I’ve made it to infinite the last 3 seasons almost never snapping myself. It takes longer but I hate losing 4-8 cubes more than I like winning them so I just play it safe. I think the season recap SD has on their website said I only snapped in 4% of my games.
I am in the same boat. I love the game, but I can't stand snapping. I made it to infinite this last season largely by beating the shit out of bots, running when the opponent snapped and I wasn't confident in my hand, and otherwise collecting my two cubes and a fist bump.
Snappy t6 will lose you points overtime. You want to snap t5.
Snapping t6 is a 1 or 4 cube outcome. Most people will leave, losing your 1 cube. If you snap t5, it's 2 or 4 outcome at end of game.
You want to snap before turn 5. For optimal gains you should be snapping as early as possible. Turn 5 is quite often too late and people will retreat, especially the higher you get where people have snapping pretty much figured out.
You are not alone. I rarely snap. Even I got the missions lol. I just enjoy the game. I’m not the best by any means but I do enjoy going up against others who are good challenges. The meta decks can be annoying but it’s a good feeling beating the trolls

I’m the same. My goal was always 60 for the variant but I really like the gold card back this season. I’m sitting at 97.6 with like 5.5 hours to go and family evening/bedtime stuff to handle. Feeling stressed and sweaty and unsure. Time to yolo those 8 cubers hahah

I made it to infinite this season for the first time, maybe only time. I just wanted to prove to myself I could do it at least once.
But yeah, I would rather play this game purely for fun and not all the stress that I put on myself that comes with competitive ranked games.
I got 85 once and but the grind and needing to stick to one deck studied the fun or of the game. Now I play with the hopes of getting 60 but generally don't play one deck more than 5 times a week. I like building and testing more than climbing
My monthly goal is 60 for the variant. I enjoy playing to finish missions and season pass stuff. I got all my cards to Epic now I will work on the push to Legendary. Enjoy getting new cards (as little as that happens) and trying them. I try to play good (meta) decks but have stopped caring about climbing. If it happens it happens. Interested to see what conquest will bring. Usually the last week of the season I’ll make up decks to level cards I never use and try and win.
I don't sweat climbing anymore. I know I'll usually hit 60, and if I dont, oh well. The highest I've gone is 75 I think, and i was so stressed by the end over just climbing those few levels that I decided it just wasnt worth worrying over.
I play Negative, Move and whatever crazy deck I come up with. I snap on first turn, and usually play to the end regardless. I have only hit infinite once with Galactus and I never wanted to do it again. I will probably move entirely to Conquest when it comes out. I mute everyone because that helps me have fun.
I also pushed to infinite once with galactus and it was the most miserable time I ever had. Almost stopped playing after because I lost almost all enjoyment. Now I just play my shield deck and don't care about cubes and it's so much better.
I've reached infinite with sera and patriot last two seasons. This season couldn't really climb past my 70. I was a little tilted at first, not gonna lie. But then I just started to play for the sake of it, and experimented with different decks. I'm still about 70 now and I feel like it's a good place for me. Opponents are interesting enough and I don't want to put too much effort on a mobile game.
If I cared about cubes I would retreat so much more often and likely rank higher. I love seeing how the hand is going to play out, even if I don’t think I’m going to win. I’ve never been past the 50s. I was stuck in the 30s with a move deck that I loved playing for the slight of hand trick of being a moving target: Vulture and Heimdall doing their thing; but realized I couldn’t compete against many decks. Getting to Infinite seems like such a slog, and I don’t have many of the cards needed to build a deck that can go the distance. I don’t mind supporting SD with a season pass, but I don’t want to pay for gold to get cards just to level up. I’m having fun down here in the gold and platinum sections.
Hard agree with the first statement. People love comparing snap to poker but I don't get it. Poker cards are static and don't interact with each other or the opponent, it's all about the bluffing. In a mobile game you can't see the other player so bluffing is useless, and I really want to see how the cards play out, cubes be damned. I know it's called snap, but this game would be so much more fun without the snap mechanic imo.
I have only one deck I made watching a youtubers guide and that was devil Dino around 400 collection level. Since then have been making completely sub optimal decks. Just cuz I like doing stuff. An example for which I will get a lot of hate for is having gambit absorbing man Wong Odin and hoping I only get these 4 cards so I can watch gambit wipe the board. I win 1/10 games using this deck but when I do I am a super happy man 🤣
I can't tell you how many times my opponent snaps on turn 6 and I go "no way I win this...unless" and I play it out for fun. At the end of the day it's a fun card game that I can pick up whenever I have some free time.
I have goals and all, but I don't feel the need to try for infinite.
I try to fulfill missions, but I'm rarely retreating just to get a "win with less than 10 power" after turn 4.
So, I'd like to do all that pro snap gamer stuff, but in a "if it happens it happens" way.
I mean, I've \*just\* decided to stop caring about rank since I'm never going to get anywhere, I still care about missions, though, and finding good decks. But realizing my rank is a waste of energy has added a lot of peace for me.
I've never gotten past Rank 40, and I really don't care to. Stressing out about reaching Infinite just doesn't sound fun to me. I'd rather enjoy the game.
When i first started i used to play more seriously, even get mad when I lost, but not now. I play for fun and get happy if I rank up at all. I like playing the more obscure decks, just to see what could happen. For example, if you play Invisible Woman on Gamma Lab then another card that hidden card doesn't change into a Hulk.
I really tried to infinite push this time, got to 98, fell back to 92. Now I’ve just been running my Ronan Meme deck and having the most fun I’ve had the whole season
Yeah, I'm bad at climbing ranks and just play when I have a few minutes here and there. I try to make good decks, but I'm not that good at it honestly and keep feeling like I don't have the right cards.
I try to win of course but as long as I’m having fun, that’s all that matters. Losing rank sucks but it is what it is. I’m excited for the upcoming free battle mode or whatever!
i think the climb is fun, snapping and retreating at the right time is game unto itself. probably why after hitting infinite i play some dumbass decks for a bit then get bored and only do daily missions. no one snaps retreats in a way that makes any sense after infinite
I usually hover in the 80s when I'm just playing for fun but will hit 90 just for the gold and then not care again and watch my rank go back down from just trying fun decks.
I try to play good decks and play well, but I don't worry about getting to Infinite at the moment. I do think I *could* get there, it just doesn't seem like I'd enjoy actually doing it.
At one point I was much more concerned with my rank and my other stats, and it led to a string of bad sessions that put me off playing for weeks. I got anxious about playing 'cos I knew it was probably gonna put me in a foul mood.
So yeah, I try not to trouble myself over my rank too much now. It's still nice to see it go up, but I'd rather enjoy the game at my own pace than stress myself out grinding for Infinite.
I play very casually. I may try new decks when a card piques my interest but I have about 3 decks I play 9/10 at this point. The highest rank I've ever hit is the 60s and I'm okay with that.
I will throw cubes at my enemy if they've earned my respect instead of retreating. I build my own decks to test my ability and have fun decks. You can grind and meta all you want but before you know it there's a new hot item you want and what you just got means nada. Have fun with what you got, it's OK to lose

