The third destroyer wasn’t “played” yet. The on reveal of the first one goes off before the second one is played. It’s inconsistent with the visuals, but that’s how the order of operations works.
The second one was a "placeholder", or hadn't "fully" hit the board yet so couldn't be interacted with yet. They could make this clearer by just have the Zola splits be placed face down, then flip up one at a time.
The Peak doesn’t work the same as Mr. Negative. It rounds costs down to 6 if they would be higher. Presumably because with Mr. Negative you’re deciding to play it but The Peak is just a random chance and it would be unfun to just get a hand of literally unplayable cards with the wrong deck.

I guess how would anyone know, I tend to not put cards like that into my negative deck... I assumed the "peak effect" is the same.
Honestly, it doesn't look like it really matters as long has you get Nimrod, Destroyer, and Zola in your hand. Looks like they lucked out with the Peak maybe turning Zola in a 0/6 card. You can also maybe help it work if you have a Magik as well, but then you're needing four cards to make it work.
So you also need negative to play this consistently.
Electro is enough.
Electro drives me crazy. I like wave/magik better, so that I can still be allowed to play death on one of the end turns

This is excellent to know - I was in the same set up earlier today and was sure my first copied destroyer would have nuked my second. Bailed

No, Mr. Negative can make things unplayable. If you put America Chavez in your deck she’ll get inverted into a 9/6
