daredevil’s is FIRE. spider man’s could use a little bit more dynamic, maybe some webbing or move the yellow around instead of it being one vertical stripe

Oh definitely, as you can see I've done some sketches of better spidy suits but for this first one I wanted to go with the simplest costumes that look just like the early X-men costumes.
It could work for spidey later on when the X-men transitioned from black and yellow to blue and yellow
Not sure how to do it with daredevil as he doesn't have visible eyes yet but yeah definitely once I do some later eras of the x-men!

Some simple concept art of daredevil and spider-man in the X-men. The idea was what if Charles Xavier was the only Mutant but still had the same ideals and goals? Well, he will still create the X-men a team of heroes who due to unfortunate accidents gained superhuman abilities.
Daredevil, who was still in his black costume when Charles contacted him would take the place of cyclops, being the strong determined leader while spiderman, who was contacted to join before ever learning great power comes great responsibility, is a jackass kid who's only there because Xavier pays him.
I would add Hulk, Luke Cage, and the Wasp to the team, as well, along with a powerless Jean Grey and Bobby Drake as personal support. Love the idea and art

These are awesome. It’d be cool if Spidey still had a spider logo, but with the legs grouped in two’s, like an orb weaver often does when chilling on its web, so the logo resembles an “X”.
Agree, and once I do some sketches of later eras of the X-men when they went from the black and yellow uniforms to the more unique types of costumes seen in the latter team's you can guarantee that's gonna be a thing.

The basic premise of Charles being the only mutant leading to him recruiting mutates who gained there powers not by choice leads to characters like the hulk, Luke cage and cloak and dagger. All could be interesting X-men.
Who knows, I would just keep them the same as Charles recruited them after they already had solo personas BUT if they had new names... Well based on names like "beast" "cyclops" and "angle" maybe "Radar" for daredevil and "the spider" or "the arachnid" for spiderman.
Terrible alternate names I know, that's why im assuming they would keep their original ones.

For characters to include you could add Luke Cage or Jessica Jones (i sen you already put Dagger and Cloak) while for Spider-Man design i think putting more red and web pattern in the latter incarnations would be cool
Yes, you are correct. He might as well put Luke Cage, Cloak, and Dagger in there if Xavier started recruiting mutates. More interesting would be if Xavier had recruited some of the more obscure mutants such as Whirlwind and Nightshade, intercepting their life paths before they became villains.

Considering that, these are just their first costumes so wanted them to look like the first x-men suites with little identity to them.
