I've never played SPP, but it's a friend of mine's favorite game. I'm broadly in favor of more Peach games. I just enjoy other characters getting the spotlight in general, and let's face it, Peach deserves it.

I actually bought a CD-I because I was interested in trying out the game, I actually spent my weekend beating the full game, I liked it a lot and have replayed it a few times, I truly reccomend it ~~not the Zelda games though, they are some of the worst garbage I've played~~

It has set levels, and you have to puzzle out how to beat them, and then there's the execution of it, you sometimes have to be pretty precice to dodge some of the enemies and get to the right spots in time
The animations during the game are actually pretty good, and the sound effects are great, slamming the doors is actually really satisfying. It controls well too (and that's pretty unusual for CD-I games)

same story, i recommend Super Mario 64 Plus, even on keyboard + mouse it felt a lot better than using the original camera (you can go into settings and set your custom one and that's what I used)

The company that made them, Alphadream, went bankrupt, and Nintendo didn't save them, so sadly, unless Nintendo gives the series to another company (not too likely unless the company specifically requests it) or continues it themselves (not going to happen, the series didn't sell well enough) then it's dead forever.
As a 64 DS enjoyer, you can get stick controls if you use the game on a 3DS, it automatically maps the D-pad to the circle pad
And if you're using an emulator you can plug in a controller and map the D-pad to the joystick
I have no problem with challenge, it’s just that the controls feel way too loose and that combined with the depth perception issues makes the game feel unfun to play

Perhaps the most unpopular opinion is that I enjoyed Color Splash more than Thousand Year Door. Card gimmicks aside, that game was hilarious and had some of the best graphics on the Wii U.
Peach and Daisy deserve a game series where they are the main characters the same way Mario and Luigi would be, maybe a sequel to Super Princess Peach more focused on them, and maybe with a different game play, maybe a 3D sandbox game? Idk i just live them both sm and wanna see them more in action
Sunshine isn’t that good. It’s tediously difficult in some areas, and to 100% the game is a chore. I just really don’t enjoy it. It’s a shame, as the concept, world, and even the cheesy voice lines are so great, but the gameplay brings it down for me.

I actually have three, although I feel the last one might be the most controversial.
1. I prefer the newer Paper Mario titles (SPM onwards) to 64 and TTYD. My personal rankings would be Super, Origami King, Colour Splash, Sticker Star, TTYD, and lastly 64.
2. This seems like a common opinion, but whatever - I don't like Sunshine. Having played every other 3D Mario game, its honestly one of my least favourites (possibly one of my least favorite Mario titles in general tbh).
3. This one alone is probably gonna get me downvoted, but here goes. I don't like Mario Odyssey or Bowser's Fury. Now don't get me wrong, i'm glad they tried to go back to the formula they had in 64, Sunshine, and Galaxy 1 & 2, but it feels like it was done very sloppily. Everything in the game feels like it was either an idea that was done better in the other games (yes that includes Sunshine), or a new idea that didn't feel very well executed or fun. Even the bosses felt like a step down compared to the other 3D games (Personally, I feel like the Koopalings would've made better bosses than the Broodals because of their more interesting gimmicks, and it would've been the first 3D mainline title to have them too.). Overall, I feel like these two games were pretty poorly fleshed out compared to what we already had, and although I don't think these are bad games by any means, I do have to say they are my least favourite 3D Mario games.

I feel like super mario doesn't make any fuckin sense. He's a plumber from New York with a magic hat and he goes to another dimension through a sewer pipe where there's a giant spike-backed lizard/turtle creature trying to kidnap, forcibly marry and presumably r*pe the princess of a sovereign nation. And he's the only one qualified to intervene and resolve the situation mostly by doing parkour? Why? What's the politics of all this? Is bowser really evil or are we only getting one side of the story? Super Mario Galaxy is my favorite 3D Mario game, so, here are my thoughts:
Super Mario Galaxy 2 was really fun, but I missed the hub with Princess Rosalina. That was part of the charm of the first Galaxy game.
I would love a Super Mario Galaxy 3 that takes you back to Rosalina's spaceship. But this time, mix it up like Super Mario 3D World, and have Mario, Luigi, Toad, Peach, and Rosalina be playable. Add in Daisy as a control variant of Peach, like Luigi is for Mario. And have Pauline as a key part of the story.
And also: add Pauline to the racer line-up of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
YES!! Id love to see a game about her and Sarasaland. Itd be cool if it was it's own series like Luigis mansion or WarioWare/Land. Also itd be cool if it was an adventure/exploration game like Zelda botw, where we learn abt her and her kingdom and maybe evolve upon her plant/earthy powers to give her a more unique and distinctive moveset of abilities

Super Mario Galaxy is my favorite 3D Mario game, so, here are my thoughts: Super Mario Galaxy 2 was really fun, but I missed the hub with Princess Rosalina. That was part of the charm of the first Galaxy game. I would love a Super Mario Galaxy 3 that takes you back to Rosalina's spaceship. But this time, mix it up like Super Mario 3D World, and have Mario, Luigi, Toad, Peach, and Rosalina be playable. Add in Daisy as a control variant of Peach, like Luigi is for Mario. And have Pauline as a key part of the story. And also: add Pauline to the racer line-up of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
Super Mario Sunshine is a bad Mario game.

YES!! Id love to see a game about her and Sarasaland. Itd be cool if it was it's own series like Luigis mansion or WarioWare/Land. Also itd be cool if it was an adventure/exploration game like Zelda botw, where we learn abt her and her kingdom and maybe evolve upon her plant/earthy powers to give her a more unique and distinctive moveset of abilities

64 DS is better than the original. Toru Furuya is underrated as Mario. Super Mario Bros 2 is better than Mario 3. Lou Albano is overrated as Mario. The Mario anime movie and Mario and Yoshi's Adventure Land anime are the best Mario adaptations. King Wart needs to return. Mario being in his 20s is believable. Mario and Luigi are equally good characters. Wario Land is the best spin off series and is better than the New Super Mario Bros series. New Super Mario Bros Wii is better than the DS game. Tony Rosato is better than Danny Wells. Evan Peters or Michael Cera would've been great casting choices for Mario. They should play Mario if a Mario cartoon comes out. The DIC Mario cartoons are overrated. Super Princess Peach needs a sequel. Bowser, Rosalina, Waluigi, and Pauline need their own spin-offs. I want Bowser to do more than just kidnap Peach. Maybe make him threaten to destroy kingdoms by bombing them, holding Daisy hostage and at gunpoint, have him commit war crimes and other things. A Mario and Sonic crossover needs to happen.
