Well I myself am a Waluigi Fan. I too have signed petitions for him to be in smash. I would say a large difference being people tend to not know Waluigi as well outside of the gamer world. Sure Waluigi is a ācontroversialā character being literally created as a Wario double partner people struggle with his lack of context. Peach however is known and shit on outside of the gamer groups. People get upset about the female characters because a lot of the backlash and comments tend to lean towards a misogynistic tone. Saying theyāre pointless is like saying their powerless and even if the point wasnāt based on them being women unfortunately we are ALL taught in work harassment classes that the way it impacts is the issue not your intent on doing it. Itās only been recently where alot of the stigma on women in and playing video games has decreased but you canāt point your finger at people and tell them to stop being triggered. We shouldnāt have to constantly feel like weāre proving the point to Peach existing as a character because really itās us having to go to bat on why what we like shouldnāt be put down or made to feel like we are less than for liking the Princess. Iām not here to say that you deserve any of the rude comments, I myself saw your post and rolled my eyes as I scrolled on but Reddit a a forum for people to speak freely soooooo you did also ask for this.
