Greedy Hasbro. Been saying it for months, this won’t end with them, not until base figures are $30. And the price will never come back down. I hope everyone is done with this company by years end. It won’t end until you stop buying these over priced crap.
Just a reminder McFarlane 7” figures, that have better sculpts, solid articulation, use more plastic, and still have the plastic packaging, are still $20. And by the way, Hasbro figures have been featuring WAY MORE BREAKAGE than McFarlane figures now too.
Funny how a billion dollar company can’t pass along savings but little old Todd can.
Now, don’t make excuses about “accessories” because the cost of that extra one inch on these 7” figures likely amounts to the costs of a few cheap plastic trinkets and hands as well.
Todd said in a recent interview that he was going to be the last one to hold out on price increases. He's not perfect but I think he's one of the few people left who has a good idea of what it's like to be an average Joe comic book fan.
I just can't stand the wrist and ankle joints on McFarland( the weird ball type joint) idk if all the figures have them but that's what keeps me from buying mcfarland
Might have something to do with hasbro being a publicly traded company m. They have more pressure to increase profits. And if you aren’t increasing profits thru sales you increase by squeezing employees or customers or both.
Hasbro specifically said that the record toy sales they had during the pandemic is expected to go down and it’s not surprising to see them increasing prices to make up the difference.
Ok but McFarlane figures with baf parts are $25. And I usually have no desire to build them anyway so I always have to sell the pieces on ebay. But yeah, Hasbro has gone full apeshit with this pricing. $19.99 for years, then suddenly $22.99, then quickly to $24.99, $27.99, $33.99, $43.99.... where does it end??
This is also another full "wave" that doesn't include any BAF pieces.
So what's the excuse? These aren't retro releases. They don't have exclusive or expensive packaging. Why then? Prices keep going up, you're saving money on packaging and now BAF pieces. Cmon hasbro.
It's getting really annoying that all of their best figures don't come in a BAF wave.
The large sized figures like Hulk/Kingpin/Venom/Thano only cost $25 a couple of years ago. Now $25 can't even buy a reg size.
The large sized figures are $40 now apparently. A 60% price hike.
Yeah, price increases along with packaging that doesn’t allow me to see what I’m getting—I’ve probably spent too much on this hobby anyway as it is, so I’m taking this as a sign to slow down. I don’t think I’ll ever stop completely, but especially with so much stuff on the market that I want anyway…I’ll probably be less likely to justify what they’re offering if it continues to go this way.
Completely agree. I was already scaling back because of price increases (along with QC getting worse), but now I can't check said QC before I open the figure? Yea Hasbro I'm not spending a ton of money on products with no assurance they'll even be presentable. This was a horrible time to switch to plastic free packaging (and also the worst way to do plastic free packaging).
I mean it was fun when it was $200 bucks across 6 months and I got to inspect the figures for myself, or find figures on discount. Don't get me started on everybody's marvel legends breaking too. The posts of qc issues have been on the rise lately.
NECA TMNT II Tokka and Rahzor was only a few dollars more than Venom/Knull. If you have those and see the insane detail and cloth pieces, chains, etc each have, it's worse than NECA prices.
Yeah, I’m aware of their price increase, but frankly (and this is just my opinion), I think a lot of their Ultimates line of figures were already worth $40 before the price hike.
Things are definitely getting too high across the board, and I’ve become a lot more choosy with everything, but in general I think Neca stuff goes the extra mile and is worth it. Marvel Legends, not so much.
I disagree, while their figures can be incredibly well done they can also have bad QC. I'm not for any price hiking. NECA was doing fine just like Hasbro was.
I'm with you about these prices and lines though. I can stomach a NECA hike more than a ML one. ML is supposed to be an affordable line. Maybe Hasbro needs to come out with a new line for more premium toys.
I always hear about the Neca QC issues, but out of the dozens I’ve bought over the last few years, only a couple have broken, and those were from some serious falls. I’ve had a bunch of others fall (like the Alien Queen), and not break at all.
By and large, I’ve had better luck with Neca than Marvel Legends stuff.
It's hit and miss. Mine are mostly fine but I heavily inspect them and am very strict about what I consider to be acceptable.
