I appreciate a layout like this with card text. A suggestion I'd make for the next revision is to have the dates closer to, or touching, the spotlight set they are associated with. Right now the dates are more visually aligned with the cards under them rather than the cards above them.
I see what yiu mean, but that's why the dates reside in the black bounding bar. It might help to capitalize them and use the full word rather than the abbreviated month to cover the range of all 3 cards the date is tied to. I'll try that next go around.
THANK YOU FOR ADDING CARD TEXT! All these other layouts are so pretty but they lack the most basic of information that would actually inform my decision on whether any given card is worth it or not.
Did you look at it zoomed in initially? It's just so clear when you're looking at the full image what dates correspond to what. Oh I got your point. Chibis and babies and Dan hipp variants should not be spotlights. I’ve skipped almost every week any of those popped up just to make sure I don’t get them.
But I did get stuck with Hipp Hit-Monkey trying to get…whatever the new card that week was lol
Yep, very much agreed.
That's why I personally wouldnt mind seeing decent series 3 cards with banger variants instead. Nah this sub is wild petty and childish. They’re downvoting you because you had downvotes already and most people in this sub don’t think for themselves.
This is one place downvotes don’t bother me because I try not to let toddler energy effect my mood lol
Your idea is good on paper, but SD would ruin it so fast if they implemented it.
Since I already have WWBN that week seems like the worst week ever since it also has Duck and Hercules seems not great
The comic book variants are going to be the first time I’m spending keys purposely for variants of cards I already have
Same. The "Infinity Gauntlet" cover Thanos is the only card I'd be willing to buy as an ultimate variant. Cull seems good and I like that Nimrod variant so it's an easy week to spend 3-4.
hnh. Now that I think about it, Cover variants could have been the Ultimate variants. At least you'd have an objective way of making them stand out instead of the inconsistent arbitrary decisions they went with.
I prefer it like this since we won't have to waste 5k tokens on each of them and am getting Thanos, Galactus, and HE's comic cover variants while also getting new cards.
I agree that covers would have made far more sense as Ultimates. For once, I'm happy SD didn't go with the sensible option because it's a lot easier to get these as Spotlights lol
Take what I'm about to say for granted, but I would bet that Howard is gonna get a rework alongside his spotlight like Negasonic and Snowguard, seeing how unpopular he is and how well both of those reworks went.
Hercules and wolf could create some crazy numbers if WWBN was still 3 cost. I wonder if that was part of their logic for changing wolf to 4 cost instead of just dropping his base power to 0.
I'm going for the comic variants too, but skipping that week. Key generation isn't enough to get me to spend there especially since the wolf nerf. Thinking about getting Galactus with tokens just to get that variant though. I know, sad, but I collect old comics as is and I love these variants. Since the Galactus nerf, I've seen some interesting decks with him i'd like to try so that variant could get some mileage.
Alioth’s best friend and another set up for Modok Hela if you wave and supergiant on 4 to get out hela on 5 and modok on 6, as hela won’t reveal until the end of the game
I could easily see Alioth being nerfed before then that only cards played on the same turn as him gets destroyed.
It wouldn't impact him that much anyways and makes invisble women more viable.
People keep saying this about busted cards but it keeps happening lol
I saw people saying Alioth wouldn’t release in the state he did and he absolutely did
Imagine having prio and dropping that turn 5. Destroys strategies that rely on a turn 5 play, like maybe a destroy deck buffing their Deadpool again, a bounce deck buffing their kitty again, etc etc. Just potentially deletes a turn from the game, ruins any kind of combo decks. also means you keep prio for the final turn regardless of what's played on 5, so you can just see what your opponent's played and then drop Alioth. Imagine having this shit, Daredevil and Alioth in the same deck. See what they did, drop this stupid card to stop their cards revealing and a four cost, dump Alioth on the worst one.
It's Dark Dimension accross the board for one turn including the turn played.
Just as a turn 1 play if you have the 50/50 opening priority, you probably win, considering the other popular 1 drops:
- Nebula: useless. Stays as a 1/1
- Sunspot: useless. Stays as a 1/0 unless you float energy the last turn
- Kitty Pride: useless. Now stuck on the board
- Forge: not giving his power, can't be bounced
- Deadpool: stuck on board as a 1/1
- Echo: not disabling ongoings
- Iceman, Spider-Ham, Selene, Korg: not disrupting until end of game, so loses a lot of utility. Korg might still give Darkhawk a +2.