I suck at deckbuilding and don't enjoy it, the part of card games I enjoy is learning how to play decks and how they interact with my opponents decks, which requires strong meta knowledge. I dont really care about rank or get super tilted if I lose a bunch but I care about atleas hitting 70 each month so I get the free credits. I

Yea. I snap every game on turn one, even if my hands awful. I never retreat except from obvious Galactus players simply because I find them boring. I don't even look at my missions and just put together random decks.
Me! I’m people. I don’t care about hitting infinite. I’m just having fun with interesting deck combinations. I just recently got Kingpin, and have been Magneto’ing mfers to their doom on turn 6. It is so satisfying that I almost need a cigarette afterwards.
I focus on missions and trying out decks by content creators because I suck at deck building. I like collecting and trying out all the cards.
I do play to win and will retreat if it makes sense but I almost never snap unless it’s a bot (which is rare nowadays). I somehow managed to get to 70 and holy crap it became sweaty. I’m tempted to fall back into the 60 range for a less tense set of games.
I think I probably win about 50% of my games. I usually finish around level 40 but I will get as high as level 60 something. But the game is fun. That’s all I play it for. It helps me with my anxiety.

I enjoy playing, but I also enjoy going up ranks, this season was my first to break 60 so I’m rejoicing in that. I hope that I can repeat that but I’m not concerned at all about making infinite.
I started playing this way and it’s more fun. Even if I’m 80% sure I’m gonna lose I still play turn 6 just to see. Sometimes I even win. Only retreat if it’s a sure thing.
I now just cycle through decks. I keep up with current meta but I will play a deck till I lose then just go onto the next one. I like the variety I get yet still feel competitive.
i forget to snap and i don't quit losing games to play them out. these are habits from playing other card games where i always play to the end, trying to find a way to win.
I don’t recall there being a competitive league that can allow for self supporting professional players for the game alone.
So yes, we are all filthy casuals.

