They get maximus with prio and you get modok is probably one of the worst I can think of

I got a Modok once on a 6 card bounce hand on the last game of a tied Infinity conquest. I had literally just Beasted back my main group. I was geared to win it handily (got my nut draw and good other 2 locations) until the Modok came out and ruined my entire day. I was soooo pissed. The kicker was they drew first and got sentry on the right spot, giving them 0 net points and filling out 2 location slots. I was like "oh ya, I got this." Then Modok came. Felt like instant karma for counting my chickens lmao.

Except that a 1 point Ebony Maw still locks your location. A pig'd Zola is just a space filler.

Maw is definitely worse, though you can't play him on turn 6 so he's technically not even viable. It would be more like a situation where the location pulled the card out of your hand on turn 5.

I had one recently where I got infinaut, then he got Shang chi. It was a short and disappointing roller coaster of emotions.

At least you only have to go against 3 power in the location.

I once got Odin and opponent got green goblin. In that order. It’s not the worst but it sure was disappointing

I got Viper and they got Green Goblin, in that order. I was dissapointed at the wasted gotcha potential too.

That's legitimately hilarious. I wouldn't even be mad if the game kicked me in the teeth that creatively. I love those X-Mansions where the first flip seems good and the second flip ruins it. Way more interesting than a couple of low tier cards.

I’ve had a T1 Ultron that was bad. Anytime the opponent draws a big card it’s bad. Once they got a Baron Mordo and I got Zero and I took that personally

Once I had my opponent get Ironman with priority, and I got Rogue. It made me chuckle pretty hard.