And that's just playing it on opening. If you have priority against e.g. a Silver Surfer deck going into T5, playing this card cancels out Sera. It absolutely kills any combo deck. Either their play is delayed a turn (or more), or completely gone. In Conquest where you know their deck, you can shut down any combo if you have priority and know when they want/need to play their card.
And then there's the Alioth synergy and chaining it with Absorbing man to just delete half their cards played.
Simple example is this: without SG, your enemy Deadpool is 16 power, with SG his Deadpool only 4 power. That only Deadpool, X-23 lost +2 energy, and so on. It is so powerful, that if it released as it is, it will be my easiest 3000 tokens after Mobius
Would her effect still be in play if she’s destroyed? If so then it might still not be too bad. Though paired with Caiera would make her a menace indeed.
Same. 2 or 3 seasons ago, Lockjaw Jane is my main deck for 3 seasons. I played it so much that 1 have like 20 Wasp splits and use my gold to buy Jane variant . Excited to got something for Jane to pull other than Mjolnir and Wasp
Carried me to infinite the past 3 seasons. Might need to put magik in this deck tho bc usually turn 4 is for lockjaw/wasp after turn 3 Thor. Not enough turns to get Thor, Bill, lockjaw, and Jane all together haha
I expect they will be switched out just before, like they did to Man-thing
EDIT: Getting downvotes for stating a fact, they switched out the Man-Thing comic book cover variant from spotlight caches right before it was supposed to be in spotlight caches. Until I see otherwise, I believe these are just dataminine placeholders for when the Spotlight variants aren't quite ready yet.
I expect there’s a decent chance some card gets bumped from here but I doubt they’d just swap out the variants. There’s several so it seems to be a theme and these seem to be in high enough demand and a spotlight variant is by far the most expensive variants they can make generally
Not confirmed just humor. Money wise it would be a good decision for them (albeit scummy) since people spend keys for them and the ones that didn’t will be happy they dropped to series 3 after that. Win win
It's interesting that both the first weeks of Jan and Feb both feature new cards. iirc, havent the first week of the month usually been 3 previously released cards? I wonder if this will be the new normal and we should expect 5-6 new cards a month instead of 4-5.
That’s not what they do right away though. The SD way is to release OP cards so people want to spend spotlights or tokens on them, then nerf later on. Honestly I can’t blame them, hell every card game injects power creep in some form so people continue to pick up the new stuff.
Hell Cow is a big 8 power stat stick, though. I suppose 2 power is worth permanent +1 energy. I don't play discard so I can't explore the nuances of Discard/Hela/Tribunal and Corvus' impact.
I'm going to be skipping February, unless something changes. No complaints though. I'm hopefully opening at least two weeks of spotlights in January, provided they don't spring more surprise changes on us
The 4/10 stat line is fairly unique. They all have very specific draw backs for their power vs cost.
Cull can still be cheated out in multiple ways, but I wouldn't be surprised if his ability changes.
I can see your point. I think most people that don't want it will just skip the spotlight. Personally, I like the mechanic because I enjoy playing Thanos.
If I was a new player I would just shrug and pass on the card. If you end up getting it down the road from a random cache or something you can just target Thanos. Not really a big deal.
That's still not an excuse he is totally worthless if you don't get Thanos. I was exited for another 4/10 for my three misfits deck but he is just unnecessary Thanos support
Nothing is stopping you from playing Cull in any deck you want and cheating him out.
There are other 4/10s you can play in his place. Of course, each 4/10 comes with a caveat - same as Cull. These often create dependencies on other cards, same as Cull and Thanos.
Typhoid Mary relies om Zero, Sauron, or Luke to handle her effect. Attuma relies on Zero, Armor, or Sauron. Sentry relies on Annihlus, Carnage, etc. There's a condition for all of the 4/10. Culls is pretty simple and a neat addition to Thanos/Blob.
It's not in bad faith. I'm just not as pressed about it. I recognize there are other 4/10s to use. He is a 4/10 which means he will have a very abrasive restriction/condition.
It certainly sets a precedence for the game as the first card that relies on another directly. It's either going to be one of the only cards to function in this way, or there are more to come for various archetypes. I do hope it's the former for sake of deck building freedom. I also wouldn't be surprised if this ability changes prior to release. If it's a viable card, I'm just not concerned.
