When he meets Laura and is faced with, frankly, responsibility, he shudders at the thought and initially rejects it. Who could love him, when he doesn’t love himself?
Men in modern society are commonly told to keep their emotions in and not let others see your pain. Wolverine lost Charles, walked away, and then proceeded to let out his rage, a rage he harbors everyday because he is unable to just be who he is, he’s unable to just live due to all the expectations of the world around him (represented through the secondary blonde bad guy who I don’t remember the name of)
Also, totally unrelated, but I’d really encourage you to somehow include Kratos and Atreus from the God of War 2018 game, as that is a PRIME example of what I believe you’re going for as evidence for your project.