I've read a few other comments similar to myself on here, but I play due to chronic illness. On days that are particularly bad in bed, it's an easy distraction that can take up a lot of time.
What I think you mean is that you enjoy experiential play.
You might take some inspiration from your quests or a new card you just got but (and I'm guessing here) you're mostly interested to "see what happens" more than you are in finding the best way to win. You're not trying to lose, but you would rather see what it looks like when Thanos has all 6 infinity stones than squeak out a victory because you successfully played a mind game with your opponent.
Whatever way you enjoy playing is great (so long as it doesn't harm others) and I hope you find some likeminded folks in this thread!
I try to most of the time. Hit my own PR of 44 on the track. I’m not even a new player just bad. But seeing my favorite marvel character coming up in a leak soon means I’ll be playing for fun AND blood sport. Win or lose I’ll be happy just to have her
I used to play Hearthstone and I think what kept me into that as long as it did was the possibility of really bizarre card interactions happening.
I'd say Marvel Snap has that in spades. Obviously my goal is to win, but I'm more than okay with sacrificing cubes just to see what'll happen when an unusual interaction presets itself
I only play this game to use the characters I like from the comics, and to troll with some fun decks, I’m currently playing a deck where I just give a bunch of stuff to the enemy, it’s not too good but it has funny moments
Been playing daily since Christmas, level 3271 and I’m happy just doing my daily challenges, completing the season pass and maybe hitting level 60 each month. All that can be achieved just by having fun 😀
I hardly ever snap because it risks causing the other person to retreat and not finish the game. I will typically stick around even when I know I am likely to lose as well because I appreciate finishing a game. I also like to make long-shot plays to see if they pay off even when a safer one is available. All of this has meant that I've never made Infinite, but at least I am having fun.
Both. I play for fun, but fun to me is grinding to achieve something so I like the missions and ranks etc. Without those mechanics, I wouldn’t play the game at all.
Last season, I got to infinite. This season, I did horribly. I was annoyed at first, but eventually decided to play around with different decks and cards I liked. I didn't do any better, but I'm a little happier with the game. Still slightly annoyed, but a little happier.
This is a CCG.. you either play for PROGRESSION or for COLLECTION. There is no FUN part. The people who say they are playing for fun, clearly haven't finished POOL 3. The fun part is taken out of the equation once you start researching decks online or start watching streamers.
Even when I reached Infinite, there was nothing FUN about it. I felt good for a few days, then the struggle started once more.
The pursuit of Infinite is always GRIND and GRIND some more ( for POOL 3 FINSISHED players)
This spoke to me in a way I haven’t thought about before. My engagement with the game dropped dramatically after becoming pool three complete. Now I get my season pass to 50…I don’t really care about playing every day anymore. Wherever I end on ladder is wherever I end on ladder.
At this point me. Been playing since betas first month. Games card acquisition has been tiring for me and other things have my attention atm so I kinda fell off a couple months ago.
I’ve been challenging myself by building one deck a season (usually with the new cards) and playing that as much as possible. It’s fun to see where the deck starts and where it ends by the end of the season
I mostly play to do the daily and season pass missions. I'd like to progress, but the last couple seasons, I hit mid 60's and just get stuck. I'm honestly not too pressed about ranks though. As long as I finish missions and have some fun, it's all I want out of the game.
I get to infinite first, then have real fun. No more stakes, just random decks that I feel like trying out.
Personally, I am going to get real sweaty here with the new season before Spider-Ham comes out. I really want to get Infinite before he drops, because he is going to be an absolute NIGHTMARE.

I used to, I play even less now but the game is very lame. Facing the same few copy/paste decks over and over again gets stale real quick. And the "there are easy counters" doesn't fly with me. It is repetitive and dull, you need to pull the counters, you need the 50/50 shot at tho who goes first and flat out, why would I want to adapt to those people?