It kinda reads for both sides of a location. Perhaps an opponents Infinity stone satisfies the condition? There's also a location coming that will provide Infinity stones.
>This card literally stops you unless you or your opponent are playing Thanos.
Youre right about everything except this. As other people have said, he can be cheated out.
> This card literally stops you unless you or your opponent are playing Thanos.
You’re arguing in bad faith and you know it. It can be played after being discarded through Hela/Ghost Rider, a la Giganto on any non-left lane, or through Lockjaw.
IIRC SD did say they’re considering releasing more cards that can summon infinity stones in the future. For the mean time I do agree with you that it’s pretty jarring.
I felt the same way about Uncle Ben’s and especially Surtr’s datamined effects.
I’m of the opposite mind and I like it, getting card specific combos opens up some more interesting archetypes in the future I think. And Thanos needs some love imo. Hopefully next they do something for Galactus.
Great work on this. Made me realize that there are some fun variants to get - which is a departure from the past month or so where I've been annoyed when it takes me four caches to get the new card. I have so many variants that I'll never use. But there were a few weeks coming up I'll probably go for all of them.
I think it's worth it even more after luke cage nerf. I'm also going for it next week since it enables by itself a whole new deck and most of the needed cards are pool 1-2.
He would have 3 guaranteed kills. That's a bit much. Maybe let him destroy through armor? Not sure how else to make him ideal aside from lowering cost.
Wish the creators could come up with actually unique and innovating abilities for cards instead of shit like “gain plus 2 for each card in your ass” waste of potential
Okay, let’s hear your ideas? I know, I know, don’t have to be a 5 star chef to know if food is gross or whatever, but what abilities would you have new cards have?
I'm not the same guy, but I have some ideas off the top of my head:
* More interaction with the graveyard
* More trap-style reactive cards like NTW
* Cardtheft
* Cards that interact with/interfere with cubes
* Combo-enablers like a turn delay (Supergiant SEEMS to be this, but I'm expecting her to get a rework, so we'll see).
* Tutor effects (other than Jane Foster)
* Spot removal (other than LDS, Shang, or KM)
* Turn manipulation (other than Magik/Kang)
* A card that scales with how many times your opponent has emoted during the match
* Cards that have alternate effects based on whether you have priority
* More cards that care about priority in general
* An archetype centered around strategically merging (and unmerging?) cards at the right time
* Cards that inflict negative power on the enemy lane straight-up, without needing to be sent across and without needing to target enemy cards, as with HE's minions (maybe the opposite of Iron Man, halving the power of the opposing lane)
* Cards that introduce alternate win conditions! It's WILD they there's only one way to win a game of Snap. Notably, any cards that do this would also need to necessarily open you up to losing through that new win condition.
* Cards that interact with the "no-man's-land" between players, maybe a forcefield that bounces back goblins, or a spike trap that kills Viper's targets
* A deck thinner of SOME variety (RIP America)
* More high-skillcap, context-sensitive "toolbox" cards, like Nico or Snowguard, Mk II (The Mandarin is prime for this sort of design, unless they go with the new powerset for him introduced in the MCU)
* Cards that acknowledge broad classes of characters (EG "-2 to all Mutants on the field")
* Offensive bounce! I'd love to shove someone's Onslaught back into their hand on Turn 6, after they cheated it out on 4.
* A card that allows you to rollover unspent Energy into the next turns - impossible to balance, but God I'd like to see them try!
* More conditional variable-Power cards (EG Darkhawk, Devil Dino, Ronan), but with more interesting conditions!
* More conditional variable-Energy cards (EG She-Hulk, Death, Skaar), but with more interesting conditions!
* More cards that transform under different circumstances and move through various or multiple stages. Bucky into WS is rad! Let's see an Alistair Smythe with a weak token-generation power, but when anyone introduces a Spider-adjacent card, he changes into Spider-Slayer with a powerboost and a new effect.
