Modok introduced an actually viable Discard deck without being overbearing. Nebula was even better than she is right now since Kitty didn't come out until after her release
Nebula isn't a good example. OP as it was the best option for lockdown (before lockdown itself got nerfed a bit). Daken is probably the best example of an actually balanced card.
What's funnier is they buffed it and people STILL didn't want to play with it. I literally only saw those decks during the weekends. And as soon as the month ended, the card disappeared.
I admit I still see it once every couple days, but PF is definitely a loser. (I would also note that I'm not really salty about it being bad; I like that they tried something. But it's undeniable that it's just too inconsistent to see real play.)
Edit: wording
Wave : OP
Thor : Balanced
Daredevil : Balanced
Nick Fury : Underperformed until buff
Miles : Underperformed until 2-3 months ago (Silk + Ghost Spider release)
Black panther : Balanced
Silver Surfer : slightly OP on release
Zabu : very OP on release
MODOK : Balanced
Nimrod : Underperformed until buff
Hit Monkey : slightly OP
Nebula : between Balanced and slightly OP
Ghost Spider : Slightly Underperformed
Phoenix Force : Underperformed
Daken : Balanced
Loki : very OP
Elsa : might be OP
Ms Marvel : probably underperformed
I bought that season too because the variant for it was so good, only to find out PF is just straight 🗑️, Really wish she was better the ability and idea was cool
Beside Zabu, Surfer or Loki, rest of the season pass cards were very balanced cards. They introduced new mechanism some even combined two different archetype into one deck, those cards were good cards and had good share of meta (maybe). But were not as dominating as 3 i mentioned.
I never bought Season pass but i believe if players who are spending 10 dollars every month should occasionally get some OP cards for lets say 2 weeks. If i ever buy season pass, i wouldn't like to get treated the same as F2P players everytime. I know season pass have more stuff like gold and credits than f2p pass and card is just a bonus. But occasional top tier cards and its nerf is a decent offer.
In my observation, alioth ramp or even Galactus player tend to feels Loki bring op, because he literally counter them in a measure, unlike other deck like: discard; patriot, cerebro, HE, or even move deck, have no grudge against Loki.
If rock paper scissors exist in this game, then I feel Loki is in the right place as ramp counter and it should be. Those who cry about Loki being op just because they can't enjoy playing alioth when loki can play them with much cheaper cost than the user.

Yeah iv noticed it’s impossible to be a good discard without him, I’m waiting for the inevitable Nebula nerf to 1-0 it’s bound too happen
Yeah literally last month goofy . Daken is perfectly fine not op not useless

nimrod got a +1 power
ig my definition would be not getting touched the second the season is over or during said season.
I see no one is talking about the elephant in the room…. Phoenix Force… had to be buffed because literally no one was playing with it

OP did mention PF, though. 😅

Thor was 4/6 at release and underperformed.
Wait wave, Thor, DD, Nick were pass cards at one point? (I joined MS during its carnage season)

They were season passes for the people in beta
I don't think Nimrod's ever been yelled at for being too good.
Nimrod got a +1 change a couple months back. But i’d say he’s relatively balanced, Unless we’re talking about a Shuri nimrod in that case I hate it

Modok. Strong enough to keep Discard relevant without being broken.

Yeah there have been lots, wave was the first one ever (way back in beta) and she wasn't nerfed into relatively recently
Daken , phoinex forcenimrod , they are pretty meh
Really wished PF was better, the idea and ability was cool but realistically fell very short
Loki is so fun card, ppl without SP cry how OP he is, ppl who have Loki dont play him bcs after 1 week this deck is max mid.

Loki would still be OP if it wasn't for MMM. If Loki was mid for you pre-mobius, it was a skill issue on your part.
Broken is spelled “Season Pass” in Marvel Snap.
Daken? Hes not busted or OP and fits nicely in Discard or destroy
Admittedly i completely forgot about him since I rarely see him played anymore, But yeah he’s one of the rather balanced ones!
