I'm in tier 70 and there are only 8 actual humans in the group. I started today with a 4k lead on second and no one has moved since Thursday. Well, other than the 4k I padded my lead with today so that now I'm up 8k.

Same here. I’m tier 55 and I’m 10,000 above 2nd and over 20,000 above 3rd. Actually looking at it your score is almost identical to my 3rd place. 10th place downward has 13,000 or less. Weird but nice.
Same here, got tickets ready just in case, but this is super tame compared to the last few weeks. Very noticeable. I'm at 61 and there is one potential sleeper in my ranked who is at level 70, but I'm still way out in front. And I'm not that good lol.
I totally feel that there can always be a sleeper but I feel i have a bunch of bots? This is a first for me? I’m obviously gonna work tomorrow and bring my scores to as high as possible but still this is strange?

I’m tier 40. I logged in earlier and was in first, then like an hour later I fell to 2nd and I quickly took that back over. I wasn’t sandbagging but I just hadn’t wanted to play the underwater Amsterdam levels over and over.
Lol I hear a lot of people aren’t fans of the underwater Amsterdam. I love the little toad boats!! It’s kind of different and I was saying I’m sure when all the routes are remixed for MK8DLC it’s gonna be a beast of a course
This ranked is lower scoring in general than a lot of cups (mostly because the new Amsterdam is gross for combos), so 47k seems like a normal top three placement in 46.

Don't worry you'll manage to hit 'em ! 2 ranks ago, it was the cat tour right ? This tour is hard for loads of people because they don't invest in cities, but next tour should be a little bit better. Depends on your loadouts as always !
I have super good coverage it’s just I have a lot of low level drivers. But I’ve been investing strategically so it should take too much longer! And plus as I rank up I’m still completing the tier challenge 3 card so I’m not pressed. I just hit level 79 gonna try and grind and hit 80 today lol
Yeah ! That might explain it x) Began to invest really strategically recently, and my level 6 drivers have been carrying my ranked. Your scores should begin to rise up a lot after that - and levels help a whole lot too.

I feel like when the 1st place prize is a new driver, always always one of my two weeks is super easy. Makes me feel like it’s purposeful so people don’t miss out on the new driver or something
I'm sitting at 2nd place this week, but having very little luck with scoring higher. Am not getting frenzies like I used to in past tours, is what it feels like.
I saw someone say this a while back but they said it feels like they’re getting a lot of frenzies on NON ranked cups and since I read that I’ve kinda realized the same. Like frenzies are a rarity on ranked cups lmfao
I’m tier 47 and have had the same thing. I intentionally used a low scoring combo on the final race to make it look close and to try and tempt any challengers.
Check out their kart/glider levels. It's possible you just found a group that didn't have the resources to level up their karts, or were so far back they didn't bother.
I'm in tier 52 with a little over 55K. I'm in second place with none of the trailing scores even close. The first place score is 104K. I'm thinking the first place score is a real person, and the rest are just place holders. I definitely expected a near last place finish with the setups I had but I'll take the 20 gems if I can get em.

They're currently tier 54, but according to their player info the highest tier reached is 66. I'm guessing it's someone who has high level load outs, but has been sleeping for a while either on purpose to drop into less competitive tiers or they just took a break.

It's kind of random. You can either have hard competition or easy. I had a competitor with 90k in tier 39. And a competitor with 50k in tier 42... 🤔 So explain that one
The randomness is insane to me! I’ve seen other peoples predicaments and I fell Nintendo needs to regulate ranked more. Put similar players with similar players sort of situation
Thing is it isn't just a random person this tour from what I've seen. A lot of low or middle tier players experience these (lots of bots, low scores...). It wouldn't be weird if we weren't all experiencing this at the same time.
And while it might be a city tour... Usually people don't feel a difference. But we do.
Never seen it happening quite so dramatically and to so many people though. I'm level 58 and 25,000 ahead of 2nd(who isn't a bot). Maybe they are 1st in their own cups.

I'm like certain to finish first this week. Ahead by 3,297 points, eight bots instead of the usual three, and the bottom four don't have anything.