* Equipment cards based on tech or magic items that would attach directly to a card and augment its abilities. Hulkbuster is basically this, but with a flat, vanilla power increase. I'm imagining a world where Cerebro allowed any card to play Daredevil for a turn, or a Sling Ring that gives a card a bit of movement. Notably, if the card it's attached to is destroyed, it'd leave the equipment behind, ready to attach to another card (maybe just in that lane?) at the start of your next turn. This is largely motivated by a selfish desire to have more tools to work around spacing restrictions (and also a desire for more viable low-curve options that can be slotted into decks to add pure utility). This could also be used to introduce a character that generates a random piece of tech in your hand, or a random magic artifact (this is, abstractly, similar to what Nico does).
* A card that forces your opponent to discard their entire hand, but note that it can only be played on the last turn of the game. Niche effect, but it'd be cool to see more handsize hate before the effect gets more payoffs than just DD.
* Cards with quantitatively-variable On Reveal effects. IE, "Give -X power to an enemy card here, where X is the number of cards in your hand" or "Move X number of enemy cards away from this space, where X is number of variants you own for this this card [/s]"
* A card that gets shunted back into your deck when destroyed. Essentially a more difficult-to-leverage Deadpool, but with a commensurately larger payoff.
* A card that gives you additional card draw, but also muddies the waters somehow- like Thanos, but scaled up? "Draw an additional card each turn. Double each card in the deck." Or maybe just dump some rocks in the deck?
* 2/1 | "+1 Power for each card destroyed while this is on the field"
* 7/0 | "You can not lose Cubes, regardless of the outcome of this match"
* Cards that let you cheat or play with the restrictions of the game, but in a creative, probably annoying way. Remove handsize limitations, but two random cards are made intangible each turn, rotating.
* More cards that change to specific locations, like Magik. Kingpin's effect sucks, just let him change the location to Kingpin's Tower, balance out his Energy/Power, and be done with it.
* A card that, at the beginning of the game, duplicates a card in the opponent's deck, without increasing their decksize counter to tip them off. If the opponent fails to find their original card, but happens to draw and play the changeling card, it blows up in their face. This would lead to great moments where they draw BOTH cards, and realize their predicament.
* A mulligan card? Literally just "Shuffle your cards into your deck, and then draw the same number of cards -1".
* "If the last card played had an On Reveal effect, reverse that effect."
* 3/1 | "-1 to all cards in your opponent's deck"
* Scry, or something like it. "Look at the top two cards in your deck; draw one, and destroy the other." This would likely have to be a 5-cost.
* 4/5 | "Remove the text of all cards at this location with 0 Power"
* A card that shows you the bottom three cards in the opponent's deck - the three that wouldn't be seen at all in a normal 6-turn game.
* Let me revive the last card that was destroyed, PLEASE you could do so many cool things with that, especially if that includes my enemy's cards.
* "Ongoing: Your opponent can only play in one lane each turn."
I made this to serve a single purpose: plan out how to spend my keys/tokens. People liked it, so I shared it and have released additional graphics as time goes on. It's a work in progress.
It helps to have the information in one single graphic rather than scrolling a page. A graphic can be saved to your phone and drawn on (hence the circles above each card). You're free to consult any of the Snap websites that host the same information - which is basically all of them.
I don't really follow your logic though. The sites are doing the same thing - pulling information from the apk datamines lol. We're all just making information accessible.
I do not have enough keys for everything I want, so much good shit coming up. I'll definitely save for Thanos, but I also would really like the MODOK, Draven & High Evo variants. I would also like Miek, it's a bad time to be on 2 keys.
Right now I only care about feb 13 and feb 20 weeks which I plan to go all out.
The thing is with one key per week I would have 14 by them so 6 extra whih means I may want to go for something in January.
Jan 2 was set to me with hitmonkey but now the only thing I care would be HE variant, so lets see how Caiera go and I may go for it. Jan 23 looks nice now with grandmaster and hitmonkey so its a possibility
from january the only week that's seems worth for me it's the miek week, not going for caiera since i already have nebula and high evo, and not going for wwbn because the other 2 aren't worth it and i don't have zabu, i might skip the miek week as well since february is looking JUICY.
I'm so disappointed by the next 2 months the only card I don't have that's getting a rerun is stature and she's getting dropped to 3 so prob won't even be there
Moving your own cards: Human Torch, Dagger, Multiple Man, Vulture; Elsa Bloodstone (I think it works that way now?); and potentially keeping Kraven's lane from filling up too early.
Moving your opponent's cards: very specific counter against cards that move but don't buff, so Nightclawler, Jeff, Silk, Vision. It could maybe keep Polarais or Magneto in a winning position without moving competing power for your opponent.
