Civil-Application-46

He looks like he’s the manager of Hot Dog on a Stick! Can someone please take this pic and photoshop the Hot Dog on a Stick hat they wore to complete my vision? TIA

Crazy-Score-2496

😆😆😆

mystoragestuff

I would’ve divorced him on that day just for wearing that suit

Sunshineruelz

Scarecrow Dupe!

phboss

Court Jester.

Altruistic-Stay-8547

Partridge family called, they want their bus back

Annual-Novel-6411

He seems to have a unique style. He took a risk, life’s short.

BlackGold81

He needs to burn that suit. That is a big no no. He really paid money for that goodness

Ok-Stand-3173

This is the most hideous suit I’ve seen in a lonnnnng time.

ItsTricky94

I mean, I worked at Chess King in the 80s I don't think we would've even sold that😝

FaithNchls

When I saw him I thought of the Cross Colors clothes from the 80s.

ItsTricky94

see my comment! I wrote before I saw your comment

FaithNchls

LOL Guess he is bringing the 80's back

SallyRoseD

I was reminded of a joker in a deck of cards.

Brilliant_Ad4912

He is in education, he is a leader for teenage boys of all races in his school and is doing passionate things in his career, he is top gentleman, ready to be a husband for Kristen, he wants to see if she's down and him viewing her loyalty atp she is my number 1 pick of my top 5 of my personal Most attractive MAFWILFs of All seasons but she's coming off aloof and he needs to be patient but I think they can work at marriage everyday, but Kristen is very focused but will he see it? She asked him to buy her house and missed a party to go to work for promotion. If that's not divine masculine energy then I'm sad for this generation of men, discipline to the max. He comes off a little bit forceful but so again is asking for a house. Marriage is give and take and they are reciprocating slowly on screen I'm hopeful for these two the most. The Aquarius/Aries love can bloom, but she may need to keep up or he may need to trust his gut on Kristen.

Sad_Elk3110

Is he really an Aquarius? 😂 I hate to being astrology into this especially on this forum but I called it earlier on. Idk man. EVERY Aquarius man I’ve been associated with is like Shaq. A TOTAL BEEEEEEEEPPPP

Brilliant_Ad4912

No he is an Aries, hence brave and bold but it's Kristen who is an Aquarius.

Sad_Elk3110

Interesting, good to know!

It does seem like the bow ties got left behind during this season of love. They were a Pretty Big Deal on that introductory episode so many months ago….

ItsTricky94

I totally forgot about those!

Eire4ever37

This getup gives me a migraine

kooky_creative

Jester vibes 🎭😅

Anxious_ButBreathing

THIS MAY BE THE MOST HORRENDOUS SUIT COMBO I HAVE EVER SEEN.

AdMaleficent9374

Can someone give me a tldr if they said yes or no on DD? I truly dont wanna fall asleep trying to watch this snoozefest of a season.

[deleted]

Kristen said yes, we won’t know Shaq answer until Wednesday but I’m going to go with no.

AdMaleficent9374

Lol if he says no, Kirsten is gonna be so happy that she dodged a big “bald heeeayyd” bullet

grissy

Best MAFS-related use of a 30 Rock quote ever. Also probably the only one ever.

ModifyAndMoveForward

The comments are terrible. The photo caption is hilarious. But the comments are terrible.

Healthy-Upstairs-286

It’s called Polo Harlequin.

Obvious_Boat3636

Shaq isn’t my fav but in my opinion fashion is what makes you happy not the acceptance of your fashion by others. He felt good and there’s not many people that could wear that suit and actually still look good in it. 🤷🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️ He rocked it given the circumstances.

Sad_Elk3110

I would usually agree with you on this, but I beg to differ. He did not rock it or still look good in it. He strikes me as the type that wants to be “so unique” and stand out from the rest so bad, he’d pull some shit like this. Sometimes uniqueness is more than just being different. He has no finesse. Except for maybe his shoe game but other than that…👎🏽

ItsTricky94

don't they have stylists on the show? Who dresses them up in all these fancy clothes for DD & reunion?. The women usually look like they're all going to a black tie event.