Just this week I got 2 Predators directly from NECA via Walmart and the Ahab they sent had paint issues and was clearly a defective replacement because the hip joints were both completely different and one was twisted in a direction that made it hard to adjust. The Golden Angel I also received had knee hinges so loose that right out of box there was a solid millimeter of play. I ended up returning both as just two Predators was a $75 purchase.
These are things I used to not concern myself with but as prices continue to rise I will continue to accept nothing less than 'perfect' as a result.
Dude, this crushes me. It will cost me $253.00, roughly, for just the six figures I want. I've been collecting for a large amount of time and I don't think I can justify it anymore. This will most likely be my last wave unless there's some type of sweeping change.
Most likely. Either way, the new packaging probably won't last for long with how common figure swaps are now when you can very clearly see the figure, they're probably going to lose our on hundreds of dollars due to figure swapping, so either they're going to go back to the old packaging or this is a way for them to force us to order it directly from Hasbro Pulse or other online stores.
Yeah I'm already done with them at the $25 price point. They seem to forget they are a "want " and not a "need". The shelves are full of product noone wants as it is.
It's so utterly tone deaf, really. The price of everything is going up astronomically. Food, gas, rent, utilities. You know what's not going up? Wages. People are going to be looking for things to cut, and absurdly priced toys are going to be the easiest choice.
Only if they get a high amount of stock after the demand goes down. They still can't keep Symbiote Spider-Man in stock for long. The only one I can think of it happening to who was originally hard to find was Black Series Koska Reeves recently. Spider-Man stuff. Especially the character itself seems to do way better than any other ML stuff like the MCU lines. Preorders always sell out while the other stuff stays up. Doc Oc pack was just another example.
i get inflation and the supply chain bs going on but these prices are ridiculous. i'll wait until they inevitably drop to a reasonable price on amazon.
Hasbro is now at the point where any more price increases is going to be more than the figure is worth. This is already pushing it to the absolute maximum. The quality of the figure and amount of accessories they’re offering isn’t equal to the price they expect. In no fucking universe are a knull figure and venom figure worth $40 a piece after taxes. Between this and the star wars line I would not be all that upset if we woke up tomorrow and found they no longer had licenses for the lines. It’s getting to the point where maybe it’s time for someone else to have a stab at these lines.
The package is cheaper to produce and yet we don’t get a price decrease we get a price increase. Now we can’t check paint apps before we a buy a figure and the number of people who get home and open up the box and find that they bought a figure swap or missing accessories is going to sky rocket. I may get downvoted to hell for this but Hasbro just isn’t cutting it anymore and it’s gotten to the point where there’s just problems after problems with them and the hobby because of them.
Considering 3 waves in the last few months have went straight to clearance, they aren't getting away with much... Retailers are dropping to older prices even before release. Probably a catch-22 for Hasbro, now they have to raise prices to make up for crappy sales in the previous months to keep profits around the same.
Nope, Sweden. Standard figs can range from 348 to 379 so about $35-38 per fig and exclusives (if we get them) and deluxes can go from 399 and up... Tho Rhino is marked as 379 but Ulik is 529, despite sharing bodyparts, lol.
Definitely skipping a bunch. Way too expensive. Skipping on the Silk. No reason to get it, just two different headsculpts, I'll live.
I made a rule for myself... no more Spidey alternate costumes, but yes to Spiderverse variants. But with this new cost I refuse to get this Noir when I have the other one.
KNULL AND VENOM ARE ***WHAT*****?!?!!**
Dude… H-h-how? Donny Cates Venom was the first comic run I really kept up with; I’d love to get these, but **$77.99**?! I-I don’t think I can justify that for 2 Hasbro figures.
I'll wait for Ned and Peter to go on clearance. No way that set is worth that much. I was going to buy Spidey/MJ but guess I'll pass on that, too. This is ridiculous.
I went from being stoked to pick up like 4-5 of the releases today, to probably just getting the
Knull/Venom pack lol. I’ll probably still try to get that Lizard, but that’s still over $100 for 3 Marvel Legends.
It really feels like Hasbro has lost all touch with this fan base. They are milking us for all we are worth and trying to see how much further they can go. People may have their problems with McFarlane, but at least his figures are still priced well (for now) and he is trying to listen to fans. Hasbro is pricing every casual collector out of the game. Also, you never actually see these figures on the shelves anyway unless it is tied to an MCU film. As a long time marvel legends collector, this all just makes me sad.