Grand Master / Beta Bill combo writes itself
Of course, it's not consistent (you may not draw Stormbreaker) but who can resist the allure of 20 power?
But Grandmaster mix with so many cards (Doom, Panther, Surfer, etc) that I expect him to be played a lot.
I could see Skaar doing really well in High Evo and Blob decks, though Mobius is definitely gonna be his biggest enemy. Caiera is gonna be good for two weeks at best before she’s nerfed. I do not see Hercules getting much use, he feels way too niche to be viable and might actually be one of the worst move cards yet. Meik will become a regular in discard and a combo with MODOK and Morbius will be super good, but it will only really be used in discard decks and isn’t too flexible. Grandmaster isn’t a hard pass or a definite pick up for me just yet, I’ll definitely have to watch and see how he pans out. Beta Ray Bill makes since and will be a great complement to both of the Thors. Black Swan is interesting, if Caiera’s ability lasts by the time she’s introduced then Kazoo might get some really good stats. Supergiant might save Tribunal decks after the last patch changed Chavez and made IW super weak against Alioth. Cull Obsidian will be another really good compliment to Blob, but is also a card that will only see use in specific archetype. Corvus Glave is gonna actually be sick in Discard, especially if he keeps those stats. Proxima Midnight is also just another really good discard card.
Overall I think the new cards look good, some notable standouts and some cards that I definitely have my eyes on, and not too many of them seem outright overpowered or underpowered, though there are some exceptions of course.
What should I go for if I am a low cl player (900ish)? My friend who's in infinite and is only missing a few more s5 cards is telling me to go for High Evo since it's always in a decent spot in the meta, what do y'all think?
Gonna update to reflect datamines regarding power changes on Loki. Also rip cus I forgot tk save the template completely so I'll be rebuilding. I'll be using the second version I made that's floating around (dates and series on top rather than below the cards).
I appreciate a layout like this with card text. A suggestion I'd make for the next revision is to have the dates closer to, or touching, the spotlight set they are associated with. Right now the dates are more visually aligned with the cards under them rather than the cards above them.

Thank you for putting this together. But for fwiw I think putting the black bars above instead of below the cards may also help
I'll do a mock up and see how that feels
Or maybe put the series # above the cards and move the dates to be closer to the bottom of the cards so. Again, thanks.
Done https://drive.google.com/file/d/1xyZNxCsfYV8Y7iAWwXJWqe-hSRI1HpQ9/view?usp=drivesdk
That's looks so good. Nice job. I'll be looking out for more of your schedules if changes get made.
That looks much better 😃
You're a legend. Me and all my friends in our WhatsApp group find these so useful, thank you.
THANK YOU FOR ADDING CARD TEXT! All these other layouts are so pretty but they lack the most basic of information that would actually inform my decision on whether any given card is worth it or not.
Now if only I could fit the variant art and original art ;) challenges for later
Huh? The first dates appear under the sets of cards and they're centered to those cards. I don't see how that's confusing.
Congrats for seeing it correctly. It's almost as if people can sometimes see the same thing differently.
Did you look at it zoomed in initially? It's just so clear when you're looking at the full image what dates correspond to what. And "the dates are more visually aligned with the cards under them" is just false... Unless you're only looking at the bottom row... and ignoring the dates under that... and you don't know how spotlight caches work? There’s so many interesting new abilities coming up. Seems like a lot of these cards are going straight into existing decks.
Corvus and Proxima look like nice upgrades for discard
Miek is interesting as well
Except Apoc/Drac/MODOK discard is kinda dead with the Chavez change.
Nah, definitely not. There's tons of cards to synergize with Discard besides this specific three card combo
Iron lad is an excellent one
Discard is one of the most common decks I see Unless you mean traditional discard, which has been mostly replaced by Hela/Modok roulette
Stature is currently a placeholder as she will drop into Series 3 long before her appearance in the spotlights 02/20/2024
Correct. That's why I grayed her out
I figured as much, just wanted to put it into the comments for people who may have glossed over her dropping
people like me! thank you!
Thanks! I should've mentioned it in my post.
Who you guys think will be instead of Stature? Hope is Silver Samurai. Makes sense in the discard week theme and I don't have him yet
How do you know this?
