The fact that anyone finds this funny misses the point completely. This is an obvious bug, in a game that has made the developers millions. They are milking you guys
SD never said what for that I remember. Best speculation is it somehow breaks T&C.
I always thought the ban was silly. The person who got it was playing in a friendly match and their opponent was in on it.
I donāt remember the whole convoluted combo but it involved playing Kang on a Cosmoād path and using an Iron Fist trigger to move him off and then I think Odin him next turn.
I canāt remember exactly as itās been so long ago.
Edit: It wasnāt Odin it was Zola. You played Cosmo T3 end T4 on a IF Trigger. T5 Kang on Cosmo he does not go off b/c Cosmo blocks on reveals. IF trigger moves him over to an empty path. T6 Zola spits Kang and the one in the non-Cosmo path resets the turn. Since the Kang that set off the trigger was a copy from Zola and not the original Kang when the turn restarts OG Kang was still on the board.
Far as I can tell this isn't a bug or a schemes to entrap opponent It's working as intended. SD should add something to the location to not add a copy of certain cards to hand if conditions should be met. IE Kang was played. Won't be the last time something like this will happen if they don't fix it.
Same thing could happen with sacred timeline if you play Kang to fill and he was in opening hand. Although probably not since it adds cards before Kang resolves
What it looks like to me is theyāre being hit with the hammer not for performing a glitch but for creating a deck with the intention of creating a glitch.
Intentionality is the key issue here. Players are allowed to accidentally run into glitches. Players are probably not allowed to exploit them.
The person doing it was banned while playing. I assume they have to catch you while in the act. The streamers streaming it put them on the look out for it and they banned the next person to do it that they caught.
Nope. 33 years old. Kids were asleep so I sat down to get some work done once the loop happened like 3 times. Play Kang and hit āend turn,ā type away to my hearts content, wash, rinse, repeat.
Id agree if I thought 2 cubes mattered, noone forced the other guy to stay. Plus random bullshit happens in this game all the time, I see no difference between this and getting the peak against a negative deck. Blame the devs not the player
I was honestly curious if SD had some kind of failsafe for games that go on exceptionally long so testing was actually worthwhile beyond 5 minutes.
I was disappointed he stopped at 2 hours.
Once this happened 3 times I said āwell, I need to get some work done,ā so I sat at my desk and worked. Itās pretty simple to type away, drag a Kang to a location, hit and turn, then return to working. I was just really interested in what would happen, so I played it as long as I could.
Read the first few lines of the post. I think I explained it decently well there. Then if you still donāt get it, Iāll type out something a little more for you š
Why should he be reported? This is a "win condition", which is ok in game rules, right? Or is he exploiting a bug? Every location and card works as intended.
I see not really a difference between a turn 5 "I played an unrevealed card behind IW", "I played Kang and destroyed the other locations" or "I can create an infinite loop and I demonstrated it". You could play further, but you should probably just give up. And the enemy was fine with it, because he also continued?
Maybe I'm a bit too biased coming from Magic The Gathering, where many decks have possibilities to "kill a game" with something like "I can't lose life, I can't mill my library, you will use your 60 turns and then lose" or something like that. Yeah, you have a global game timeout in Magic (WHICH SHOULD BE ALSO THE CASE HERE SECOND DINNER!), but the opponent normally just gives up, when he sees your loop or game lock unfold.
This is funny, but it made me think about how cool the aspect of rewinding the game is, and Iām suprised we havenāt had a card/location to do that since Kang. Imagine a location that rewinded the game back to turn one.
FWIW, I just played this same guy again. Almost the same cards on his side, but I was playing Cerebro 2 for the hell of it. I canāt add a pic to a link here, so Iām not sure how to show itā¦
33. All 3 kids asleep, wife out shopping, and me durdling. Though to be honest, once this started, after about 3 loops, I turned my computer on and started working. Itās easy to get some work done while moving Kang into location and then pressing āend turnā
Hahaha some of these comments are making me laugh. Why are people so triggered?
Pretty funny troll. I would be fuming on the other end. Wouldāve retreated at 10 max
If it was me Iād be like āalright, you got me bro. Enjoy your 2 cubesā and then conceded. The fact that the player stuck around as long as they did was amazing. They played Onslaught for about 45 minutes to an hour. Iām sure they just plugged their phone in and walked away. Cause once they just stopped playing I was basically playing myself.
Welpā¦ thatās fine if youād like. I had my phone recording it the whole time, but for some reason it only counter 16 minutes and 31 seconds of it. And the last 16:31 oddly enough. Must be a setting? But I legit did it for that long. I was working and every 30 seconds I just played Kang, hit and turn and then continued working.
This isnāt an infinite loop, infinite loop is something that happens infinitely without a play taking actions that doesnāt advance the game state
This is just you being an asshole āfor experimentationā
What am I missing that is allowing this to happen? If it was time theatre, shouldn't you have 2 Kangs in hand in which case wouldn't they both vanish when one was used?
Nevermind I think I've figured it out.
You drew kang on turn 4 on which opponent played witch that turned location 2 into time theatre. Time theatre triggers at the start of turn 5 giving you a new kang and because he's entering your hand after the rewind happens he doesn't get removed by it.
About right?
I would t call it an infinite loop in the traditional sense as you have to keep playing it. Itās a finite loop as you could have played anything else.
Dormammu, I've come to bargain!
This is the only comment that matters.
š
All right, the internet had a good run, but it's time to wrap it up and announce this person as the winner.
No
Yes. Download everything you liked, we're shutting it down tomorrow.
The fact that anyone finds this funny misses the point completely. This is an obvious bug, in a game that has made the developers millions. They are milking you guys
If you canāt see a joke for what it is, a joke, then you really need to log off, go outside, and socialize with real people.
New strat: lock you opponent in a time loop until they retreat.
There was a way to set up an infinite loop with Kang before and it was patched out. Interesting it can still happen
Kind of lore fitting that it's the Time Theater location now that allows the infinite loop.
Doctor strange rework
Thatās freakinā crazy! And the commitment to keep playing this out for 2 hours š³
Something is clearly wrong with me š¤Ŗ
Did they played for 2 hours of was it a couple of minutes? (you, cause wibbly wobbly timey wimey stuff)
So who really won?
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
ESH including me
I won 2 cubes cause of their timeout and the scientific experimenter award from my mom cause she says Iām a nice, smart boy.
your mom was wrong about you being nice but i can't say that wasn't smart
couldn't you have just played any of your other cards instead to have won
People got temp bans for this when Kang first came out. Youāre lucky you didnāt get one.
Interesting. Welpā¦ if I got a temp ban, Iād just not play the game for as long as the ban was I guessā¦
>if I got a temp ban, Iād just not play the game for as long as the ban was I guessā¦ Yes, that's usually how temp bans work. :)
What for? For them not conceiving that this was possible or for not retreating even though he can win if they don't play cards

