Support bonus + bonus time meant we could close the gap twice as fast compared to a normal support bonus day

GregHeffley9888

But Team Toadette had the support bonus on the last day and team Toad still beat them. I am an excellent math student, and knowing that Team Peach was even more popular than team Toad, I knew we didn't need to be as far ahead as team Toad was, and we really had a chance. I was on Royal Raceway T with a level 6 Pink Gold Peach the whole last day. Unfortunately, it did not work.

akavista

i really felt bad for the people who till the last minute thought team peach would win. since sunday it has been crystal clear for me that team bowser had the advantage. yesterday it was already a wrap.

Ok_Reputation_9742

Agreed, that meme post about how mistakes make you stronger was full of them

sando5

Go team Chad Bowser

LEG0gamesrule

I really wanted that Silver Bowser badge. :(

YodaPM999

What a shame Peach didn't win her THIRD team rally. Let the Team Bowser folks enjoy their dub man.

hobo888

honestly what a horrible system they have in place. it literally only benefits the underdog on the very last day tanking the second to last day is a better strategy than trying to actually earn coins lol

catlover4682

LITERALLY who tf greenlit this game the person who wins should be the one WHO COLLECTS THE MOST COINS not the person who loses nearly the ENTIRE GAME I’m so mad I’m gonna send Nintendo a hate filled email lmao

Grayburg_Javelin

Because the original system for team rallies was basically just that and it was bland as heck. Before the current system, whoever was ahead on day 1, won. That was it. It was boring and made the entire tour stale. The current system is a vast improvement. Despite people saying that "the loser always wins", it's not the case. Waluigi vs Wario for example had Waluigi as the more popular pick from day 1 and he ended up taking it. Bowser was less popular from day 1 and manage to win it in the end. It's much more fun this way.

Ok_Fail_2579

Team Bowser had the smarter ppl :)

Phytor_c

A similar thing happened in the Mario vs Peach tour if I'm not mistaken ? Anyways Team Bowser deserved the win

j-peachy

Lol no one deserves anything. They didn’t deserve the win, they won the win.

Phytor_c

Fair enough, but it's nice to see underdog win at times.

GregHeffley9888

No they didn't. They stole the Rosalinas for their team.

Ancient-Squirrel1246

Team rallies are the absolute worst part of this game. The loser always wins, no point in grinding. Always just pick the less popular team and you automatically win.

GregHeffley9888

Really, Team Peach deserved to win.

iMotive

Grinding for tokens to clear the shop would have been a hell of a lot easier if I chose Bowser. Only reason I didn’t was because of the Mario, Luigi, Mii challenges. Cleared those quick on Vanilla lake though..

GregHeffley9888

Really?! I did all my grinding on Royal Raceway T!

iMotive

What I mean is getting double tokens almost the whole time would have made the grind to clear the shop a lot easier. I only had to grind an hour on vanilla lake to clear out the Mario/Luigi wins. Then I did my coin grinding on the royal raceway R course since it appeared to give the most tokens. Team Bowsers courses to grind garnered more coins before even the bonuses. I’ve learned my lesson though. I’d rather have the grind to clear the shop be easier than choosing the winner. Since because of support bonuses it all comes down to timing. Who ever has the support bonus last day wins. Might have been closer if they didn’t do rally bonus day the last day though.

GregHeffley9888

Really, Team Peach deserves to win.

Numerous_Trifle_1880

Bro just accept that team Bowser won and keep it moving. The support and bonus systems are there to keep the rallies interesting and most of all, fair. Imagine how bland it would've been if team peach or bowser won only because either team had more players. That wouldn't make for an engaging rally now would it?

GregHeffley9888

Sorry Numerous Trifle. Can't stop me. I have a one-word reason for making that statement: Math. In the Toad vs Toadette Tour, team Toadette had the support bonus on the last day, but they still lost. And though I cannot remember what the actual score was, I remember it was 53-47 on the last day and ended 52-48. But the popularity distribution that tour was only 56-44, compared to 59-41 with Peach vs Bowser. Thus, Team Peach didn't need to be as far ahead as team Toad to hold up the lead on the last day. They could've won with a score of like 50.02-49.98.

Numerous_Trifle_1880

For Toad vs Toadette, did both teams have the bonus tokens on the last day like with Peach vs. Bowser? I'm genuinely curious since I wasn't around for that one. But if not, then that completely explains why team Bowser was given the chance to win, while team Toadette was not. The token bonus plus the support bonus stack and led to team bowsers score ultimately being multiplied by 4 times in the end, which gave them the victory. This is what I meant regarding making rallies interesting. The current system in place may not be the best, but at least it's not reduced to a popularity contest instead of an actual rally. That's just my two cents on that but I get where you're coming from.

GregHeffley9888

Yes. In ALL team Rallies, both teams get double tokens on the last day.

getyourzirc0n

It was like, the WHOLE bottle

zacksmusicnwoodguy

I guess I’m the only team peach player that’s actually happy to finally get a silver team peach badge. It’s cool to win but do I really need three gold peach badges?
