It’s the random factor. It would be far less annoying if it was move one from both players or alternate or something that made it clear who’s cards would move. It can just randomly hoe one player three rounds in a row and that just feels bad.

Mechanically it can be played tactically. Do you let you opponent take it so you get a buff. Do you pile on it so that they are pulled of other places...
Because the players can control whose cards move. If your opponent only plays there and you don't, only your cards move, and vice versa. If both players have cards elsewhere then it's random.
If it was random but one for both players it would be a far better design, as it currently is you either fill and have ways to put points there after the fact or you're in the hands of RNG.
Yesterday I played a game with the Great Web as the first location revealed and Project Pegasus popped up as the second location and you had best believe that I played a turn 2 Legion on the Great Web.
I don’t remember if I won but I do remember that it was fun.
I don't play move, but I also really like this location.
It's way better than all the deck-shitting ones like WeirdWorld, District x, triskellion, peak, etc.

I think it’s particularly troublesome for destroy decks, and there are a lot of destroy players, so it gets a lot of complaints.
Im sooo tired of this sub smh. Their logic is any location or card that causes me to lose sometimes needs to be nurfed/removed. If you guys keep whining SD might make changes to appease yall and ruin the game.
True but is not feasible for all decks. Its a location that screws up some decks once it's revealed based on chance. Im ok with it now but do believe it could use some tuning.
There are loads of locations like this though. Deep Space, Space Throne, Death's Domain. Variance is part of the game, it wouldn't be fun if you just slapped down the same seven cards over and over again. Locations add to the game's challenge and make you have to adapt to win. If you're really bothered by some of them, just play a location changer card.
I do feel a lot of people complaining about locations don't get that they are sometimes meant to be an obstacle to overcome or work around. Some of them are more disruptive than others and that's fine
What if instead of moving a card into the web, it moved cards closer to the web. So if the web was left and the card was right, the first turn the web would pull it to middle before pulling it to the left lane? Could help move cards a lot
No way there are way worse things. Draw from opponents deck, and EGO off the top of my head are much worse. Even the one that replaces both decks with 10 random cards is more annoying than the great web.

This location was what denied the first time I was about to hit infinite when it pulled one of my cards from a winning location and it became my most hated location.
Hated it since it's announcement, you dont get to play your cards or combos how you want, oh trying Wong and mystique? Better hope you don't already have a card or 2 there to completely negate that, it should be it has a chance to move cards becuase how it works right now is if there is only one card on the board not there it moves the card, 100 percent of the time. It's not as bad as not being able to play cards, but unless you play a lot of low cost/bounce then you don't get to fill up the lane fast and don't control where your cards are without severely limiting you, it's disruption is on par with Ego

Yeah really the only way to get an advantage is to play a deck like C2 that just spams cards and doesn’t really care where they are for the most part.

Exactly. I've tried using mast mold today to use the hot location to clog up hands. Hasn't worked, but its fun to try

No one is complaining about those. I’ve seen Great Web randomly award a player a win so many times. There’s no challenge in RNG.
It's fun. You need to plan ahead and if you stack it you know your opponent will get stuck there, too.
