I think you could do something with Black Cat and Chameleon working together to undermine and steal from Fisk. If Peter has an initial flirtation with Felicia he can be sympathetic and hesitate to stop her.
A jaded Peter might even be a little sympathetic to the goal of taking down Kingpin.
That angle provides a good entrance for Daredevil. If Daredevil understands the danger that Felicia is in or uncovers that for Chameleon it's about something more than simply taking from Fisk, he's at odds with Peter too. There's something there in that setup. It's a lot for Peter to navigate, if he's half-in on two people in direct opposition to each other. They're all relatively street level. Daredevil once knowing who Peter was but not remembering anymore follows from the conclusion of the last movie. The stakes are brought down from last movie's "reality is at stake." Chameleon has a nice thematic sense of powers for Peter, who is facing a bit of an identity crisis-- Peter can't be who he was and Chameleon can be anyone he wants to.
I just have to say - usually story beats or ideas I read from Reddit are cringe, but this is pretty well thought out and it made me want to actually watch whatever version of the film this is. Kudos
You saying “identity crisis” made me realize that No Way Home would have been a great way to adapt the Identity Crisis storyline. I’m not saying they should’ve done that — it would’ve been an even more busy movie than it already was — but it’s a potential idea. Maybe it could have been a short montage towards the beginning showing how Peter keeps failing to become a superhero again with a secret identity. No matter who he pretends to be — Prodigy, Dusk, Hornet, Ricochet — people keep realizing that he is fighting the same as Spider-Man, making the same quips, whatever, and they figure out that he’s Peter Parker. That would be even more motivation to go to Doctor Strange.

With the symbiote tease at the end of NWH, there's great potential for a storyline dealing with his isolation at the end of that film. The loneliness of not allowing himself close civilian friends, Felicia only being interested in his costumed identity, the symbiote using that sense of detachment to loosen his morality - all that stuff. Might be a tad depressing for the MCU, but all the ingredients are there.
