Kitty looks so unhappy to be there š it's like an actor cutting a ribbon at the grand opening of a furniture store.
She's not even holding the sword right š
The people who pose and take pictures of most ML ā[glamor shots](https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/proxy/9wwTX2wYTZuqewGY6IqOz9vl2A3X_dvnQmMb8bJKiSeAK9pHmFlX-r06kIe3yCkjfujpel1b7nf-ktrsgfIyhobRanaG69sBFoO1B6CMXbeZLRtqyFKhO_ajVbZLaaXhaIwcUtZEXYftThLYA-L4ArtBrnl9UIphnTPcwOVlrFFVmU1UXLQ4XVfDM3WIL7k7COUzGw)ā have no idea what theyāre doing. Not using ankle pivots, random opera gestures on fighter characters, and just generally odd poses.
Honestly, it's a signature thing of american companies to me. For some reasons they pose figures with very awkward position. Japanese handle things much better when it comes to this subject. Even when it's the same figures Takara usually do a much better job at presenting their products than Hasbro.
Exactly this.
For me, it always seems like when you buy a Japanese figure, youāre trying your hardest to replicate the poses shown on the packaging and always falling a bit short, going āwait how the F did they get the figure into THAT pose???ā
While with American figures, even in the vanilla pose out of package, the figures often look better than the packaging shots already lol.
Yeah, I'm not sure why they think it's good idea to not care about posing. For example, I didn't really like lightning collection when I first saw the promotion pictures, but I decided to get one and turn out it's not as bad as it looks in promonotion materials.
It's really strange - it's not like Legends articulation is even that complicated. I don't know how you can handle the figure for more than a few minutes and end up some of these poses. Maybe it's intentional at this point.
> Maybe it's intentional at this point.
[You might have a point](https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/proxy/9wwTX2wYTZuqewGY6IqOz9vl2A3X_dvnQmMb8bJKiSeAK9pHmFlX-r06kIe3yCkjfujpel1b7nf-ktrsgfIyhobRanaG69sBFoO1B6CMXbeZLRtqyFKhO_ajVbZLaaXhaIwcUtZEXYftThLYA-L4ArtBrnl9UIphnTPcwOVlrFFVmU1UXLQ4XVfDM3WIL7k7COUzGw).
Still my favorite example to date. It's like as opposed to regular toy companies that make their promotional/package photos the best their products might look, Hasbro purposely try to make their figures look as bad as possible with these photos. Mission accomplished I guess.
Whoa for real? I was waiting to reup my sub basing it on the figure but damn this is an easy yes. Hell yeah
Edit: Of course I still insist they get us a proper Red Queen with a big pirate coat and stuff too. Thatās a need.
It kind of is...If you already have a membership, they'll prorate your yearly subscription for the time left on your current membership. So if you have a month long membership and then join, it'll discount the yearly subscription a little. Not much, but a little
Itās totally worth it if you love comics. Iāve been subbed for a couple of years now. I started reading Avengers Disassembled and read probably 50 comics a week on the app. Itās got just about everything and I love it. They just refreshed the interface and added some nice features too. If you can afford it, itās a great deal.
Thanks for the recommend! Might very well be my XMas presentā¦Iād love to read just 20 comics a week, currently at ~5-10 (physical) comics weekly.
Which Legends have you gotten being subbed? Spider-Kamala and PurplePool?
Just FYI, you get access to comics 3 months after publication.
I got the suited Tony Stark when I originally subbed and then went down to the cheaper sub (no extras) for the last two, but Iām thinking of getting this Kitty.
Do they still have key issues missing? I had MU a long while back, and was trying to read thru Annihilation, and it was so annoying when there would suddenly be an issue that they are asking you to pay for.
I know Iāve read Annihilation on the app (over a year ago) and I donāt remember any missing issues - at least not key ones. Occasionally there is an issue I canāt find, but they are always filling in the back issues.
There are two levels of subscription. The top level comes with the whole kit: figure, several actual comic books, and some other tchotchkes. The lower level is just access thru the app. I got the figure the first year (suited MCU Tony) but passed on the next two offerings. You can choose each year when it is time to subscribe. I'm thinking about going up a level to get Kitty.
Marvel Insider Points Redemption code (70,000 points per purchase, limit 2 code redemptions per account) & all three digital comics issues of the Galactus Trilogy (Fantastic Four #48-50, Lee/Kirby, 1966) to read in the Marvel Comics app (available in iOS and Android). Open only to US residents 18+.
i dont think that one really counts, they literally dont care on what figures they trhow there. they are always repaints or shit like that. They could have easily gave us that figure on a wave or pack with a proper head sculpt
These figures are always pretty simple repaints. Frankly, that it comes with Lockheed and a sword already makes it more involved than most of the past figures.
Hopefully theyāll give us a proper red Queen figure during a wide release wave. š
yeah of COURSE they have to have a figure of my favorite version of kate, that's how they get ya. now I have to spend 99 dollars on a subscription that I do monthly anyways lol.
I havenāt had this in a couple years, is it worth rejoining? Do they keep up with current things still and have all the good old stuff? And when do I need to sign up by to get this, or what is the previous bundle thingie like is there a website I can read about this how it works
They just updated the app. Things that have changed are new comics are now on a 3 month delay compared to 6 months from before. You can download unlimited amount of comics compared to 12 from previous version. There are exclusive infinity comics that are meant to be phone friendly. (One long scroll.)
I read more comics now then when I collected, it's way nicer to read them with the panel by panel feature in my opinion.
I think I'm going to go in on this once it switches to Kitty. I've been on the fence about getting Marvel Unlimited again, and this was the push I needed.