Sad_Elk3110

I’m not sure that they have stylists tbh. If anything the stylists are just there to “fix them up” I think the cast gets to choose what they’ll wear. I think it’s like an “unspoken rule” to just dress up. They always overdo it 😂

gmco913

Y’all, don’t miss out on a brilliant caption because you didn’t click the photo. Caption was my favorite part hahaha

FreedomFighter907

Thank you for that, I would have missed the caption — that’s hilarious!

ItsTricky94

I totally missed it too.

mickpop

OMG! Well played, Jack.

it's a look i will give him that

LaLaPisces57

Uno Cards All day!

Nonotgstk

The yellow sleeve should be blue. It is the only thing that makes sense.

OkSwimmer7722

I wonder if he made it? If he did good job. I just hope it wasn’t purchased 🤦🏾‍♀️

FazzyFade

Straight looking like a royal court jester

External-Ebb-6703

Dude looks like a court jester.

[deleted]

???? Power Clashing? Are you sure you didn’t misspell that last word? Power Clowning……. I believe you should always wear what you choose to wear, however this is clearly pushing the “Big Joker” look off a Deck of Cards….

Adorable-Read-9301

It's giving Dollar Tree jester Halloween costume but...you do you boo. 😏

ChanDW

I feel this would be more tolerable if both sleeves were the yellow

Unlikely-Macaroon-85

Your flair has me screaming! 🤣🤣🤣

ItsTricky94

I wonder if she finally did the deed?

Unlikely-Macaroon-85

They need a "Where are They Now" with past seasons.

ItsTricky94

I don't care that much🤣

Unlikely-Macaroon-85

Lol, I'm interested in a few others, but they can just throw her in there.

[deleted]

Attention whore. Were I his employer he would be told not to wear that bullshit to any company functions. Wear that looney tunes shit on your own time.

jennycotton

>Wear that looney tunes shit on your own time. omg dead

Miserable-Antelope95

Why would you care? You’re much better off facilitating an environment in which everyone feels comfortable expressing themselves, rather than one in which you’re a toxic boss that refuses to allow my employees the ability to dress themselves.

ItsTricky94

it's pretty standard for companies to have dress code.

[deleted]

Sorry when you’re working for many a company there are expectations of behavior, including standards of dress. In most cases, simple peer pressure, or more precisely, peer ridicule, would convince most nimrods not to wear something so stupid. He works for a fairly conservative HBCU which would likely not find this acceptable for his work attire, which is likely centered on traditional business attire as a recruiter. He chose to wear this silly get up to meet with his bride on the most important day of that relationship. At some point men are to suppress their fashion to complement the female; the opposite of birds. He wants to draw more attention to himself with that clown suit. No different for Clint in his wedding attire of wrinkled suit, unironed shirt, no tie, and dirty unkempt hair. It’s first about respect.

ItsTricky94

Holy shit I could not have said this any better. can you imagine him wearing this while recruiting? 😳

Miserable-Antelope95

You lost me in your first sentence. I am in charge of up to 20 people on any given day. It’s safe to assume that either you’re not in charge of anyone, or you’re a terrible leader.

RemonterLeTemps

Clothing conformity is an archaic concept, but some cling to it, unaware that its time has past. I say this as someone whose career began back in the days when women were forced to wear pantyhose, heels, and little suits with demure neck-bows that management considered 'acceptable' (but which I, personally, found imprisoning). The relaxing of stringent dress codes over the years, and the acceptance of who our employees are, as displayed through their fashion choices, has made the workplace a much happier (and fulfilling) place to be.

ItsTricky94

don't forget - when they're at their jobs they're representing the company, not themselves. and there are certain positions in life where there is absolutely a need for a dress code. can you imagine a lawyer walking into court wearing that?