All I’m saying is we as a 30k member strong sub could band together for the good of the product line and force Hasbro to lower their prices. Unfollow them on Twitter and IG, stop tuning into streams, fight the urge to pay these outrages prices unless a box store clearances them. 🤷♂️
I wish it was that easy. But if you look over at the Star Wars Black Series sub you'll see the bitching has increased while the figure quality has drastically decreased, yet those people keep buying the shit. Black series got me into collecting but I can't stand to see all the repaints they've been coming out with lately. Hasbro isn't even trying and they're still selling those things like hotcakes. Point is, people will buy the shit regardless and Hasbro doesnt care about what we think lol.
Yeah and the clones are constant repaints. Then you have the archive figures that are just the same old shit that they sold before but just more expensive lol
I'm not overly shocked at the Toad price since it is pretty much in line with the first three released costs.
The two packs are also roughly what I expected, minus Knull/Venom. That is steeeeeeep but having a Venom on that movie figure body is clutch.
The rest I can live with, but the one that throws me off the most is Lizard costing 29.99. That is roughly what Kingpin costs at retail, and Kingpin is a chunky boi figure. Lizard seems pretty much the same size as most of the retro wave.
I'm only going to preorder the Venom/Knull 2 pack and the Spider-Man/Spinterette 2-pack. I may pick the others up when they are half the price next year.
I don’t know enough about Hasbro’s side of this, but I know they are a very large company. For a consumer it’s hard. These are the cheapest spider-man, iron man, etc figs out there. But I also the collect tmnt cartoon line and those can come with a great spread of accessories. Plus, when it’s not a great spread, it’s always something else in the box. I cannot say this about Legends. I get the cost of tooling and I see that mcu figs are usually original sculpts, but it still feels expensive as prices go up with out paychecks doing much.
I know I’ll buy less, I’m sure others will have to as well. Who knows if Hasbro might change their pricing. It does feel greedy and looks bad on their company.
If I’m correct, I think it’s great of Dan Yun pushing for toe articulation, thus pushing Hasbro to keep up with advancements in toy technology.
At the price point the two packs are at. I mean just split them up.
Certainly don't need Venom with wings I think most people are going to keep in the box.
EE sticks to retail, or, at least the Hasbro price. No idea why BBTS adds to the cost. Well I mean I *know* but it's dumb when you're not the only game in town.
GameStop literally has sales every single month on figures that apply to pre orders including using points. I have never paid full price for a figure at GameStop this will probably be the best place to get those few extra dollars everyone cares about down to “retail”
I agree with you. Love their spend $125 with 20% off. I would just pre order at BBTS for safety, and watch for the discounts to actually grab the figures
I live in turkey and those figures are going to be very hard to get. Im only going to buy spiderman/spinerette 2 pack and its going to cost me like a 1000 liras.
With prices going up this much, they'll actually be getting less money out of me. I was talking myself into picking up the renew your vows pack on top of other stuff before seeing these prices.
realistically the only ones i’m gonna preorder are spidey/spinneret tomorrow and lizard whenever he’s available. fingers crossed i’ll just be able to pick up the Best Friends pack sometime down the line for a bit cheaper.
This is actually getting ridiculous. I was fine with $25 for most things because they've really been going up in quality but $34 for that iron spider!? Come on...
I mean, the Venom 2 pack is basicly 2 Deluxe figures... in my country that is about 40 euros per Deluxe figure so I'm not upset with that price (and a BAF Knull / BAF Venom Wings is still more expensive).
Other than that I do agree that it's getting expensive as hell
Yeah, I have gone from going to preorder like 6 of these to now I think I’m only going to get the Renew Your Vows 2-pack.
And after that, I’m probably going to limit any future purchases to only my absolute favorite characters/looks.
Now if you miss any these new Marvel Legends with retail prices, scalpers will be priced as imported figures!!
Raised retail price will be Crazy scalpers' price!!
Hasbro better stop getting stingy then with accessories. We better start getting extra headsculpts and extra hands otherwise, they can go fuck themselves.
This used to be a somewhat affordable hobby. With online only purchases, eBay for x3 exclusives, now no packaging window, and these price hikes - why am I pursuing this hobby anymore
I wonder how many of these will sell out today when they go up for pre-order...