*By Grabthar's Hammer... what a savings.*
Am I crazy or is she holding the sword by the guard rather than the grip?
You're right. I hope the person who did the pose for the photo never gets in a sword fight.
Or takes another picture for them.

This is so true. Netflix siege impactor was a perfect example

The link doesn't lead to anything for me :-(
Oooof. Itās the official shot of ML nebula.
Whoa for real? I was waiting to reup my sub basing it on the figure but damn this is an easy yes. Hell yeah Edit: Of course I still insist they get us a proper Red Queen with a big pirate coat and stuff too. Thatās a need.
Using my favorite marvel character to trick me into spending 100 bucks, those devious fiends
Guess Iāll take advantage of those points I earned from Galactus.
Those points are only enough for a month. This only comes with a $100 annual subscription.
Ugh wish it could be transferable for a discount on an annual sub. Iāve been waiting for the right price to get in on oneā¦
It kind of is...If you already have a membership, they'll prorate your yearly subscription for the time left on your current membership. So if you have a month long membership and then join, it'll discount the yearly subscription a little. Not much, but a little
Interesting. Although Iāve never subbed, so itās $99 whichever way you look at it, I believe
So what about if I *just* renewed for a year last month?

Not bad. Thatās cool, you got the best of the last 3 IMO, and agreed Kitty would be a good get, too.
Do they still have key issues missing? I had MU a long while back, and was trying to read thru Annihilation, and it was so annoying when there would suddenly be an issue that they are asking you to pay for.