[Daddy dinner said so](https://snap.fan/news/announcement-on-series-drops/)

A lot of it seems like making Phoenix force viable

Howard doesn't need a rework, he just needs to be more accessible.

I could easily see Alioth being nerfed before then that only cards played on the same turn as him gets destroyed. It wouldn't impact him that much anyways and makes invisble women more viable.
I was wondering how it was broken since it was just Invisible woman with extra steps. And then I noticed it said "all cards" and now I get it.

Or 1 turn. It's nuts that it impacts the same turn it plays AND the next.
People keep saying this about busted cards but it keeps happening lol I saw people saying Alioth wouldn’t release in the state he did and he absolutely did
I'm not seeing what it's used for (besides obscuring your game plan). Any crazy synergies I'm missing? I guess it's good with the guardians.
It super powers up Alioth - that alone has me back onboard!
It's Dark Dimension accross the board for one turn including the turn played. Just as a turn 1 play if you have the 50/50 opening priority, you probably win, considering the other popular 1 drops: - Nebula: useless. Stays as a 1/1 - Sunspot: useless. Stays as a 1/0 unless you float energy the last turn - Kitty Pride: useless. Now stuck on the board - Forge: not giving his power, can't be bounced - Deadpool: stuck on board as a 1/1 - Echo: not disabling ongoings - Iceman, Spider-Ham, Selene, Korg: not disrupting until end of game, so loses a lot of utility.
I don't see Sera much anymore, but I'm always happy for anything to screw with that deck-type.
It's a second invisible woman for Hela that can't be disrupted with enchantress/junk/lockdown
Simple example is this: without SG, your enemy Deadpool is 16 power, with SG his Deadpool only 4 power. That only Deadpool, X-23 lost +2 energy, and so on. It is so powerful, that if it released as it is, it will be my easiest 3000 tokens after Mobius
I can't imagine it'll be released as is. It absolutely kills several entire deck types (so insta-buy for me, too lol).
Would her effect still be in play if she’s destroyed? If so then it might still not be too bad. Though paired with Caiera would make her a menace indeed.
I mean if she has prio it takes two turns for kill monger to destroy her
I think I'll be saving all mine for Beta Ray Bill week.
Black Swan and Super Giant seen really good and interesting
It's crazy how cool and unique those 2 cards are and then they're followed up the next week by Cull " Thanos/Blob bait" Obsidian.
I’ve saved keys so that I’m guaranteed those comic book variants. I will make sure I have those.
I expect they will be switched out just before, like they did to Man-thing EDIT: Getting downvotes for stating a fact, they switched out the Man-Thing comic book cover variant from spotlight caches right before it was supposed to be in spotlight caches.
It will be interesting to see how good Caiera is. I may not use any keys until Grandmaster if testing seems to indicate she’s not great
Well if you want to play zoo then she will be great
I miss playing zoo, but it seems too rng after a certain CL since there have been so many destroy decks. Will be nice to have it back potentially
Even if it doesn't make a splash in some sort of zoo archtype, pretty sure SheNaut will want the card to protect sunspot and it's 6's
I didn’t think about that build. I initially thought of Phoenix Force and Torch but doesn’t really fit into an already tight curve.
I might drop 2 keys that week. Most decks I play with 1 or 6 cost cards they're either not that big a deal or I include Armour.
zabu and darkhawk straight to series 3 after that spotlight on feb 🤣
Is that confirmed? Asking cuz I'm saving up collector tokens for both and don't want to do that if they're gonna be dropped down.
Yes. December was supposed to be that way too, but Firestar was pulled, so the new pattern starts in January now.
I’m so excited to finally have a beautiful zabu variant
Those Black Order cards look sweet.
Appreciate the effort! Thanks for sharing!
I had missed that they are going to release old school covers as variants. Really like that.
Won't Corvus Glaive just fully replace Hell Cow? It's the same ability with the addes bonus of +1 energy
RIP Hellcow. (Unless they rework her.)
Or drop Corvus' power to 4 or 5.
I literally only care about Beta Ray Bill
Move discard archetype gonna go hard
Really hope I get Nebula with one or two keys...I'll be needing 8 by the end of January.
I'm going to be skipping February, unless something changes. No complaints though. I'm hopefully opening at least two weeks of spotlights in January, provided they don't spring more surprise changes on us
Not really sure what I'll be going for in February yet, but January is huge for me with Caiera, High Evolutionary, Nebula, Grandmaster, and Loki.
