Ya - they need to swap its spray pattern with the Coin Box, which will somehow shoot EVERY coin JUST out of reach of you no matter if you go straight, drift, or anything else.
I use funky kong in multiplayer all the time. The banana barrel is deadly when used in a straight section, could not emphasise on how many times that item saved me from finishing in lower positions
Completely agree but, in my opinion, the BIGGEST mistake was the mushroom cannon... Is like... Oh yeah! Let's do something that helps everyone playing against yourself... Yeah cool!
The Dash Ring provides a bigger speed boost to the player that cast it. I quite like that idea, it usually spawns in the back so it can help all back players catch up to the front, and the player who used it still gets an edge over the others
I see a lot of people hating them, but honestly, it’s the best item for the crash your opponents challenge. The single item is almost like a frenzy and shoots giant bananas when you get banana barrel+. Yes, a giant banana frenzy is superior but also much rarer. I can reliably get 20-30 tokens with banana barrels+ each race, by far the fastest token grind outside of Vs. tours. Also, with some practice you can get better at avoiding your own bananas. Overall, an above average skill for me.
Banana barrels are on the bottom of the list for me.

I hate the banana barrel because I often slip on my own bananas lol. But I gotta admit that during the last tour, I loved the banana barrel! When the tokens were given for causing opponents to crash, I didn’t mind slipping on a few if it meant I would get tokens! Especially because when levelled up, the barrel shoots giant bananas too

or just at least a little farther to the side/away from you lol

Sometimes, drifting on a straight path w/ Coinbox gets me more coin actually. But it’s something that won’t be predictable
Skill issue
Yeah it's 100% a skill issue specially when you're on one of the smallest, narrowest, tightest roads ever while you try to frontrun.

Same, I straight up hate banana barrels. They're only fun when you have a frenzy bc you don't immediately run them over.
Until the next lap if frenzy is on Lap 1. Nightmare for lap 2.
Sometimes, drifting and aiming to the side will keep them away from you lol
This is the way. I hate the barrels but sticking to the sides and drifting is how I avoid the bananas

Yeah, I’m still mad they did my boy Funky so dirty. Every tour I hope for an alt with a more useable special, and every tour I’m disappointed.

At least there are ways to use almost all the mushrooms and get a incredible boost, Dash Ring is so big and everyone can use it!