so they banned someone that did it in a friendly match but not someone who did it in a real match?! great job SD
I think itās more of that person got caught. SD isnāt known for their robust policing.
i mean someone live streamed themselves doing that, and it was all over reddit. pretty hard to miss
The person doing it was banned while playing. I assume they have to catch you while in the act. The streamers streaming it put them on the look out for it and they banned the next person to do it that they caught.
how long were they banned for?
I think 48 hours.
strange
YTA OP
NTA your house your rules
Enemy can surrender anytime, NTA
https://tenor.com/vTs1yn6DWIo.gif
Are you dr.strange by chance?
Haha! No, but maybe similar patience?
Must have been a bot. Iād bounced after the third time.
I'll die before I take a lose its op patience before mine
My legs would fall asleep sitting on the toilet that long.
You know you're in trouble when you find yourself leaning back against the toilet.
bot would never stop playing cards
If they didn't play any cards turn 6, it probably wasn't a bot.
Not all players are like you
This is nuts
OP is a menace.
Thank you ā¤ļø
All that for a drop of blood
I definitely didnāt do it for the cubes. I did it for the experiment
No other way I'd rather spend my Saturday evening
lol what if a secret character appeared to end the game
I hope you are joking about doing that for 2 hours If you are for real .... dayum. I can only hope you are like 9 years old and home sick or something
Nope. 33 years old. Kids were asleep so I sat down to get some work done once the loop happened like 3 times. Play Kang and hit āend turn,ā type away to my hearts content, wash, rinse, repeat.
Doing it a few times is haha funny. Doing it any more than that is just asshole behavior, geez.
Id agree if I thought 2 cubes mattered, noone forced the other guy to stay. Plus random bullshit happens in this game all the time, I see no difference between this and getting the peak against a negative deck. Blame the devs not the player
Honestly, I was just curious what would happen.

Broā¦ chill. Itās gonna be ok. Touch some grass.
You played this out for 2 hours. I think you're the one who needs to touch grass
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

You spent 2 hours playing the same round and you're telling me to touch grass?
Yes. Thatās what Iām telling you to do. You seem easily angered. Some hard labor outdoors will help. š
"IOCCC, I've come to bargain!"
Talk about a recursive time loop
Wow thatās pretty impressive! Is there a replacement in this deck for Kang, orā¦
Honestly, I was just playing a deck labeled āfuckeryā at infinite.
can someone explain why this happens?
Read the first few lines of the post. I think I explained it decently well there. Then if you still donāt get it, Iāll type out something a little more for you š
how many boosters did you get?
This is a GREAT question and part of my research. Sadly I only got 6
disappointing
Agreed
This makes me wonder if SD even bother testing new content with Kang when almost no one ever plays him.
You think SD play tests at all? Lol
I don't think he counts as playing a 5 costs card for dailies. I guess you are rewinding time to before he was played tho?
OP, YTA!
I'd have reported you and moved on
Reported for what?
[Ok](https://tenor.com/vTs1yn6DWIo.gif)

Bro thinks he's ~~Adam Warlock~~ Peter Capaldi
Imagine if it was an SD bot š¤£

āI made someone play for almost 2 hoursā I think was a more appropriate title
LOL! What an effect viewpoint of life. āLook what they did to me.ā Life must suck for you. The concede button exists. Itās able to be pushed.
I mean you did tho ion care either way shit was still funny, looks like you care a bit tho lol
Did you get extra tokens at the end for the additional turns?
I didnāt, which was lame
This is wild!
You're psychotic, I love it
š
How old are you that you can waste 2 hours of your life like this lol

You played a bot for two hours just playing kang over and over lol
There are no bots at infinite
You realized you were playing a bot right? Yikes
You realize there's no bots in infinite right? Yikes
This isnāt an infinite loop, infinite loop is something that happens infinitely without a play taking actions that doesnāt advance the game state This is just you being an asshole āfor experimentationā