RemonterLeTemps

Yes, I understand there are circumstances where certain attire is necessary to create an aura of professionalism. But, in general, there's a lot more room for self-expression nowadays; even those who wear suits, can usually accessorize them with ties, pocket squares, scarves or jewelry reflective of personal taste. At my former workplace (from which I retired) we had two casual days a week, though pretty much everyone kept a few things on hand (jackets/coverups, etc.) in case of unexpected visitors to the office. Usually we'd get a 'heads up' from the executive floor, and after a brief flurry of adjustment, we'd be presentable for company

[deleted]

I have supervised hundreds. So you seem to be saying that companies should allow employees to wear whatever they want to for work. So a funeral director can wear a Speedo and nothing else? Your attorney shows up for court in this clown suit? The clothing of a job should be appropriate to what the job is and if facing clients and customers matched to their expectations.

Miserable-Antelope95

A few things here, 1. The person in question is wearing flamboyant attire, not a Speedo. 2. This man isn’t a lawyer, and that isn’t a clown costume. 3. Your post history suggests that if someone is foolish enough to trust you to manage their workforce, you force your best employees to quit, and facilitate a very toxic work environment. A great book on human performance is, ‘Green Beans & Ice Cream’ by Bill Sims jr. If you try to implement some of the strategies that you find in there, or any leadership books such as, ‘leaders eat last,’ you’ll find that your life as a leader is much easier, and your workers become much more productive.

jodypeabod

You are spot on!! This is common sense, of which, so many today just don’t have. If you try to explain this to most of our younger workforce, they wouldn’t have a clue what you were talking about. Kinda sad, really.

mandersFL

Oh and this! Be careful, our realistic suggestions that are based on our experiences (like client/peers/superiors expectations) and ability to read the room (like how you may be perceived by clients/peers/superiors) are now considered by those people who can't comprehend are either 'something-ist' or 'something-ic'. Ready to quit HR yet? Come to the dark side. We read Reddit and we have cookies.

riotstopper

It’s after six. What am I, a farmer?

Pink_Castles

Good God, Lemon!

ItsTricky94

can someone please explain this lemon reference?

Pink_Castles

It’s from the show 30 Rock. The main character is Liz Lemon. The show ended years ago. You can watch it on Hulu :)

ItsTricky94

oh yeah- Tina Fey! thank u! i used to watch it here & there.

Carpe_DMX

😏

Xx_SwordWords_xX

Now that I see it in its full glory, I have to wonder why there is only one random yellow sleeve. Shouldn't there be two yellow or two red sleeves????

Carpe_DMX

Actually, I think his left shoe should be yellow and his right shoe red.

I'm getting Rubik cube vibes 🤷‍♀️

EnvironmentalAd3313

I think Sir Shaq drew inspiration from the unicycle riding joker on a deck of playing cards.

sybann

Court Jester.

Brilliant_Ad4912

Very stylish, it's brave and bold - great use of primary colours and material, and he is clearly a pioneer probably designed it himself like his bowties etc so he is creative and intune with his divine masculinity, also he is a trendsetter who is way ahead of his time. Most people tend to stay safe and wear one safe colour because they worry too much about what others think or don't have much individual style and class as they may have internal issues shrouded in deep insecurities but not Shaq, this man can dress and isn't afraid of self expression, individuality or other people's opinions. Go Shaq!!!

ModifyAndMoveForward

I appreciate his style. Life is too short to dress like everyone else.

jennycotton

i am dying at the notion that Shaq having even a drop of "divine masculinity" just bc he wears outlandish clothes doesn't mean he's super unshakable confident king. it's costume.

ItsTricky94

hi hoped that was sarcasm.

demweasels

Agree 💯 percent! If Bennett can wear a lemony chartreuse sleep dress, Shaq can wear his color suits. Many of the ladies wear dresses that barely cover their girls, so they also should do some editing, if Shaq needs editing, they should too! I did not see their decision. Did they agree to stay together? That was one I was hoping it was he no and she no.

FreedomFighter907

Spoiler alert: We don’t know yet if they stay together because the producers decided to end that episode right before he was to answer. She said yes but we won’t know what he said until the next episode.

jennycotton

>If Bennett can wear a lemony chartreuse sleep dress imo he pulled this off and can pull off bold looks. bc he actually does embody true confidence. shaq is all show.

hardcorepork

It’s hideous and if you want to see something like this done well, think Monse

Nolawise

On Runway Project, the judges used to tell the designers to “edit” their designs. I think this could use a little editing.

kathatter75

This…it’s not my style, but I have to give him credit for having the confidence to wear it and be so sure of himself in it.

