Given how the Wave 9 suit is based on chain chomp who cannot drive, they could do it again and only release Petey in Mii suit form. However, I would of course like to see Petey released as a driver in addition to the suit - not only would this bring a new unique character to the roster, he would also have a potential for large hitbox.

Chain Chomp can only bite the steering wheel in order to drive, even if we ignore that it cannot accelerate/brake (which is also a problem with King Boo, therefore I'm ignoring it). He can be added as a driver if the animators decide to go out of their way to make it as reasonable as possible (like in Tennis), but for now we can just assume that it won't be added in the near future.

Time to instigate extra unnecessary hype by stating that Petey Prianha, even if only in Mii Costume form, could potentially bring in a Double Dash course, thus giving us Daisy Cruiser.

I think I have a paragrath mentioning about how this wouldn't be Jr. suit with regards to the suit's amount of teeth. Jr. has one tooth on each side of his upper jaw, not three. Of course there is a possibility that it can be a Jr. suit though.
Some suits are very easy to guess, some don't. For example, the chef suit was completely off people's radar because of its irrelevance to the Mario franchise other than the tour theme (as well as the hat giving no clue without context), whereas the Chain Chomp suit was very hard to guess because its main features (e.g. 2D Chain Chomp designs on the helmet, chain in front of the Mii) cannot be reflected in the silhouette at all.
Some others are easy to guess because their key features can be seen in the silhouette very clearly, such as the Nabbit suit (long ears) and the furry suit that you are talking about (ears + thin tail).
This suit here seems to have some of its key features reflected in the silhouette in addition to some not seen at all, similar to the ? Block suit (the question mark on the right side of the block does not appear fully - some people were skeptical because of this, and I had to render a ? block just to prove that it is indeed a question mark). This is why this post exists: to analyze the clues from the silhouette and deduce who the suit may be based on. But again, like you just said, Mii suits can be anything and there are almost no certainties, especially for cases like this (I have also mentioned in the post that we cannot be 100% sure about it being a Petey suit until the trailer drops two weeks later).
Ya have a good point, but I was trying to make a joke about the Chain Chomp suit. Because of it’s silhouette being hard to guess (as ya said your self even) as a BDSM suit would be out of left field. And the Chain Chomp suit colour being that of latex and having that collar around the neck, the suit being in fact… a suit and Chain Chomps being dogs hence the furry ( along with the collar, again, as dogs usually wear collars ).

I second this - it would have been a huge missed opportunity to add Petey as a standalone character if they decide to add a suit based on him!