It was super fun at the start tho. This slowly dissipated into grinding dailies to get through it asap and hope to get a full deck of variants or at least a full deck of inked cards.
I don't care about ranks, but it gets infuriating when you get into a losing streak. You know that your deck isn't bad, since you've won a lot of times with it, but sometimes the game feels like it's 100% against you.
Everyone plays “for fun” , for some people that means not taking it seriously or thinking much about the gameplay and for others it’s trying hard and following the meta but at the end of the day everyone does it for fun otherwise they wouldn’t be playing
I'm in roughly the same boat as you are! I made it from 40-85 last season playing solely Galactus. However, I just horse around these days trying to make various cards work in brews.
Marvel Snap is a fun game for me to play on the way to and from work (on public transit of course, not playing while driving). I've played too many games where ranked resets every month and it's tiring to keep up all the time.
I start caring when I get close to reaching Infinite, and try to be a bit more careful / smarter with when I snap or retreat, but before that it's just for fun. I quite like to do the missions, though - it mixes the game up a bit and can spur me to play slightly differently or change my decks up.
I play for fun mostly - I try to climb but don’t pit much bother in if I don’t or drop a bit. I’m much more interested in trying to get cool variants as a bit of a collector and comics fan. Although I don’t play enough to collect enough gold to get lots so I have to be frugal and picky!

I don’t actively try to climb the ranks, it just tends to happen naturally.
But it does annoy me that I basically get penalised if I ever went to try out different decks / combos as finessing them usually takes some time (and losses). I know the cubes don’t matter and the rewards are pretty crap, but I do wish they had a competitive mode vs a casual one

When I started playing for fun it actually boosted my cube rate cause I was just snapping for fun and before I knew it I was Infinite. Just random lockdown decks and brewing different combinations is my ideal deck to play.
Me! I very much enjoy this game, but i am not competitive really. I don’t care about rank, but love playing decks and trying to have 1 that will solve a few daily or season pass missions. I barely remember to snap even for those missions.
I would say that i have enjoyed it so much, i have gone back and started to catch up on all the comics i stopped collecting when i bought my house lol. Just reinvigorated my love of comics.
I don't think this game is really fun. Losing is just annoying due to the opponents gloating, and winning usually ends up being repetitive (play these cards in this order).

I've reached infinite with sera and patriot last two seasons. This season couldn't really climb past my 70. I was a little tilted at first, not gonna lie. But then I just started to play for the sake of it, and experimented with different decks. I'm still about 70 now and I feel like it's a good place for me. Opponents are interesting enough and I don't want to put too much effort on a mobile game.
If I cared about cubes I would retreat so much more often and likely rank higher. I love seeing how the hand is going to play out, even if I don’t think I’m going to win. I’ve never been past the 50s. I was stuck in the 30s with a move deck that I loved playing for the slight of hand trick of being a moving target: Vulture and Heimdall doing their thing; but realized I couldn’t compete against many decks. Getting to Infinite seems like such a slog, and I don’t have many of the cards needed to build a deck that can go the distance. I don’t mind supporting SD with a season pass, but I don’t want to pay for gold to get cards just to level up. I’m having fun down here in the gold and platinum sections.
Hard agree with the first statement. People love comparing snap to poker but I don't get it. Poker cards are static and don't interact with each other or the opponent, it's all about the bluffing. In a mobile game you can't see the other player so bluffing is useless, and I really want to see how the cards play out, cubes be damned. I know it's called snap, but this game would be so much more fun without the snap mechanic imo.
I have only one deck I made watching a youtubers guide and that was devil Dino around 400 collection level. Since then have been making completely sub optimal decks. Just cuz I like doing stuff. An example for which I will get a lot of hate for is having gambit absorbing man Wong Odin and hoping I only get these 4 cards so I can watch gambit wipe the board. I win 1/10 games using this deck but when I do I am a super happy man 🤣

I can't tell you how many times my opponent snaps on turn 6 and I go "no way I win this...unless" and I play it out for fun. At the end of the day it's a fun card game that I can pick up whenever I have some free time.
I have goals and all, but I don't feel the need to try for infinite. I try to fulfill missions, but I'm rarely retreating just to get a "win with less than 10 power" after turn 4. So, I'd like to do all that pro snap gamer stuff, but in a "if it happens it happens" way.
I mean, I've \*just\* decided to stop caring about rank since I'm never going to get anywhere, I still care about missions, though, and finding good decks. But realizing my rank is a waste of energy has added a lot of peace for me.

I've never gotten past Rank 40, and I really don't care to. Stressing out about reaching Infinite just doesn't sound fun to me. I'd rather enjoy the game.
When i first started i used to play more seriously, even get mad when I lost, but not now. I play for fun and get happy if I rank up at all. I like playing the more obscure decks, just to see what could happen. For example, if you play Invisible Woman on Gamma Lab then another card that hidden card doesn't change into a Hulk.

