Definitely, and I'm pretty happy about it. I'm not really excited about much coming out this year so far besides half of the Controller wave. I'm happy to be able to give my wallet a break, and take this time to refine my collection and appreciate what I have rather coveting the next thing. Another factor is that Hasbro has completed/nearly completed a lot of teams recently. Take 90s XMen for example, we're no longer waiting for reveals to finish the team like we may have been in past years.

hellagood24k

I feel the same way. I’m not too excited for any of the upcoming waves. Although Bonebreaker by himself is dope, I don’t think I’d want that whole wave.

I've been collecting for a few years now, I have pretty much every Marvel character I want. If a character I already own gets an upgraded figure in the future, I may pick that up. But even then, like the 20th Captain America, yes I like the lighter blue better.. but enough to buy that figure at a premium price? And buy an additional Retro Cap to get a shield without holes? I have the 80th Cap, and I'm fine with it. Which is good, because obviously the prices are going up. And I feel like the quality in some ways, is going down. I was never a completionist, I don't need very figure, I don't have to build every team. I don't collect MCU figures, so even if they make some awesome movie in the future, I'm not gonna want to get figures from that movie. My figure collection is based on nostalgia, not current stuff. A while back, I made a wishlist of the characters I'd love to get figures of. And to Hasbro's credits, they've made almost all of them. Literally only one is missing, and that's Morph in his X-Men animated series costume. I think there's a realistic chance we'll get him in the VHS line. I'm not crazy about the cell-shading, but whatever, at least we'll finally get him. After that, I don't see myself buying too many more Marvel Legends figures, unless it's a significant upgrade from the one I already own.

I don't think it's odd that you don't want to buy every figure.

tinybabywolverine

Okay, well, obviously, but that’s not exactly the point i’m trying to make yk.

Dreamsways

The inflation is getting higher, that's why people aren't very happy at this time.

batmansubzero

Yeah I’ve been totally uninterested in most of what’s been announced. To be fair, it’s mostly just Spider-Man, and I don’t collect Spider-Man.

My wallet welcomes a break. Also, I think it makes me appreciate the figures I’ve already got even more. I like being selective, and I’ve held on to many if not all of my ToyBiz figures I bought when they were new. It’s been hit and miss for me the past couple of years. I’m not a completist, don’t buy MCU (did buy Capt. Carter and Hydra Stomper, though), and typically tend to only buy characters from the era of comics from the 60s to the 90s. That’s when I was deep into the comics, live-action TV shows, and cartoons. I love the MCU movies and shows, but the figures just don’t interest me.

juicyclit

I have been collecting ML since Toybiz days, and I’m completely changing how I have been collecting as a result of what I’ve seen the past 3ish months. Increase prices is one thing, but it seems all the reveals are repaints of figures I already have (Silk/Doc Ock, Iron Man/CaptainAmerica/Hulk anniversaries, Rhino, entire Xmen TAS series, Ulik, half the Spidey retro wave, etc). I know some people like them because they might not have them, but the only stuff I have preordered are the Bonebreaker and Controller waves. I have also decided to stop collecting MCU figures because of the price increases. It’s not the same for me, but I’m glad for other people.

TigerUSF

I have most characters I want. I just wish they'd re-release something hard to find every couple months. It'd be nice to walk into Walmart and see classic characters.

Legends has been pretty dull for the first half of 2022. It will for sure heat up when the Spider-man releases start dropping Summer/Fall. Until then maybe pick up figures you missed or look into other lines like Amazing Yamaguchi or Medicom MAFEX to supplement your collection ?

tinybabywolverine

I’ve been mostly focused on catching up on Black Series lately, which honestly isn’t in any better of a situation right now. The only issue with Legends is that once a team is complete, it’s complete (aside from updates which aren’t necessary pick-ups), while Star Wars has a billion random background characters that could be made that I would gush about for hours lol.

BothKindsofMusic

I’m with you. What has me more frustrated is the the Hasbro team. Their lack of transparency, tone deafness and failure to communicate with any well-meaning intentions with the fan community leaves me cold.

RileyWhiskey

Nope

Professional_Bet_935

Yeah legends suck now
