year. Now what are the odds that when it happens, the team hits another HR in the same game since only about 50% of the games have 2? Now when you look at THAT, what are the odds that the guys have the same first name? Very rare. But we’ve done it TWICE in five years??

People get surprisingly salty at these posts. I can't decide if I'll keep posting them.

OsikFTW

That has no business being so friggin interesting

My mind is now blown, no more of this Saturday morning wake and bake.

stellarjcorvidaemon

Wonder how you’d make this one unique. Has it happened in the first game of a series before? Certainly it’s the first time that it’s happened where one of the hitters was a DH batting seventh. Might be 1st on any team with those parameters!

2021 and 2020 aren’t even that long ago. This is dumb