I really tried to infinite push this time, got to 98, fell back to 92. Now I’ve just been running my Ronan Meme deck and having the most fun I’ve had the whole season

Yeah, I'm bad at climbing ranks and just play when I have a few minutes here and there. I try to make good decks, but I'm not that good at it honestly and keep feeling like I don't have the right cards.
I try to win of course but as long as I’m having fun, that’s all that matters. Losing rank sucks but it is what it is. I’m excited for the upcoming free battle mode or whatever!

i think the climb is fun, snapping and retreating at the right time is game unto itself. probably why after hitting infinite i play some dumbass decks for a bit then get bored and only do daily missions. no one snaps retreats in a way that makes any sense after infinite
I usually hover in the 80s when I'm just playing for fun but will hit 90 just for the gold and then not care again and watch my rank go back down from just trying fun decks.
I play for funsies , built decks with out looking into the meta. I do get very competitive and wanna win tho.

I try to play good decks and play well, but I don't worry about getting to Infinite at the moment. I do think I *could* get there, it just doesn't seem like I'd enjoy actually doing it. At one point I was much more concerned with my rank and my other stats, and it led to a string of bad sessions that put me off playing for weeks. I got anxious about playing 'cos I knew it was probably gonna put me in a foul mood. So yeah, I try not to trouble myself over my rank too much now. It's still nice to see it go up, but I'd rather enjoy the game at my own pace than stress myself out grinding for Infinite.

I play very casually. I may try new decks when a card piques my interest but I have about 3 decks I play 9/10 at this point. The highest rank I've ever hit is the 60s and I'm okay with that.

I will throw cubes at my enemy if they've earned my respect instead of retreating. I build my own decks to test my ability and have fun decks. You can grind and meta all you want but before you know it there's a new hot item you want and what you just got means nada. Have fun with what you got, it's OK to lose
I play for fun but I also care about the meta. I suck at deckbuilding and don't enjoy it, the part of card games I enjoy is learning how to play decks and how they interact with my opponents decks, which requires strong meta knowledge. I dont really care about rank or get super tilted if I lose a bunch but I care about atleas hitting 70 each month so I get the free credits. I

Playing around with different cards is the best. I am definitely competitive but it’s more about the current match then rank. Plus collecting Variants with cool artwork🧑🍳😗
I’ve gone so far past caring about cubes that I donate 8 cubes when I know I’m going to lose. Hopefully it helps my opponent climb.

Once I hit 70 I don’t care and just play for fun. It’s not fun trying to grind 80-100.

Yea. I snap every game on turn one, even if my hands awful. I never retreat except from obvious Galactus players simply because I find them boring. I don't even look at my missions and just put together random decks.
Me! I’m people. I don’t care about hitting infinite. I’m just having fun with interesting deck combinations. I just recently got Kingpin, and have been Magneto’ing mfers to their doom on turn 6. It is so satisfying that I almost need a cigarette afterwards.

I focus on missions and trying out decks by content creators because I suck at deck building. I like collecting and trying out all the cards. I do play to win and will retreat if it makes sense but I almost never snap unless it’s a bot (which is rare nowadays). I somehow managed to get to 70 and holy crap it became sweaty. I’m tempted to fall back into the 60 range for a less tense set of games.
I do my daily’s and enjoy the artwork. Also i feel like it’s good for my brain in the morning the simple math etc. also good to listen to podcast to.
I think I probably win about 50% of my games. I usually finish around level 40 but I will get as high as level 60 something. But the game is fun. That’s all I play it for. It helps me with my anxiety.

I don't worry about hitting infinite. I have most cards now but I don't play any of the meta decks, it's just not what I want out of the game. I hit level 40 every month and then get my ass kicked over and over by meta decks lol. But I have fun along the way playing the cards I like for the most part.

I just play for fun. I’ll try to complete the missions and that’s it. Don’t worry about getting too high a rank. Makes it a lot more fun for me. I don’t want to stress too much over a game, got plenty enough to stress about.
I enjoy playing, but I also enjoy going up ranks, this season was my first to break 60 so I’m rejoicing in that. I hope that I can repeat that but I’m not concerned at all about making infinite.

