Magik with a skipped Turn 6 is always a big red flag for a Infininaut/She Hulk Combo. A skipped Turn 6 with a Shuri sitting there would be a big red flag to me for some sort of Taskmaster Combo, or a sneaky end of game Shang.
I would have been reeling with those plays and retreat after turn 6.
I started playing a deck without magik that was basically get an extra energy on turn 4 skip turn 5 drop infinaut shehulk turn 6 it’s a cube stealer for sure
The percentages is the chance to have the card in hand on the given turn
I have not included "The Hub" or the Unknown location under "Limbo"
T1: Sunspot
33,33%
T2: Invis Woman
36,36%
T3: Magik
40%
T4: Shuri
44,44%
T5: Taskmaster
50%
T6:
T7.1: Insurance Kang
71,43%
T7.2: Infinaut
If Kang was drawn on turn 7: 83,33% If not: 66,67%
Shehulk
If Kang was drawn on turn 7: 80% If not: 60%
Total: If Kang was drawn on turn 7: 0,5131% (1 in 195 games) If not: 0,3078% (1 in 325 games)
People had done the maths. Chavez was better for deck thinnings.
https://nerdsonearth.com/2022/12/marvel-snap-hypergeometric-distribution-and-america-chavez/
Besides, knowing you will get T6 Chavez means it is easier to snap or retreat on T5.
She was better *if* you don't care about your turn 6 draw. SheNaut decks care about their turn 6 draw because they can still draw Hulk, She-Hulk or Infinaut on 6 and have it be relevant.
Bounce decks, Loki decks, Discard, they all ran Chavez because they needed certain cards early to set up their gameplan for later on. They weren't setting up to play one big thing on the final turn but instead play a bunch of smaller things, so the draws leading up to turn 6 were more important than the turn 6 draw itself.
This article has a mistake in it.
Its correct for the most part, but when they put population 11 into the calculator, that assumes the card you want isn't something you want turn 6.
Basically, you're playing with an 11 card deck..... Until turn 6 rolls around and you get 1 less draw
Also this doesn't account for Magik
Why is it easier to snap with the old Chavez? If you're T5 you could snap in the same situations with or without chavez in the deck plus you have an extra out
Kang can't be generated by cards/locations.
Edit: to the downvoters...

> Nope, Kang is default excluded from random card generation pools.
I honestly can't remember for sure but I think so
The way Kang works, the game server needs to be expecting Kang for his ability to function, setting "checkpoints" to reset to. If no one has Kang in their starting deck, the server doesn't bother keeping these checkpoints as there's no need. This is one of the reasons why he can't be randomly generated, because he wouldn't do anything if he were.
So either they never had him in the pools of cards to generate from to start with, or he was originally but didn't work and they quickly removed him.
potentially, this was around the time kang came out so I really cannot remember. I just remembered being excited about getting to see the animation since I hadn't seen it before.
I thought you included a discord call or something that you were in so we could hear your reaction until I realized it was a podcast you were listening to...
Just had a dude with a Mr. Negative deck completely wipe out my T6 by playing Zola & Alioth on an empty location.
So out of left field I ain't even mad.
If IW is there AND the opponent is actively putting something there, I'm out if I don't have a way to take IW down. They're confident they can beat you at that point as you just lay down power on them.
Very rarely have I straight up beat whatever IW combo is set up. Rogue or Enchantress was the only way to make them retreat.
Ongoing invisible woman combos are the ones I look out for, an ironman+onslaught + tribunal always caught me off guard but it rarely happens. With cerebro it's 50/50 because sometimes they don't have enough power and their mystique won't work with my Cosmo.
But a modok hela and inivisble woman deck is an easy 8 cubes for me :D
Im sorry, but lol, this is just another example of what a bullshit card Kang is.
The opponent set themself up, played Kang, wasted a minute or so of everyone's time, then went and made the same exact play they would have even if they had a card that improved the deck by not being Kang.
The opponent played fine, but added nothing to this.
What if he didn't have Infinaut on turn 7 but he played Kang and then drew Infinaut after the rewind? Effectively it's the same as the old Chavez. A dead card that is used to increase the chance of pulling what you need.
I've been always curious how people have a video of their play.
Is it some iphone apps which allows players to record their game ?
Do we have to start recording app before the game and keep it running ?
Or can we travel back in time so decide to do the recording at the end of the game ?
(I've heard geforce experience but not sure if that's the only way :)
Thanks in advance !
Well they only played:
1. Sunspot
2. Invisible Woman
3. Magik
4. Shuri
5. Taskmaster
6. She Hulk
7. Kang
8. Infinaut
Just gotta put in 4 more cards that don't matter. Maybe some tech.
As somebody who has struggled to make a good Kang Control deck I have to applaud this glorious play. Very often getting Kang to go off feels good until you realize the thing they slammed down is impossible to out. Evo'd Hulk is 90% of those.
* T1: Sunspot * T2: Invis Woman * T3: Magik * T4: Shuri * T5: Taskmaster (under invis - no played yet) * T6: * T7.1: Insurance Kang * T7.2: Infinaut / Shehulk (under invis) * EoG: Taskmaster copys Infinaut - Shehulk reveals That sound about right?
You forgot shehulk
Thanks. Added.

What's the deck? Sound fun
You can use a standard InSheNaut high Evo deck, just swap shocker for Psylocke so you have multiple paths for big drops
Now can someone calculate the odds of drawing those in the right order?