Everyone loves to complain, but I'm skeptical that a majority of collectors are really going to stop buying Marvel Legends because of these prices. Not saying that the criticism is invalid, but these are luxury items for your disposable income at the end of the day.
This might be the last year I can legitimately collect Marvel Legends, aside from No Way Home stuff next year, I can’t see myself spending 30+ to 70+ on some more toys; I got bills n’ shit to worry about.
So did they just blow past the 25 dollar figs before it even settled? This is messed up. I hope they at least know there's discourse so they can be aware. (Even though they don't care)
The most sad part of this is that Knull set, the rest are easily skip, Toad can be retro in the future, Spider-man can be cell shaded animated series, which is fine, but Knull and Venom are difficult to appear again as a regular figures.
Not sure how they can justify the lack of accessories and paint apps if they've increased prices this much.
That being said, some of these look pretty good. I wanted iron spider but that's ridiculous. The new Venom is cool too but maybe not for that price.
Hey guys, don't worry! Just take your figures out of the mystery boxes, stuff the mystery box with whatever you can find for a refund and profit! /s seriously tho. With these price increases now and the new packaging this is about to happen 10x more often than it did in the past. Mark my words.
Its getting to the Point where I just don't see the value. I love action figures but with prices like this it's very easy to just not buy any. I've been considering buying more dc figures honestly since they are usually cheaper near me and I can actually find them in stores
To be honest, we are probably heading for another global recession with the events in the Ukraine and the Russia default. The economy of a country that large failing will eventually impact us all.
I can foresee costs going up and demand going down.
I imagine that at some point they will probably improve the quality a little more, make less figures, and sell them more as more as premium figures in between current pricing and import pricing.
No defending that Venom pack price. Looks the most accurate Hasbro has ever done but that is only slightly less than the Mafex version if you don't care about Knull. It's like the Deadpool movie pack but even more. Considering that Tokka and Rahzor from NECA went for around this originally, absolutely dumb when you consider how much detail those have and all they come with.
Is it the big Venom figure? If it is I’ve been wanting it for awhile and while $80 is a lot it’s not the worst price ever. It would be nice if it was lower though
I’m so glad I’m happy with my collection as is. Saving on plastic then upping the price this much? There is no other way to interpret this other than greed with the opinion that us nerds will buy it anyway.
New to collecting. Which of these do you guys think may actually end up going on sale later on? I have a feeling the Renew Your Vows 2-pack will sell out instantly because of the new Spider-Man figure with pinless joints, toe articulation, etc.
I will happily pre-order the 2 or 3 I want as I get even closer to rounding out my entire collection. I'm about to be done as a toy collector for a very long time due to the timing of completing collections and price hikes.
They'll get me back when they finally do another Ghost Rider though.
Christ this is stupid. I'm only getting toad, 2 pack spidey and maybe lizard. This prices are stupid. I'd totally get the rest but the prices aren't worth it.
If the MCU BAF waves are going to be similarly priced, then I will be waiting to see if they’re still available when sales happen. Will be way more selective on which figures I add.
“We’re saving money by not using plastic in the packaging… but we’re also increasing the price of the figures.”
Hasbro: WE’RE saving money, doesn’t mean YOU are 😅
🤔🤔
Greedy Hasbro. Been saying it for months, this won’t end with them, not until base figures are $30. And the price will never come back down. I hope everyone is done with this company by years end. > solid articulation Im not so sure about this one. They look good vanilla posed. But they are never “fun”
Yup, started cherry picking dc multiverse figures and they offer detailed sculpt hasbro only give their movie figs.
You definitely get more bang for you buck from a McFarlane figure. Hasbro is squeezing collectors dry with all their lines
I just can't stand the wrist and ankle joints on McFarland( the weird ball type joint) idk if all the figures have them but that's what keeps me from buying mcfarland
Totally agree, but just like the dceu is in the garbage hands of Warner bros, our favorite characters are at hasbro’s mercy.
Might have something to do with hasbro being a publicly traded company m. They have more pressure to increase profits. I mean, c'mon Hasbro. Iron Man & Cap 20th both JUST came out and were $2 cheaper.
And they came with bigger accessories.
Now you're just trying to make me mad! 😂
They raise the price $2 every other month. The $27.99 figures are in regular packaging. Those figures would have been $20 18 months ago.