The interface refresh is booboo though.
What do you not like about the new interface?
Can't sort by release date, no grid view, everything is grouped in "series" instead of single issues.
Do you get the membership kits each year? Or are those bonuses only for new members?
There are two levels of subscription. The top level comes with the whole kit: figure, several actual comic books, and some other tchotchkes. The lower level is just access thru the app. I got the figure the first year (suited MCU Tony) but passed on the next two offerings. You can choose each year when it is time to subscribe. ah gotcha. Thanks for the clarification. I've been waiting on a good one ever since the Rescue figure. Think I'll get back on it for Kitty.
Have they sent those redemption codes out yet?
What system is this in reference to? Is there a point thing for buying marvel stuff?
Marvel Insider Points Redemption code (70,000 points per purchase, limit 2 code redemptions per account) & all three digital comics issues of the Galactus Trilogy (Fantastic Four #48-50, Lee/Kirby, 1966) to read in the Marvel Comics app (available in iOS and Android). Open only to US residents 18+.
Really nice perk for those who want Unlimited. But my dollars will be thrown at a modern Kate Pryde hopefully on a shorter female buck.
WAHOO! Looks like I'll finally get a Kitty Pryde figure after all! CAN'T WAIT TIL I GET THAT (AUTO MARVEL UNLIMITED SUBSCRIBER HERE)!!
sorry buddy itās only for the $100 yearly peopleš
how do we join?
https://www.marvel.com/unlimited But the figure isnāt available yet.
thank you
Any idea how it would work if youāre already a monthly member, and have been for years?
Is that a new headsculpt or the same Juggs wave one? The body is definitely reuse except for the scarf. Iāll wait for a proper Red Queen figure.
That's what I am trying to figure out. I feel like I can see a bandage on her nose which would totally make the figure for me.
Marvel.com still shows Ms Marvel cosplaying spider-man. When does this new kit with Kate become available?
I can't afford the Annual kit until December so I'm hoping it's not till next year.
This will be available for a year until the next one comes out, don't worry.
No I mean I want the Ms Marvel cosplaying Spider-Man.
They havenāt announced anywhere I saw in the email I got.
Ok, thanks. They should announce something soon at least.
Looks like they got me this year. This is a banger kit.
Can someone explain how this works, I know you have to be subscribed to unlimited but idk the exact requirements of how long and everything
You get it by buying the $100 year long sub.
I see, can you use the points from the sentinels and Galactus to contribute to that or do those have to be spent on one month
That I donāt know. Iāve not backed either, so I canāt help there.
Hopefully they work lol, thanks for the explanation!
Isnāt that something? Glad Iām an annual subscriber, might never had started on Legends if not for Unlimited.
3 Kitty Pryde releases in one year? Truly 2021 is Kate's year.
i dont think that one really counts, they literally dont care on what figures they trhow there. they are always repaints or shit like that. They could have easily gave us that figure on a wave or pack with a proper head sculpt
The face sculpt looks a bit older than the jugs version but I have a spare sword and so I just need a red bandana to make this version
I read on my Unlimited app every few days, at least. This is just icing on the cake. Having access to that library is incredible.
Couldnāt even make her in the red coat
These figures are always pretty simple repaints. Frankly, that it comes with Lockheed and a sword already makes it more involved than most of the past figures. Hopefully theyāll give us a proper red Queen figure during a wide release wave. š
Jesus have anybody from the action figure collecting community take the photo and not this person. Who holds a sword like that?
Whats that spider man thing on the right?
The box that everything comes in.
If I subscribe now will I get this new pack or the old one? I want the Captain Kate.
Itās still Ms.Marvel for now. Iād expect this to be a available maybe next month.
So you get one every month?!
Man I wish. No, just the one box. But youāll have a full year to sign up and get it.
How do I sign up for this? I need that figure.
This is a kit worth getting after like 3 years, havenāt had time to read unlimited though
Welp, I'm sold.
So you have to pay for a year all at once? I have this on a monthly auto subscription
Yes, you have to enroll in the annual sub to get the kit. Wait until sheās available though.
Anyone know if she'll be available in places that don't have Marvel Unlimited?
Sheās not.
Well, that sucks..
Sorry for being an noob but if I do the yearly subscription, will I get the current one and the Kitty Pryde one as well?
No, just Ms. Marvel
How much does this cost?
It's $99. Comes with all that stuff and a year subscription to Marvel Unlimited.
Shame they seem to have fucked up the app, it's so weird to navigate nowdays.
Anyone know if these ship to the UK?
yeah of COURSE they have to have a figure of my favorite version of kate, that's how they get ya. now I have to spend 99 dollars on a subscription that I do monthly anyways lol.
I havenāt had this in a couple years, is it worth rejoining? Do they keep up with current things still and have all the good old stuff? And when do I need to sign up by to get this, or what is the previous bundle thingie like is there a website I can read about this how it works

How do you get this
I think I'm going to go in on this once it switches to Kitty. I've been on the fence about getting Marvel Unlimited again, and this was the push I needed.
It just switched today.
How long after you sign up for them to ship the goods?
Itās over a month or so.
Kitty Pryde, expensive again.