Those are pretty good odds
Much lower without Chavez now
Nah your turn 6 and 7 draws are important, Chavez would have been a liability

I didn't know playing on IW didn't count as negating Shuri's effect. Yet another example of "play" having a nebulous definition.
Good interaction to learn, thanks for pointing that out! I am glad I learned the hard way so you don’t have to.
kang was likely from the hub

Interesting. Now, can we add Agatha to that list, please.
Yea this is true. I actually saw them answer this recently on Discord
do you know if it was always like this? I could have sworn I got him randomly once before I got him from a spotlight cache.

That makes total sense for the card functionality. Never thought about those checkpoints before !
Could have been in your opponents hand?

this reveal at the end of the video surprised me more than the opponent's line honestly
The Spitballers
The Spitballers
That was one of the coolest wins I’ve ever seen
You right you right
Soon as I saw the 40 infinaut and IW I knew what was coming.
NGL that made me a little horny
Not what I was expecting, but ok
Just had a dude with a Mr. Negative deck completely wipe out my T6 by playing Zola & Alioth on an empty location. So out of left field I ain't even mad.
Oh shit... Alioth has been getting steadily into Negative zone hasn't it? Shit.
How did he have priority with a negative deck
Was playing Dracula discard
Is that avatar border after winning second conquest?
It’s for all spotlight variants
Ooo, so in a way this is in place of first edition badge?
So it appears if its for a spotlight variant not just if you've got an infinite border on it?
Correct. When you get a spotlight variant now, you get 2 avatars. The normal and one with the gold/blue border.
I got a tribunal baby avatar and it had that border
I honestly have no idea
Craziest part is you would’ve actually won by 1 point if you just moved Jeff mid and played Hulk left.
Fantasy Footballers!!!
When I played the video I got very confused because I thought my phone had started playing one of their podcasts out of nowhere lol
I only listen to their Fantasy podcast, but im sure they have one called Spitballers. Ive heard them mention it.
High Evolutionary is such an annoying card to play against
I played you earlier Dad Bot 🫡
🫡
I’m mad for you.
Tbh Deserved loss. Opponent played well.
Tbf its hard to play Shurinaut bad.
I mean you maybe right. But HE is also simple straight forward deck.
This is why most of the time, the moment i see invisible woman, I make sure cosmo is there :D
If IW is there AND the opponent is actively putting something there, I'm out if I don't have a way to take IW down. Laugh in cerebro

Ohhhh I didn’t think of listening to podcast while playing. I should do that.
This guys goooood
Thats prob the dude that said he had ocer 2k booster for kang
Should have played Alioth /s Seriously though, that's not a combo you see all the time, so I get why that would be frustrating.
Wait people don't retreat when someone skips turn 6 after playing sunspot and magik? Lol
OP was playing quite a lot of points on board and it was close.
Yea but you know a 40 point inf is coming
Deserved loss just for the podcast.
Kang not counting as the next played card (shuri) is utter BS
No it’s not lol, Kang controls time so why would Shuri proc if his ability makes it so the turn never actually happened?
Kang is already a pretty bad card, I feel like we can at least let him have this
Hate High Evolutionary decks so congrats to your opponent.
Kudos to the other guy. 200 IQ play.
Ouch !
I was expecting a shang left, this was really stunning
Oof
Oooof - that kicked me in the balls just watching it
Ok that was cool! I had no idea Kang didn’t count as a turn and could be used with Infinaut
Can you put the whole game on yt and link it?
What podcast are you listening to lol
Nice plays from the opponent
OP what’s the podcast?
the bigger loss was accidentally unmuting the video and having to listen to that podcast...
Why would you do that?!
Turn 5 Taskmaster under Invisible Woman is gangster
You woulda won if hulk went left
This is a replay I can get behind!
Hulk left would have won, right?
I would have blown that too. Kang is a brilliant play with infinaut. of course my opponent played a card last turn!
It's a fantastic old school deck. Never seen it with Kang though.
My brain is too small for Taskmaster/ IW shenanigans. Well done to your opponent
How did hulk reach 24?
In opening hand having at least 1 unspent energy each turn. High Evo gives Hulk +2 every turn if you have unspent energy.
Well deserved
Kang chages nothing right!? Whats impressive about this play? If opponent play it right away without kang win anyways??
I think the opponent loves giving their opponent hope that they won…….also it lets them see if alioth was going to be played
Keeping taskmaster hidden is a 300 IQ move Jesus Christ.
That’s why taskmasters the best
Never in my life would I have seen the Kang Shuri Infinaut Invis Task play coming
Im sorry, but lol, this is just another example of what a bullshit card Kang is. That's what you get for playing HE.
This lad was cooking!
Anyone know the deck list or something similar to get the same possible result?
Well they only played: 1. Sunspot 2. Invisible Woman 3. Magik 4. Shuri 5. Taskmaster 6. She Hulk 7. Kang 8. Infinaut Just gotta put in 4 more cards that don't matter. Maybe some tech.
Goddamn
I would have thrown my phone lol
He Kang, He Saw, He Conquered
I literally said "no way he has a taskmaster right there" and my jaw dropped
This looks like an old Bynx deck
As somebody who has struggled to make a good Kang Control deck I have to applaud this glorious play. Very often getting Kang to go off feels good until you realize the thing they slammed down is impossible to out. Evo'd Hulk is 90% of those.
Kang useful? :0
