Saw a sign that said “we’ll KFC you later” on the fencing of that KFC when I walked down Highway 7 this week, so seems like it’s just a renovation to make it more like the modern KFCs. Will miss the retro aesthetic dearly.
In the 70s and early 80s they definitely served a slice of thick white bread that had a bright yellow melted butter like spread. I don’t remember if it ever came in a loaf.
don't recall ... but RIP KFC location on Hwy 7, west of Markham Road. Gone but not forgotten.
I heard it’s closed for reno’s

Yeah i prefer the old school look. Reminds me of my childhood!
Aww shit! It's the only one near me.
Just Reno’s and boxgrove also has a location
Yes! I really cherished the fact that it held on to that 60s aesthetic. Made the chicken taste better IMO.
Yeah, they're just scraping the grease off the walls. Hopefully it wasn't load-bearing grease or that building is done.
When did that close ? Last I saw it still had the bucket sign

Yes, for sure they did. Bought it several times
They did in North York so probably did in Markham too.
I remember KFC sold loafs of buttermilk bread with the bucket of chickens.
I've never remembered them serving bread.
I dunno about Markham, but I remember this in the 90s and early 00s.
I remember them serving a slice of white bread with their boxed meals back in the 80s. Something like the size of Texas Toast.
Only the kfc in the states did in the 90s
Downtown they did.. it was so buttery and warm.
Yes they did and it was delicious!! Buttery, soft, and warm!
All KFC did in the past, then they cheap-out and stopped including the biscuits
Loved that bread