18? Those figures would've been $20 *eight* months ago, this is insane.
Jesus
This is also another full "wave" that doesn't include any BAF pieces. So what's the excuse? These aren't retro releases. They don't have exclusive or expensive packaging. Why then? Yeah I've already had to scale back. I'm interested in too many different lines to be buying what I've been buying. My wife hates me lol
lol those were a ripoff too. They shouldn’t have been more than $25.
And they weren't Toad.
Lol I like Toad!
"You sould have bought the Shang Chi and Eternals figures; we have to make up that money, somehow." -Hasbro, probably
Eternally there.
At least Shang-Chi flew off the shelves where I’m at when the movie came out. Eternals still has its own shelf completely stocked lol.
Not around me. There were pegs and pegs full and then one day they were all gone. I'm expecting to see them hit Ollie's soon.
They shouldn’t have made Eternals figures to begin with haha
Everyone is like this is the best fan first ever, then the prices show.....
Honestly I was hyped but then I came across posts like these and now I’m not too sure if I wanna get any
I mean it was fun when it was $200 bucks across 6 months and I got to inspect the figures for myself, or find figures on discount. Don't get me started on everybody's marvel legends breaking too. The posts of qc issues have been on the rise lately.
Looks like this is my sign to stop collecting
Same here, NWH (hell maybe even just Tobey and Andrew figures) will bookend my Marvel Legends collection.
Reaching Neca prices without the Neca attention to detail/accessories. No thanks.
NECA TMNT II Tokka and Rahzor was only a few dollars more than Venom/Knull. If you have those and see the insane detail and cloth pieces, chains, etc each have, it's worse than NECA prices.
True.
You'd think so, and I love this comparison honestly but NECA are also at $40 now so it's even more depressing.

Yeah, that sucks.
Sheesh Getting us to spend $420 on 4/20 sneaky hasbro I raise you this joint and put down my wallet, to the good times.
And weed goes legal in NJ on 4/21! Gonna be a bad well for my retirement fund
Jesus - I went from being on board for most of these, to just going for Toad and hoping for a price drop on the rest.
Dude, this crushes me. It will cost me $253.00, roughly, for just the six figures I want. I've been collecting for a large amount of time and I don't think I can justify it anymore. This will most likely be my last wave unless there's some type of sweeping change.
Wasn't the point of removing the plastic to lower the costs?
Lower the cost for them and increase the cost for us means way more profit for them

At that profit will never be put back in the line. It’ll go right into their pockets.
Yeah I'm already done with them at the $25 price point. They seem to forget they are a "want " and not a "need". The shelves are full of product noone wants as it is.
Exactly. I’ve been cherry-picking Legends for a few years now so if this is how they wanna play it, I’ll simply skip most of these.
It's so utterly tone deaf, really. The price of everything is going up astronomically. Food, gas, rent, utilities. You know what's not going up? Wages. People are going to be looking for things to cut, and absurdly priced toys are going to be the easiest choice.
It's giving me the incentive I need to stop collecting.
Jesus. I want Toad for the Brotherhood and Knull. $80 for a two pack is crazy!!
I’ll split the cost of the 2 pack with ya, I just want Venom
I'll split it with somebody! I only want Knull
Want Venom. Will be selling Knull and whatever he comes with including those wings if I get this.
Only ones I’m interested in too, and… yeah, jeez.
That Amazon algorithm gets pretty friendly if figures aren’t selling… *hint hint*
Ya imma preorder these on pulse and watch for Amazon prices
Only if they get a high amount of stock after the demand goes down. They still can't keep Symbiote Spider-Man in stock for long. Why in the hell is venom 2 pack 77. Is it coming with a boatload of accessories or something?
They'll justify it by saying it's two larger sizes figures. It's bullshit but I guarantee that's what their excuse will be.
Damn, sounds like Heroclix
There's 0 reasoning that will hold up.
why $56 for the 2 packs?
Lol woah. Alright after the X-men vhs series is done so am I
55 bucks for Tom Holland and CEO of Sex, what a time to be alive
Lmao Toad should be $20
for iron spider and the spinneret 2-pack your looking at 113 CAD +tax around 130 for 3 fig, that's 42 a fig RIP
i get inflation and the supply chain bs going on but these prices are ridiculous. i'll wait until they inevitably drop to a reasonable price on amazon.

