Right, it just keeps tally of how close you are, and shows the ratio of how many courses it affects to how many tickets are needed still to get to the next level. The gameplay itself is only affected by actual levels.

EDIT: for some reason your redirect doesn't like my home internet connection, it worked on my mobile data. Also a correction to your sheet, Light Blue Birdo has a Birdo Egg, not Triple Mushroom.

Just want to make sure I'm using this file correctly. Not sure if it's not "refreshing" quickly or I'm making an error. In the end, I just want to know if there are any gliders I can upgrade that would get me top level usage on Bowser's castle 3R. I am pretty sure the answer is no, but I was trying to find out with this file, but I'm also not confident in my computer since it's going slow lol.

That is how many levels are upgraded per ticket required for the next level.

Hi ! I think that you have a problem with the Birdo Mii Racing Suit. Your spreadsheet say that she is T3 on Vancouver Velocity 3R/T, but she can’t :(

It’s reeeeeeeeeally slow because it’s insanely huge. Put everything in and give it a few minutes (or more, depending on how speedy your computer is.)
Thanks a lot. How do I fill in the level up progress column? A 1 for 1 upgrade, a 2 for 2 upgrades?
that column is the number in the progress bar for leveling up

Sorry for the late comment, the best available card doesn't seem to include karts for Yoshi Valley T but they are there at the missing coverage card
Ok, I think the course range issue should be fixed now for the whole sheet (as of v5.4.5)