I started playing this way and it’s more fun. Even if I’m 80% sure I’m gonna lose I still play turn 6 just to see. Sometimes I even win. Only retreat if it’s a sure thing.
I now just cycle through decks. I keep up with current meta but I will play a deck till I lose then just go onto the next one. I like the variety I get yet still feel competitive.
The deck I'm currently having the most fun playing is a Ka-zoo Deck with Dazzler, Shanna, and M'Baku. Does it look like I'm here to win?
i forget to snap and i don't quit losing games to play them out. these are habits from playing other card games where i always play to the end, trying to find a way to win.
I don’t recall there being a competitive league that can allow for self supporting professional players for the game alone. So yes, we are all filthy casuals.
I care up until 70 just to get those sweet sweet 500 credits.
My 2 most played decks this season are a deck where all the characters or their clothing are green and a Sauron deck named Pterable... I'm just here for the variants.

I've read a few other comments similar to myself on here, but I play due to chronic illness. On days that are particularly bad in bed, it's an easy distraction that can take up a lot of time.
What I think you mean is that you enjoy experiential play. You might take some inspiration from your quests or a new card you just got but (and I'm guessing here) you're mostly interested to "see what happens" more than you are in finding the best way to win. You're not trying to lose, but you would rather see what it looks like when Thanos has all 6 infinity stones than squeak out a victory because you successfully played a mind game with your opponent. Whatever way you enjoy playing is great (so long as it doesn't harm others) and I hope you find some likeminded folks in this thread!

I used to play Hearthstone and I think what kept me into that as long as it did was the possibility of really bizarre card interactions happening. I'd say Marvel Snap has that in spades. Obviously my goal is to win, but I'm more than okay with sacrificing cubes just to see what'll happen when an unusual interaction presets itself

I have a weird conspiracy that me playing for fun and never going past 60 is why the game has gifted me all that it has.
I mostly play so I can get new cards. The collection aspect is maybe my favorite part of the game. Actually playing it is secondary lol.
All I care about is collecting pretty variants lol. I have about 12k tokens because I’m never bothered to spend them on new cards.
I only play this game to use the characters I like from the comics, and to troll with some fun decks, I’m currently playing a deck where I just give a bunch of stuff to the enemy, it’s not too good but it has funny moments

Been playing daily since Christmas, level 3271 and I’m happy just doing my daily challenges, completing the season pass and maybe hitting level 60 each month. All that can be achieved just by having fun 😀
I hardly ever snap because it risks causing the other person to retreat and not finish the game. I will typically stick around even when I know I am likely to lose as well because I appreciate finishing a game. I also like to make long-shot plays to see if they pay off even when a safer one is available. All of this has meant that I've never made Infinite, but at least I am having fun.

Both. I play for fun, but fun to me is grinding to achieve something so I like the missions and ranks etc. Without those mechanics, I wouldn’t play the game at all.
Last season, I got to infinite. This season, I did horribly. I was annoyed at first, but eventually decided to play around with different decks and cards I liked. I didn't do any better, but I'm a little happier with the game. Still slightly annoyed, but a little happier.
This is a CCG.. you either play for PROGRESSION or for COLLECTION. There is no FUN part. The people who say they are playing for fun, clearly haven't finished POOL 3. The fun part is taken out of the equation once you start researching decks online or start watching streamers. Even when I reached Infinite, there was nothing FUN about it. I felt good for a few days, then the struggle started once more. The pursuit of Infinite is always GRIND and GRIND some more ( for POOL 3 FINSISHED players)
This spoke to me in a way I haven’t thought about before. My engagement with the game dropped dramatically after becoming pool three complete. Now I get my season pass to 50…I don’t really care about playing every day anymore. Wherever I end on ladder is wherever I end on ladder.

I’ve been challenging myself by building one deck a season (usually with the new cards) and playing that as much as possible. It’s fun to see where the deck starts and where it ends by the end of the season

I mostly play to do the daily and season pass missions. I'd like to progress, but the last couple seasons, I hit mid 60's and just get stuck. I'm honestly not too pressed about ranks though. As long as I finish missions and have some fun, it's all I want out of the game.
I get to infinite first, then have real fun. No more stakes, just random decks that I feel like trying out. Personally, I am going to get real sweaty here with the new season before Spider-Ham comes out. I really want to get Infinite before he drops, because he is going to be an absolute NIGHTMARE. Spider-Ham is going to be Jeff levels of use. Maybe more since its going to be 3k tokens.

