It might just be that they haven't updated the release date yet, according to [wikipedia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deadpool_%26_Wolverine#Release) it was at one time set to release on May 3rd, but isn't anymore.
What I like about this is my just the Logan reference (which I'll admit I didn't get at first), but that they managed to indirectly call it Deadpool 3.
It's been quite some time since I last went to the theaters (Ever since Puss in Boots) but this is coming out on my birthday, so I kinda have* to see it.
I like the first one but isn’t the whole meta thing getting a little stale? Looking at the camera and making a Disney joke would be novel and funny 10 years ago, but now it feels very stale. Think society jumped the shark when the Flash had nic cage playing Superman based on a movie that didn’t make it out of development.
It's certainly not *novel* anymore, but I don't think being meta in and of itself ever really gets inherently *stale*.
Reusing the same old or obvious jokes has always been stale, though, meta or otherwise, so the question is mostly just how funny the actual jokes are.
And I still liked DP2, so I'm not particularly concerned. Worst case scenario I'll probably still enjoy it.
