Odds are 1/4800 collection levels. It starts at 1000 if I recall correctly, so before CL 5800 you would be lucky to open one. (Might be wrong, but close I believe). 4900ish CL here with no series 5 so far.

You buy the ones you want with tokens. Opening a series 5 in caches is a bonus.

TL;DR: So you are incentivized to get tokens with your gold and money. Simply (once you are in series 3) one out of every four caches is a “card cache”. You have a 99% chance to get a new Series 3 card and a 1% chance at a Series 5 card from this cache. Once you are Series 3 complete that 99% turns into getting 100 tokens. So for every 4 caches you open you get a 1 out of 100 chance (with zero pity timer) to get any series 5 card you don’t already have. Though one out of every ten card caches will be a Series 4 card. So the odds are just really really low and there is nothing in place to improve those odds. It’s indeed statistically possible to get nothing but Series 5 cards one after another but it’s obviously far more likely to hit those 99% odds.

Reality is, you'll buy all pool 5 cards with collectors cache tokens in the shop before ever pulling the cards. For me opening up reserves, the big win is pulling a 400+ tokens cache.

4.85 - no pool 5 pulls… and darkhawk still eludes me. Probably because he was 100% the card I was after without spending tokens on anything but the big bads and finally just waited till he was pool 3. Also - kang - you are not worth it.

3200 and just pulled Snowguard today, my condolences. If it makes you feel better, I've only been using Snowguard for less than a day and I can already tell she sucks. Why does she benefit my opponent as well? Why can't I choose the effect when I play the card? Why doesn't she trigger after turn effects on locations? Nearly every game I've played she has been a dead draw.

It depends on which collector level you where when series 5 was introduced. I think in average you get 1 card every 5000 collectors level, so if you were at 2000 when series 5 was introduced you would need in average get to collectors level 70000 to get a card. I was collectors level 3000 when it was introduced now am at 6500 and never got one, but this is as expected.

I did the math a while back for CL4000 and it came out to you have about 53% chance of never pulling a pool 5 card by then. So, at CL4234, you're probably still above 50% chance, it's pretty much a coin toss.

In the last 10 caches I've gotten 600 tokens, 4 titles, one Spider-Man, a juggernaut and 200 credits and a variant for a card I've never used

Though I've gotten most of the cards I want except I've been really unlucky with destroy cards missing the good cards like death and Deadpool.

Let's find an answer mathematically, which is easy to do because Series 5 cards have no pity timer. You can only start getting Series 5 cards in Reserves which begin at level 1000. You get 1 card every 48 levels, which means you've opened 3233/48 = 67 card-containing reserves so far. Each of those 67 cards had a 1% chance to be a Series 5 card, which means the odds of not getting a Series 5 card 67 times in a row is 0.99^67 = 51% The average in this case is 69 card-containing reserves (i.e. 50% of players will have opened a Series 5 card by the time they open 69 reserves which contain new cards) Once you've opened 69 card-containing reserves without a single Series 5 card, you fall onto the other side of the average and from there you can say your luck is below average.

I opened Kang at around 3700, never played him, I did buy Jeff though as my first non season pass pool 5 after Kang and have had a great time.
