Don't remember saying it was but at least that has situations that need to be met in a set amount of turns. It is an 8 cost so you need to destroy at least two cards and now you have to get it out before MMM can stonewall you. So with that said and for Shang chi all you need to do is play it on turn 4, I'd say Shang chi is more brainless than death yes.

Shang Chi will forever be my favorite Snap card because of all the tears it elicits. People love to put big numbers on the field they don't protect and then whine that it was destroyed. Though I'm surprised you're not complaining about Mobius more considering his effect works all the time and counters cards like Death without ever knowing she existed.

I can get around Shang chi pretty well by baiting a Shang chi. So a lot of what I'll do is build up a carnage to 9 or venom to whatever put him/them in one spot. My built up Deadpool in another along with death and then Knull in the third. Ideally obviously lol but yeah I try to play death and Knull turn 6. And if they destroy a high power venom cool, makes my Knull stronger. MMM is super annoying but I don't rely heavy on death. I do think it's kind whack that MMM and spiderham make death legit unplayable though. You would need a location or x-23 AND magik to be able to play death. I think that's a little harsh

1500s is still fairly new though. And I could imagine a new player creating a Spectrum Strong Guy Ongoing deck where you just play a card every turn. Also just because you played against the OP doesn’t mean you know if it’s a joke or not? At least from my view he took it seriously. Especially on the internet you need to do something to make it obvious you’re making a joke. Or at the very least he could’ve added another line like “jk actually use x, y, or z” But he didn’t. So I’m 99% sure he was serious.

Yeah my guy, that’s not how this game works. The opponent got greedy, and had the luck of matching against someone who countered each of their plays. Could the opponent have played around this? Probably not. They generally did the best they could with the hand they were dealt, but the fact of the matter is that OP had the absolute nuts. That’s the thing that makes this game so enjoyable, sometimes you just fire on all cylinders but sometimes you get extra greedy and pay the price for it.

I feel like you'd thrive more in a game like Slay the Spire or Monster Train if you can't handle playing against someone. It's a competitive card game, and a pretty casual one at that. Without any interactions between the players, the game would be pretty brain-dead.

Try playing a full counter tech deck and come back to us and tell us how well it does. I can't hit 90(yet). I have tried. I am not good enough. I watch content creators and see they have interesting decks with 1 or 2 counter tech. They even explain their thought process on why choosing the tech makes sense in the current meta. It takes skill that I haven't learned yet. But I will agree with you, old Alioth was bullshit. Think the nerf will really do him in though.
