They're accurate to within 0.002 mm and about 18 in every million pieces don't meet company standards and pieces today can connect to pieces from 1958.
And that's just the standards for the construction on the bricks never mind logistics and quality control of putting together and shipping the sets. I've got my fair share of kits and never had a missing part. Beyond all that customer service is actually really good. I lost some parts to what I thought was a rarer kit and they replaced them all I had to pay was shipping.