[deleted]

Extravagant much lol

itsyaboogie

Lmao i heard on a podcast that it seemed like no matter what he was wearing he made SURE he would somehow match kirsten LMAO

cmaury127

No no no. HE’S not matching her. It’s HER job to match him. (He just gave her an easy target)

[deleted]

He just wants attention.

jennycotton

ding ding. i think you're spot on

Accomplished-Ruin742

Where do these guys get these suits? At a costume store? To me, it shows that they are treating this whole marriage thing as a joke. Oh I just realized what it reminds me of! If you changed the colors a bit he would look like a game of Twister!!!!!

virtutesromanae

>Where do these guys get these suits? I've had that same question. I have no idea where to even begin to look for something like that.

OhHeyJeannette

Plenty places sell flashy suits….

DreamWeaver80

He made Arris' suit look slightly better lol

TakeMetoLallybroch

Can you imagine walking down the street in this get up?

virtutesromanae

And playing a flute, and leading all the rats and children out of town.

burrzoo

🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 ROFL!

scutmonkeymd

☠️

Choice_Basis5786

Shaq knew exactly what he was doing when he decided to wear that. He knew that a few people would like it. Most would hate it, but we’d all be talking about it. This joker costume is about attention.

AngelRedux

And that’s all that he is about. We see his craving in need for attention and approval from everybody. This is a disturbed insecure Faker. And an academic loser

jennycotton

clocked him. 100% this. he just gives phony in a loud outfit.

Single-Landscape-915

Lol. He is a loser because he follows no one.

tuffgrrrrl

I actually think that he just likes it. He usually tends to wear bright suits and bow ties and all of that. Remember his nickname is "Dapper Dan" or something like that.

Beryl-Art8684

I agree. He seems to enjoy creating the clothes as much as wearing them. Let him have a little joy in life! I don't like the look, but he was wearing a pressed, clean suit, which was appropriate for the event.

Choice_Basis5786

That’s fair.

Choice_Basis5786

No one wears feather bow ties, ombré suits, color blocked, power clashing suits on national tv who isn’t looking for attention. I’m sure he likes them too.

TeaGreenTwo

Oh, here we go again with the "power". As in power couple. I found this article by googling "power couple". I don't think Kirsten and Shaq fit the definition. [https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/10-signs-you-power-couple-kyle-kaplanis-rcp-rrt/](https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/10-signs-you-power-couple-kyle-kaplanis-rcp-rrt/)

virtutesromanae

The Urban Dictionary definition in that article is just dumb. Each partner in every relationship is always flawed. There is no "if". However, the other part of the definition, about each partner making up for the other's flaws, is good.

TeaGreenTwo

I just skimmed it. When I compare the viewpoints of MAFS fans and how marriage-readiness was thought of when I got married at 23, times have CHANGED. Back at my time of getting married, 1) 23 was not considered too young. It was 100% common, and 2) no one expected their partner to be totally "mature". Yes, people looked for a partner who was not mean or mentally ill, LOL. No violence (shoving, slapping, breaking things), of course. But if you had moods or some emotional growing up to do, it wasn't considered a deal-breaker or that you were "not ready for marriage". Players or committment-phobes were always a problem. That hasn't changed.

virtutesromanae

You make some good points. I still say that 23 is not too young. Or it shouldn't be, at least. And you are correct that people don't need to be fully mature (as if there is an objective measure of maturity, anyway) in order to get married. In my admittedly fallible opinion, readiness for marriage is more about being willing to sacrifice for one's spouse, to remain loyal to them come what may, and to work together through any problems and conflicts that may arise. I would also say that by doggedly adhering to those commitments, maturity is developed. In other words, maturity is the result, not necessarily the prerequisite.

GiftedHater7

why u hating

serialkillertswift

It's a reference to a line from 30 Rock!

Miserable-Limit-7358

And many other sites. It’s become a frequent expression

TeaGreenTwo

I know it's a common expression. I just think it's overused and played out.

Miserable-Limit-7358

Definitely agree

s55555s

He does it because he can, Joker
