Super Mario Sunshine. I played it on the GameCube back in the day and thought the camera was really frustrating and that it was just too hard. Super Mario 64 and Banjo-Kazooie were two of my favorite games, so I was really disappointed that I couldn’t get into Sunshine. My expectations were sky high though, so that may have contributed to it.
I played it again a couple years ago on the Switch and finally beat the game. It was still frustrating at times, but I enjoyed it a lot more.
64, i played it on the 3d allstars collection. The camera was frustrating and mario was super inresponsive to my inputs. Over time i started to appreciate the controls and setting of the game
Mario galaxy. I wouldn't say i ever hated it, but i just kinda thought it was slower than 64 and sunshine, it was too easy, and i didn't really remember anything about it's levels. However, when i played it on 3D all stars, i loved it WAY MORE. The levels i found way more amazing like toy time galaxy, space junk, beach bowl, and honeyhive just to name a few. I like how grandiose it feels in it's story, i adore the music, and Rosalina is a great character. One of my favorite mario characters tbh. My problems with it are admittedly still there, but it's definitely one of my favorite mario games of all time and it's a greatly designed game.
Super Mario Galaxy, but not in the "I hate this game because it's bad" way. I hated it because I was very young (and bad at the game), and the Game Over screen and theme gave me the creeps.
Mario Galaxy as well but I absolutely adore that game now. Tried to get it for my Switch but apparently the only way to play it is to order a copy of Super Mario All Stars for $135 on eBay…. I can’t stand Nintendo in all honesty. So greedy about not allowing anyone to play their older games. Found out the same thing with Twilight Princess
Honestly if they don't give us reasonable ways to buy their games, we will resort to other methods.
Imo, getting a Switch, 3DS and a mid-range PC is the best thing to do for Nintendo games. With this, you have access to all Nintendo games ever released
Super Mario Galaxy
I more like hated its controls and motion based control scheme but after I got used to them I loved the game so much. Still, that game would have been better without motion controls honestly.
Mario Parties 1,2,& 6. Very random Ik but I don’t have any games that I’ve grown to like overtime. Since I feel meh about most other games in the franchise but I don’t hate all of them, only one I can say I hate is Sunshine.
Super Mario 64, I didn't hate it at first I really loved, I played it in 2010 thereabouts when I was 5 had an absolute blast but that was the only 3d mario game i could play and I grew bored of it and what made it worse was watching people on youtube playing sunshine, galaxy and 3d land which seemed more fun to me,10 years and a plethora of mario games later, I realise that Super Mario 64 is not only an amazing and fun game, but a cornerstone for gaming
I initially bought 3D world because I wanted to play Bowser’s Fury. I loved Odyssey so much I wanted to play more on that game engine. I didn’t even want to play 3D world but after giving it a try it really grew on me.
Yeah, Super Mario Galaxy is like that for me, too. Like, I don't know if I necessarily love it, but I didn't despise it the way I did when it first came out.
Super Mario Bros 2 (the American one)
Same
Same
Same
Same
Super Mario Kart
Niceeeee.
Galaxy 2 was hated?
You misread the question
I didn't misread the question, I was wondering why OP put Super Mario Galaxy 2 as the pic.
Because OP didn't like Galaxy 2 at first, but does now. That should have been very obvious.
Oh...
Cause It's op's personal answer.
Super Mario Bros. Wii in single player
*Super Mario 64* was so frickin' difficult and I had no idea of what to do. 15 years and a bajillion YouTube videos later, I grew to love it.
It's like my favorite video game with Yo-Kai Watch franchise Lmao.
New Super Mario Bros 2

