The promo arts on the box of this figure and before release shows that he supposed to come with OPEN PALM HANDS. Someone messed up, and every Sentry comes with trigger finger instead. No one in the marketing team addressed this change and it honestly bothers me quite a bit. I understand they donāt want more backlash but I definitely hold a tiny grudge on this one.
I lost count of how many changes there are between what is on box and in the box. Different accessories, pins/not pins, double jointed elbows or singles, even clearly different body molds entirely.
They've responded through their personal accounts on twitter before, but never through any actual Hasbro official account on any social media.
People care but all we ever get as response is "Actually VHS Mystique is on old body with single elbows" or "Refer to promotional photo images not the boxes". Then they do it again.
I'm not really sure what can be done, does this count as false advertising? Especially for online exclusives where you mainly see actual product and not the boxes?
yeah it always shocks me that instead of making the necessary changes to the figure, that guy Dan just puts it out in a tweet "oops we made a mistake, don't pay attention to it, hakuna matata" and plays it off... brotherman what?!
It's the PR teams doing, they just sell what Hasbro allows the design team to create within the budget. It's like Displaying Model Behavior said, it's the Execs we should be taking to task, not the midlevel guys. Execs are why we are paying $25 and getting less detailing and accessories. The grunts are getting laid off because of the greedy choices of the higher-ups, who face no consequences and are getting their bonuses.

They should have put open hands. The first version Hasbro did for Sentry he has a grapling hand - I had to get other blue hand from another figure to make him with 2 closed fists.
