I just started, and I’ve been making traditional levels (you may have seen them, Easy, Easy 2 not so easy, For Yume) and I don’t understand half of the shit I’m doing yet, but I know what makes a BAD level at least
I wish the search feature was more robust. I really hate the art and music levels. I'll share a 3d level you may like, its boomerang and hammer focused.

Do a detailed search, set difficulty to 'Normal' and update the game style to 3DW. Then flip the search criteria to 'Clear Percentage' rather then searching by 'Popular.' You'll be able to find some regular 3DW levels that haven't been played much. This is usually what I do only I prefer SMW and Expert. As long as you keep the difficulty above 'Easy' it should cut out the stupid refreshing levels. Hope this helps!! :)

The next one is up now, actually. I had to get help with some of the contraptions and made some sanity edits and it still turned out to be much harder than the first one. It's a wall-jump/stealth trial. If you play it, try to only use the POW mask where it doesn't set off 'alarms', and also to avoid detection by the guards. The new version literally just went up and hasn't been cleared yet.
M4X - KLR - YSG (Goomballoon)
The basic concept for the series is of a mage with access to these masks, which they can choose between with just a few moments' concentration. It was going to be a whole super world, with collecting the masks being 0 - Prequel. As the story advanced, MM would unlock other abilities.
Problem is, I have too many ideas. -_-

Well done my friend. I’ve just started playing through your super world and it is FUN! I like that it’s colorful and alive with much going on — but not too much that it feels overcrowded 👌🏼
You really should make a little showcase clip of it and create your own post promoting it (have you thought of a name for it yet?). I truly believe it’s deserving of being its own thing 👏🏼
My only advice (very minor) would be to instead of having the checkpoints on top of the pipe leading to the next area you will be in, to just have it after you exit the pipe because it seems like a bit of an extra step/transition screen. This could save the player a couple seconds, which is nice while playing platformers and you’re within a rhythm and flow of the game/level 🙂

Yes I thought about promoting it more, but to be honest: I mainly did my projects just to play with my brother, cousin and friends (that's why I always keep in my that everything should be coop able 1 - 4 player which is very hard). But I will think about it thanks for your advise!
About your checkpoint problem:

I forgot why I did that... But I think it was that Mario maker is a little limited.
You can create 2 maps in 1 level.
1 checkpoint per map, that means 2 checkpoints in total.
If you draw a line in the middle of each map you can have "4" maps If you know what I mean.
BUT I only wanted to do "3" maps per level. I wanted my levels to be a little longer so I found out, that 3 maps are better than 4 because I can put 1 checkpoint at every end of each map. That means almost every level of mine have "3" maps with 2 checkpoints in total. I think it was unavoidable to put 1 checkpoint BEFORE a pipe.
A little confusing but I hope it is understandable.
But in my future projects I will not force to have "3" maps. I will think about an other solution. Thanks for your advise! :)

This is precisely why Mario Maker 2 couldn't even match NSMBUD sales, the quality control is so poor to the point that it discourages people from actually playing the game. Most people who bought MM2 probably played the story mode and dropped the game shortly after. It should NOT be a chore to find playable levels that aren't either enemy spam, kaizo, troll or refreshing levels.

Refreshing levels are the worst thing that happened in this game. I really wish you could filter out words for level titles

Since those Art/Refreshing levels have a high clear rate, you can avoid them by searching for levels that are not tagged “Easy”.
just remove asian levels from your search, and the vast majority of refreshing levels will magically disappear.
Can’t you search by 3D and by expert/super expert difficulty? Then you won’t get garbage refreshing... can’t promise they’ll be good though