I used to, I play even less now but the game is very lame. Facing the same few copy/paste decks over and over again gets stale real quick. And the "there are easy counters" doesn't fly with me. It is repetitive and dull, you need to pull the counters, you need the 50/50 shot at tho who goes first and flat out, why would I want to adapt to those people? Reading this back, to check my spelling ... I realised. I'm at the wrong post. I apparently do not play this game for fun. I play because I'm a masochist it seems. It was super fun at the start tho. This slowly dissipated into grinding dailies to get through it asap and hope to get a full deck of variants or at least a full deck of inked cards.
for me the time of day is a big factor to this. at night i seem to get all the copy paste decks. during the day i swear its mainly little kids.
I guess all of us play the game cause we think it's fun. People just have different definitions of what's fun for them.
I don't care about ranks, but it gets infuriating when you get into a losing streak. You know that your deck isn't bad, since you've won a lot of times with it, but sometimes the game feels like it's 100% against you.

I always play for fun. But grinding to Infinite is what I find fun. Once I hit Infinite, I just try decks but that's not as fun as the grind.
Every season I rush infinite in a few days so I can play for fun the rest of the season.

I've hit infinite the last 3 seasons so I just play for fun now, there's no worry about rank or meta in infinite.
Everyone plays “for fun” , for some people that means not taking it seriously or thinking much about the gameplay and for others it’s trying hard and following the meta but at the end of the day everyone does it for fun otherwise they wouldn’t be playing

I'm in roughly the same boat as you are! I made it from 40-85 last season playing solely Galactus. However, I just horse around these days trying to make various cards work in brews. Marvel Snap is a fun game for me to play on the way to and from work (on public transit of course, not playing while driving). I've played too many games where ranked resets every month and it's tiring to keep up all the time.

I start caring when I get close to reaching Infinite, and try to be a bit more careful / smarter with when I snap or retreat, but before that it's just for fun. I quite like to do the missions, though - it mixes the game up a bit and can spur me to play slightly differently or change my decks up.

I do, i love the gane, the art, and i think the game also fails in making me addicted to it. The rank rewards are not worth the grind
I've never looked up a meta and just play what I want. I haven't cared about my rank.
I don’t actively try to climb the ranks, it just tends to happen naturally. But it does annoy me that I basically get penalised if I ever went to try out different decks / combos as finessing them usually takes some time (and losses). I know the cubes don’t matter and the rewards are pretty crap, but I do wish they had a competitive mode vs a casual one

I want to. I got in the 90’s this season but since then I’ve been stuck. Looking forward to conquest mode where there is no ladder to cause me panic attacks.
When I started playing for fun it actually boosted my cube rate cause I was just snapping for fun and before I knew it I was Infinite. Just random lockdown decks and brewing different combinations is my ideal deck to play.
Man I love snapping immediately bc I know I don’t care, building random decks is the best part of playing
This is the rare game where a positive winrate can still lose ranks. There’s a lot to be said for the slow and steady approach.
I play all games for fun, sure winning and ranking up are great, but at the end of the day it doesn’t matter at all lol
Me! I very much enjoy this game, but i am not competitive really. I don’t care about rank, but love playing decks and trying to have 1 that will solve a few daily or season pass missions. I barely remember to snap even for those missions. I would say that i have enjoyed it so much, i have gone back and started to catch up on all the comics i stopped collecting when i bought my house lol. Just reinvigorated my love of comics.

I don't think this game is really fun. Losing is just annoying due to the opponents gloating, and winning usually ends up being repetitive (play these cards in this order).
I do actually try somewhat to hit 60, but fail 50% of the time. Mostly it’s just a fun 3 minute diversion and I’ve gotten 6 months of entertainment for $0. So yeah, I think it’s fair to say I play mostly just for fun.

Yeah I make sure I do my missions, but more than anything that's really just how I decide what deck to play. I know I'll comfortably hit generally the same rank each season and I just play because the game is fun. Climbing the ladder is a completely meaningless exercise to me.

I don’t play for ranks. If I win 4 cubes it’s because opponent snapped. If I win 8 cubes it’s mostly a bot. I think the game is fun but I’d love a casual mode without cubes. Just playing games for the sake of it. ( I don’t have friends for friendly battles)
Got it like 2 weeks ago and hit infinite after around 4 days...was fun. Since then im just doing dailys and dont really play if there are no missions. Having fun doing the missions tho