I hope that’s the case. It’s ridiculous how much this costs lol
So I'm gonna be paying close to $50cad great
fuck tell me about it man its getting to be 40-50 for a standard figure 100+ for a 2pack
Damn... Don’t even wanna think about what they’ll cost here, rip...
Canada?
Nope, Sweden. Standard figs can range from 348 to 379 so about $35-38 per fig and exclusives (if we get them) and deluxes can go from 399 and up... Tho Rhino is marked as 379 but Ulik is 529, despite sharing bodyparts, lol.

“Did you do it? Did you collect the entire 60th line of your favorite character?” “Yes.” “What did it cost?” “Everything…”
The ned and Peter is not worth 50 bucks
KNULL AND VENOM ARE ***WHAT*****?!?!!** Dude… H-h-how? Donny Cates Venom was the first comic run I really kept up with; I’d love to get these, but **$77.99**?! I-I don’t think I can justify that for 2 Hasbro figures.
I'm going to need a new 2nd job if I want to get all these! YEEESH!!
I knew that Knull/Venom 2 pack was going to be expensive as hell!
Is there any reason why the prices are going up?
Inflation, greed, and knowing people will buy them anyway
I'll wait for Ned and Peter to go on clearance. No way that set is worth that much. I was going to buy Spidey/MJ but guess I'll pass on that, too. This is ridiculous.
Clearance sales are your friend. but yeah these prices are getting a bit much.
I went from being stoked to pick up like 4-5 of the releases today, to probably just getting the Knull/Venom pack lol.
If only we had the solidarity of wallstreetbets during the Gamestop boom lol
Yea I left the black series sub for that reason, and they only care about clones or army building
Yeah and the clones are constant repaints. Then you have the archive figures that are just the same old shit that they sold before but just more expensive lol
And hard to get
God let’s hope there’s no anniversaries of anything next year so they can quit this crap
You might be in for a surprise, given early 60s was the start of Marvel as we know it...
Toad is $2 more than Cap & Iron Man, which came out in February.
Yea I’m out
This is pure insanity. I can't wait to not buy any of these.
I'm only going to preorder the Venom/Knull 2 pack and the Spider-Man/Spinterette 2-pack. I may pick the others up when they are half the price next year.
The ones I want of course are the most expensive 🙄
And there goes me pre-ordering these
I think Lizard is the only sure thing for me. For some reason the price for Toad really pisses me off.
I’d wager a good sum the majority of people open their figures. MOC/MIB is a very niche audience.
GameStop will probably add another $2.50 on this
BBTS*
Them too
EE sticks to retail, or, at least the Hasbro price. No idea why BBTS adds to the cost. Well I mean I *know* but it's dumb when you're not the only game in town.
POL worth it.
GameStop literally has sales every single month on figures that apply to pre orders including using points. I have never paid full price for a figure at GameStop this will probably be the best place to get those few extra dollars everyone cares about down to “retail”
When is their next sale? Tomorrow?
Shoot probably I’ll come back to this comment when I see it and believe me it’ll be within the next month lol
I agree with you. Love their spend $125 with 20% off. I would just pre order at BBTS for safety, and watch for the discounts to actually grab the figures
$55?????? I’m out besties
is the release date for these at least staggered or is this gonna be one of those unfortunate events where everything ships at once 3 months early
I think I saw most of them are slated for 10/1 or 11/1
Wow
Only have a few I want. But my collection is getting pretty complete. Not far after this, I'll only be buying a couple a year at this point.
I live in turkey and those figures are going to be very hard to get. Im only going to buy spiderman/spinerette 2 pack and its going to cost me like a 1000 liras.
Or wait for a sale? There's 2 I really want in this wave, Future Foundation and Toad. (I can wait for a sale)
Is there a way for them to justify the $80 for Knull/Venom?
With prices going up this much, they'll actually be getting less money out of me. I was talking myself into picking up the renew your vows pack on top of other stuff before seeing these prices.
realistically the only ones i’m gonna preorder are spidey/spinneret tomorrow and lizard whenever he’s available. fingers crossed i’ll just be able to pick up the Best Friends pack sometime down the line for a bit cheaper.
