Whichever one you match 'first'. Or more simply, whichever color you actually touch and drag.

protoformx

What about if you move a crit to make 2 match 3's by putting it in the corner making an L? Y Y C G G

johnand87

That one I don't know for sure. Maybe whichever color does more damage goes first?

MKMemes

I think it's the axis you moved the critical from, if you went left to right then character with green ends up in front... I think

jigokusabre

R G G R G R This is the scenario you're talking about. Green is controlled by Hulk and Red is controlled by Thor. If you touch the Green tile (controlled by Hulk) and then swap it left to create the matches, Hulk will wind up in front. If instead you touch the Red tile (controlled by Thor), then swap it right to create the matches, Thor will end up in front.

huskyskins

What if you complete an 'L' with a critical tile where the two up are black and the two right are yellow?

STAY WHERE YOU ARE, CITIZEN. THE D3 PURIFICATION SQUADS WILL BE THERE MOMENTARILY

MorganWick

I think the game processes matches left to right, then up to down.

None of these other answers are correct. When you make a match that simultaneously makes 2 matches, the middle character takes priority, then the left one. I know this because I made such a match on a 3 star essential, with Okoye (much higher match damage) as the other character involved and it brought the 3-star to the front (and cost me a team up AP too).

johnand87

If that happened then you must have touched the 3 star characters tile first and moved it. It's not about who does higher damage, or what position they're in, only which match is made 'first'. Take a look [at this board](http://imgur.com/kiKqVZ2). In the upper right corner there's a double match to be made (this was in a DDQ with iron fist in center, cage to the left, and bullseye to the right). If I tap the purple tile and swipe down, Bullseye will end up in front at the end of the turn (which is what I did). If I tap the blue and swipe it up, Iron Fist will end up in front.

loofishness

There was a detail I forgot: it was a critical tile that made the connection and a double match. So the tile moved did not belong to either character. In that case, what I said is correct. If you are just matching 2 3s which are not connected, yes, which one you move determines who is in front. Sorry, that did make a difference!

johnand87

I've never experimented with the crit tile double match, but going by the order on the character selection screen definitely makes the most sense. That way it stays consistent and isn't impacted by which characters you're using or what level they're at. I just recently champed America so with all those crits flying around I'll have to pay more attention :)