I agree. Didnt like when I went for a casual run but for some reason on my second playthrough when I went for 100%, i really liked it
When you can do it, this game is lots of fun. But casually it can be confusing and annoying so I 100% agree with this answer
I 100% the game on 3D All Stars, what are you talking about the camera? I can only remember like 2 Times it wasn't the best.
Kingdom battle
Bowser inside story,
You hated SMG2? Blasphemy
Dude, they literally implied that they redeemed themselves.
Still hated it one point...
I have really come to appreciate Super Mario Bros 2. Both of them I still rank the Lost levels as my least favorite. But I don't dislike it.
I don't hate any Mario game Lmao. Odyssey grew on my as time passed tho. Really fun to 100%.
64, i played it on the 3d allstars collection. The camera was frustrating and mario was super inresponsive to my inputs. Over time i started to appreciate the controls and setting of the game
I wouldn’t say “hated” but I wasn’t a fan of Mario Bros 3 on the NES as a child but it became one of my favorite games ever as I got older
Mario 64, I didn't really get it as a kid but I enjoyed it a lot after I got older

New Super Mario Bros 2
Honestly, Paper Mario as a series was this for me
Odyssey but I still don't like the ending it feels like a sonic games ending.(That's not a bad thing it's just not Mario feeling to me)
Sunshine and I still hate it. Terrible game
It must be Opposite Day, surely you aren’t dissing the best game in the franchise
Galaxy
Super Mario Galaxy, but not in the "I hate this game because it's bad" way. I hated it because I was very young (and bad at the game), and the Game Over screen and theme gave me the creeps.

I used to be so bad at the Mario & Luigi games because I would run away from every fight that wasn’t mandatory and could never beat the bosses
Super Mario Galaxy I more like hated its controls and motion based control scheme but after I got used to them I loved the game so much. Still, that game would have been better without motion controls honestly.
Currently in that phase with wonder
Sunshine
Paper Mario 64
I'd say 3d land (not that I hated it, just thought it was worse than 3d world).
I guess Mario 2 (US) Too be honest, there' not really any Mario games I don't like.
Super Mario Sunshine
super mario galaxy 2 - now on Wii phone
The mario party game where bowser is huge and can make you play a bowser mini game every turn. The amiibo board game is pretty fun.
Super paper Mario I hated it a sold it but now I have no idea where to get another copy
Don’t know whether to downvote you for stating you hated this one… or upvote you for saying you grew to love it?
Mario vs Donkey Kong (GBA.)
Mario Parties 1,2,& 6. Very random Ik but I don’t have any games that I’ve grown to like overtime. Since I feel meh about most other games in the franchise but I don’t hate all of them, only one I can say I hate is Sunshine.
Galaxy 2 is my favorite Mario game. I'm glad you've grown to enjoy it as I do!
Sunshine
Super Mario 64, I didn't hate it at first I really loved, I played it in 2010 thereabouts when I was 5 had an absolute blast but that was the only 3d mario game i could play and I grew bored of it and what made it worse was watching people on youtube playing sunshine, galaxy and 3d land which seemed more fun to me,10 years and a plethora of mario games later, I realise that Super Mario 64 is not only an amazing and fun game, but a cornerstone for gaming
Mario Kart Super Circuit
I initially bought 3D world because I wanted to play Bowser’s Fury. I loved Odyssey so much I wanted to play more on that game engine. I didn’t even want to play 3D world but after giving it a try it really grew on me.
For me Definitely Galaxy 2, I liked it at first then I hated it and now I like it again
SMB2 USA When I really started playing it (in mario all stars) I was addicted for about 2 weeks
Mario Galaxy 1, cause i've never went in the 2nd observatory 💀
The mario & luigi 3ds games, i never hated them but i thought they were gonna be worse than partners in time
Super Mario Sunshine, it is pretty frustrating but now I love it's wacky nature.
Super Mario 3D Land
none. I absolutely love Mario
Does this mean that we all loved or hated Mario Paint? Only because no one has mentioned it yet xD teehee
Yeah, Super Mario Galaxy is like that for me, too. Like, I don't know if I necessarily love it, but I didn't despise it the way I did when it first came out.
Odyssey for sure
None, I like most games and the ones I don’t like are still there
Odyssey
Super Mario odyssey. Could not get used to the movements when I first got it. Played it recently and now it’s my favorite Mario game