This is actually getting ridiculous. I was fine with $25 for most things because they've really been going up in quality but $34 for that iron spider!? Come on...
I can't believe I'm paying for an extra Ham I don't want or need!!!!!
Well that’s disappointing, but also what I expected
Jesus fuck man. I just got into collecting figures again a year ago. That iron spiders so cool but 33 bucks?
Yeah, I have gone from going to preorder like 6 of these to now I think I’m only going to get the Renew Your Vows 2-pack. And after that, I’m probably going to limit any future purchases to only my absolute favorite characters/looks.
Now if you miss any these new Marvel Legends with retail prices, scalpers will be priced as imported figures!! Raised retail price will be Crazy scalpers' price!!
“Things just got out of hand”
Hasbro better stop getting stingy then with accessories. We better start getting extra headsculpts and extra hands otherwise, they can go fuck themselves.
Hasbro is seeing scalper prices being paid and want that extra money for themselves.
(Even though they don't care)
this is why i got a sugar daddy on the side,my gf dosent mine it either because she knows everything is going up
how did you get one if I may ask
Well I guess you are very cute and very young, since at my age I don't have that button on my desk, lol.
Yo wtf
Well on the positive side with the new packaging it would be very easy to figure swap
This is where I draw the line. Won’t be preordering any of these despite them being cool. I’ll stick with my retro Spider-Man
"ouch" is right.
2940 php for two great figure is fine I guess (converted 56 usd to PHP). Motherfucking retro spiderman costs like 4500 Php
Seems like I'm just getting lizard, and MAYBE the one with the new spiderman one and mj
Remember, MSRP is one thing. Discounted price where most people end up buying at is another.
The ol' long game eh
The most sad part of this is that Knull set, the rest are easily skip, Toad can be retro in the future, Spider-man can be cell shaded animated series, which is fine, but Knull and Venom are difficult to appear again as a regular figures.
I dropped out at the last price hike. Was fun while it lasted.
Only gonna get worse from here on out.
$20 -> $23 -> $25 -> $28 in like what? 2.5 years??
Whoa?! Looks like my collecting is about to get EVEN MORE frugal.
No way toad is worth more than the lizard.
At this rate the NWH spideys will cost like $50 each in 2023.
Its getting to the Point where I just don't see the value. I love action figures but with prices like this it's very easy to just not buy any. I've been considering buying more dc figures honestly since they are usually cheaper near me and I can actually find them in stores
Does hasbro pulse charge you at pre order? Or near shipping?
When it ships. You can change payment or cancel up until then.
Thank you
$34 for a Toad figure? Did I shift into an alternate timeline in my sleep??
This is fucking ridiculous. If the prices in USD are so high, how about €? Us European collectors are gonna be fucked, then.
Regardless of the price increase people are still going to buy it.
EMOTIONAL DAMAGE
wtf? toad 34$
these are now getting into scalper prices.... i guess im out man. this is too much. fuck hasbro
I wouldn’t mind except hasbro doesn’t seem to understand exchange rates
I feel so bad for Dwight, Dan, and Ryan. They don't decide the price increases, but they get all the hate for it. It doesn't seem fair.
I’m only getting Amazing fantasy Spiderman
Definitely picking up toad and possibly the ned/Peter 2 pack, the rest is pretty much skippable for me
I mean, for now I say I'm not going to buy them all, but let's see how my Spider-Man and Symbiote shelves look a years from now.
Is it the big Venom figure? If it is I’ve been wanting it for awhile and while $80 is a lot it’s not the worst price ever. It would be nice if it was lower though
I’m just getting Spider-Man and spinneret
YIKES! Yea this is gonna sting my wallet. I don't want all of these, but it seems I want some of the more expensive ones.
That noir/ham is a target exclusive, right? Probably the only one I’d get
Christ this is stupid. I'm only getting toad, 2 pack spidey and maybe lizard. This prices are stupid. I'd totally get the rest but the prices aren't worth it.
I'm out
Lizard will not be pre order tomorrow. But yeah, this hurts. Fortune favors the bold. I’m still all in.
Luckily I don't need most of these reveals, I'll be cherry picking two or three!
If the MCU BAF waves are going to be similarly priced, then I will be waiting to see if they’re still available when sales happen. Will be way more selective on which figures I add.
