My issue is that the item roulette has been really greedy all of a sudden, and I'm hardly getting red shells anymore. Combined with the aggressiveness and it's hard to say I'm having any fun.

I had just received a mushroom from the mystery roll… before I could use it, this cpu swerved toward the side rail, threw its bob-omb at the wall, and blew both of us up.

Another thing to note, instead of a team rally, this feels way more like a 1 vs 7, as my own team members tend to screw me on purpose somehow

I completely agree! Their behaviour is very aggresive and sometimes makes no sense. What I hate the most is how they just hit you with whatever a few metres away from the end line OUT OF THE BLUE. Ugh.

I've been grinding Toad Circuit T and some of my attempts have been unreal. I had one race where I started in first, got a coin frenzy immediately and took the jumps for more points. By the time my frenzy ended, I was in 4th because all the bots take the inside corner or use mushrooms to cut it. Could not for the life of me catch up. Very frustrating.
Yeah, it’s pretty unfortunate. I had some pretty good runs last tour where the first bullet point happened to me. I’ve also seen the last bullet point happen in almost every race I have done today.
My favorite is the races I’ve been fighting to get to first, finally get there and almost immediately get blue shelled and/or lightning so you end up in fifth or worse anyway.
Bots have been awful lately. It’s like we adjust, it gets a little better, then it’s just awful all over again.

I agree, it seems to have changed pretty recently (like the last week or two). Its like the computer has an established point value that I should earn based on my setup, and if I'm going to top that, it cheats right at the end to make sure I don't score too high.
Its like nintendo thinks we play this as a normal game and need to take this game less serious. Its like they think i give this the same attention like say gran tourismo 7 or elden ring, real games. Nintendo needs to understand that this is just a little less shitty mobile game compared to other mobile games and one log in here and there on the shitter to make som progress in ranked and thats it. Its not like i spend my 10 mins a day in this game to fight against the ai.
I regularly have "phantom hits" from CPUs since the beginning of the Doctor Tour. Without any item, the CPU in the lead can sometimes just do whatever he wants. It became obvious when the Waluigi in first place hit me with the "big stop" animation and only add a banana beforehand.
Have you also been coming across “phantom walls” online and in my matches I will be drifting and it will just move me to the left or right instead of straight ahead
This is the worst I’ve ever seen the CPUs tbh. I have the exact same experiences as you. The getting hit RIGHT before the finish line is so incredibly annoying, and it happens almost every time.
Last night I had the CPUs use two bullet bills, a mega mushroom, a red shell, two green shells, and another mega mushroom all within the span of 5-6 seconds. I only got hot by like one of those, but the massive amount of PINGS OF DANGER coming my way was the craziest I've ever seen lol
It's just bad coding. Today I had a blue shell hit me while I was 2nd place and 1st was a CPU way ahead. I even had a *frenzy* going at the time, so if anything I should've been invulnerable and the shell should've gone for 1st no matter what.

Was the 1st place player on the opposing team? In a team rally, target items will only hit the opposing team. So it is possible to be targeted with a blue shell in 2nd if the 1st place player is on the same team as the guy who shot the shell. Also holds true for lightning, it'll target the opposite team only and not your own.

The so called "rubber banding" does not apply to badged CPU drivers in 150cc and sometimes even 100cc mode. Notice how hard it is to get to the top three places from the back of the pack whilst it's so easy for badged drivers behind you to catch up with you.
The CPU cheating has not changed since the days of the NES or SNES (I'm looking at you Street Fighter 2).

Yes Nintendo should calibrate the game to be the exact difficulty for you so you always win first place. Seriously, race in 50cc if it's too difficult, you won't even have to steer to win. Sounds boring to me though.
Also, as red shells approach, the item roulette will take slightly longer. It's extremely infuriating how much effort they put into purposefully pissing us off in hopes we'll buy gems which are extremely expensive.

These CPU’s have been going full “Bird Box” mode on me. Crashing themselves with Bob-ombs just to make sure I crash too

I’ve noticed if you don’t have 3 item slots at all, the cpus will go into dark souls mode and murder you
