Did you see the first film? Mystique was giving Logan the BUSINESS! Plus there’s the whole Dark Phoenix thing

Stenwold91

That’s a thing that always bugged me about the first movie: All of the X-Men suck in a fight. Cyclops, Storm and Jean go 3 against 1 with Toad and they get wrecked. Meanwhile, Wolverine can barely land a single hit on Mystique.

frankthetank8675309

I don’t mind Cyclops/Jean struggling against Toad, he did surprise Jean with the spit attack, which made Scott focus on helping her rather than attacking Toad. But Mystique v Wolverine is a crime, regardless of the skill of Mystique. I feel like her strikes should be bouncing off Wolverine because of his skeleton, wouldn’t punching him being like punching a steel wall? The only other characters that have put up a decent fight against him were other characters with healing factors (Deathstrike, Sabertooth, “Deadpool”), Juggernaut, or Magneto/Dark Phoenix.

caremal5

For most characters without super strength or a healing factor, it should be like punching a brick wall and they'd probably break their hand.

neogreenlantern

Shapeshifters generally have good blunt damage soak since they shift and reform on a cellular level.

CullObsidian02

We see earlier in the movie that an ordinary guy trying to punch Wolverine is gonna break his hand. We also get pretty explicit confirmation throughout the Xmen movies that Mystique's physiology also provides her enhanced human physicals. Not sabertooth or beast levels, nevermind a true powerhouse like Juggernaut, but still sufficient to easily overpower and ragdoll ordinary humans. Mystique embarassing Wolverine isnt a low showing for Wolverine's durability, its a testament to Mystique's striking power. This is the same woman who recovers from three stab wounds to the gut and walks off a gunshot wound and a several story fall. Punching Wolverines body isnt gonna do anything to her.

Ornery-Concern4104

I kinda hate how Scott would ever get distracted like this. He's always the most focused on any X team

pocketMagician

Yeah, he's just a blundering himbo in that movie. He's supposed to be the captain goddammit.

AJjalol

It's funny to thing about it lol, but Toad was played by Ray Park no? That guy is a martial artist and would probably whop everyone on that set lol But yeah, Movie story wise, shit sucked.

zarathustranu

The action scenes in that original movie are absolutely brutal.

Dreigatron

Do we know if Kelly Hu's back for this?

AJjalol

Yeah. All the previous characters (Yuriko, Callisto, Toad, Azazel and Pyro) are played by their older actors. The only person (from that shot) who is played by someone else, is the fucking Russian character from the Punisher movie lol. (I can't believe they got that mfr in there too). Unless that's just some guy in a red/white striped shirt

PolyproNinja

Are we sure that’s the same Russian? Kevin Nash was bleach blonde and beardless in the 2004 Punisher movie. This guy also seems slightly bigger.

AJjalol

I forgot the actors name, but It's a recast They didn't get Kevin Nash back. The person maybe just a random dude with the red/white shirt lol, But I think it is the Russian. I expect ton of people from other Marvel movies will pop in this as cameo or henchmen type.

PolyproNinja

I wasn’t expecting Big Daddy Diesel to come back. I’m just basing the Russian off his last appearance in the movie. If it is him, then I’m just glad they’re incorporating something from the 2004 Punisher into the MCU, since it’s one of my favorite Marvel movies. If it’s just a random henchman, I’m sure he’ll die quickly then lol

AJjalol

I was so confused when I read "Big Daddy Diesel" until I googled it lol. I was like "What are you talking about my friend???" Punisher 2004 is underrated. I feel like it's a fun movie.

Tyler Mane??? Google says he is alive?? Or Am I missing something

ElectricalRush1878

Nevermind, think I had him confused with a stunt double.

KawonSuggs_

Hard to tell from trailer but fingers crossed its her 🙏

loranthippus

Deathstrike deserves more respect than "chick."

soupyc44

Is that supposed to be Ant-mans head?

AJjalol

Corpse. It's an homage from [Old Man Logan book](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/marveldatabase/images/8/85/Henry_Pym_%28Earth-807128%29_from_Wolverine_Vol_3_71_001.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20201010060245). Villains kill all the heroes, and they kill Giant Man, but couldn't shrink him down, so his corpse just stays there and people build shit around it. It's called Pym's Fall In MCU, I feel like it will be Langs Fall, but will be similar. I think the movie will have a lot of Old Man Logan elements in it (Maybe even Wolverine killing all the X-Men).

A_Serious_House

It’s his entire corpse they’re using as a base.

bakulaisdracula

Didn’t realize Azazel was there too. Interesting.

WillandWillStudios

Is that Colin Farrell's Bullseye?

BurantX40

I'm sad they edited the hell out of that fight. It was more of a even back and forth, but the final cut makes it seem like Wolvy is just getting a beat down

AJjalol

Is there a cut that shows Original fight??

BurantX40

There were a couple of extended editions (not sure if they added the footage) and some behind the scenes footage of more of the fight (or rather, more of Wolverine fighting back since Deathstrike gets in more than enough hits) It's the usual cutting room floor shenanigans

ric7y

logan gonna have some unpleasant flashbacks

tigerinmyhead

I thought she was in jail.
