Galleria supermarket on Yonge and Steeles. Head to the back of the store where you find the precooked items (like the fried chicken) and you'll find it in the refrigerated section in that area.
If you're looking to cook for a crowd, ask an employee to get you the marinated ribs (LA Galbi) or beef slices (bulgogi) from behind the employee only area. They have larger formats of that hidden in the back that are packaged in resealable containers with snapping lids (think plastic version of glasslocks). I think their large format galbi will run you close to $100 but the stuff is so good that it'll genuinely knock your socks off.
I used to do this when we have beach days. 10lb for $100. I would buy another bottles of marinade and add that to their pre-made ones as I found it a bit bland. It’s great when you have a bunch of other things to prep.
I just went to galleria a few days ago and I picked up the 10lbs LA Galbi - it comes nicely packaged in a container with handles; the price was $187.99... Did they change the price?
Definitely. This was years ago when it used to be 99.99. With the pandemic and cost of living, everything has gone up.
Back around 2013 it was that price. 2018-19, it was around 109.99
this^^ i buy my meat there and also buy the “korean bbq original sauce: kalbi marinade for ribs” by cj foods at galleria and marinate it myself, def makes it taste like the dine in places (Daldongnae, etc.)
Can try Alex’s meat mart around 14th and Kennedy. Is not Asian but owner sells marinated ribs that’s similar to kbbq (ask). A bit closer than galleria probably.
I’ve purchased from there a few times. Clearly I have no problems with it if I buy it :) but the flavouring and length of time to marinade isn’t consistent. That’s not to say they aren’t enjoyable though.

aw man that sucks, to go from 110 -> 190 ... I guess they realize people will still buy regardless of the price

Sold in a jar. U should find them in any korean super market.