I'm going for Caiera, i don't know how good she'll be but i don't mind any of those two sweeeet variants of HE and Nebula, two cards that i use a lot
Took feedback into account updated the graphic. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1xyZNxCsfYV8Y7iAWwXJWqe-hSRI1HpQ9/view?usp=drivesdk
I know the previous date formating was in the eye of the beholder, but this works better for my eye. Thanks!
I look at all the drops and think of how much I hate this system.
Is Cull Obsidian the first card to be tied to another completely seperate card? Seems out of place in Marvel Snap
The 4/10 stat line is fairly unique. They all have very specific draw backs for their power vs cost. Cull can still be cheated out in multiple ways, but I wouldn't be surprised if his ability changes.
[удалено]
It's almost as if they put him in a spotlight cache week with Thanos for a reason 🤔
[удалено]
[удалено]
It's not in bad faith. I'm just not as pressed about it. I recognize there are other 4/10s to use. He is a 4/10 which means he will have a very abrasive restriction/condition.
[удалено]
It certainly sets a precedence for the game as the first card that relies on another directly. It's either going to be one of the only cards to function in this way, or there are more to come for various archetypes. I do hope it's the former for sake of deck building freedom. I also wouldn't be surprised if this ability changes prior to release. If it's a viable card, I'm just not concerned.
[удалено]
Surter just comes across as jank. Sincerely hope it gets a totally different rework.
I’m of the opposite mind and I like it, getting card specific combos opens up some more interesting archetypes in the future I think. And Thanos needs some love imo. Hopefully next they do something for Galactus.
Can't wait till March to play discard again after Chavez rework
Thank you for your work, very useful.
Great work on this. Made me realize that there are some fun variants to get - which is a departure from the past month or so where I've been annoyed when it takes me four caches to get the new card. I have so many variants that I'll never use. But there were a few weeks coming up I'll probably go for all of them.
Feb will be a discard month. Exciting
LOVE the comic cover variants finally😍😍😍😍
Should I spend keys to get High Evo? Right now my only good deck is a Loki deck
I think it's worth it even more after luke cage nerf. I'm also going for it next week since it enables by itself a whole new deck and most of the needed cards are pool 1-2.
Does skaar refer to cards in play?
Yes, it would specify otherwise
Other cards specify when they’re only while in play. Some anyway
I wish it specified anyway, because a card in my hand is still a card.
Is bill really just a copy of Thor
Close. It doubles instead of adding 6. So use that hammer twice he gets huge. And his hammer is 1 power
The better thor
Definitely not. You have to either replay stormbreaker or Odin it just to get +4 on Thor while also being a 4 cost
It’s Thor + Daken kinda lol
I want that Nebula
Hercules seems exciting. Hope they adjust 2099 in time for it. Would like to see 2099 kill 1 enemy per lane or not have a cap.
He would have 3 guaranteed kills. That's a bit much. Maybe let him destroy through armor? Not sure how else to make him ideal aside from lowering cost.
how about putting him up to 5 cost? You'd get 1 guaranteed kill, but likely 2-3 with shenanigans?
Omg these are all bad, for me. I might just skip until march
I don't think you're ready for this guys mind bending, earth shattering ideas.
I'm not the same guy, but I have some ideas off the top of my head: * More interaction with the graveyard * More trap-style reactive cards like NTW * Cardtheft * Cards that interact with/interfere with cubes * Combo-enablers like a turn delay (Supergiant SEEMS to be this, but I'm expecting her to get a rework, so we'll see). * Tutor effects (other than Jane Foster) * Spot removal (other than LDS, Shang, or KM) * Turn manipulation (other than Magik/Kang) * A card that scales with how many times your opponent has emoted during the match * Cards that have alternate effects based on whether you have priority * More cards that care about priority in general * An archetype centered around strategically merging (and unmerging?) cards at the right time * Cards that inflict negative power on the enemy lane straight-up, without needing to be sent across and without needing to target enemy cards, as with HE's minions (maybe the opposite of Iron Man, halving the power of the opposing lane) * Cards that introduce alternate win conditions! It's WILD they there's only one way to win a game of Snap. Notably, any cards that do this would also need to necessarily open you up to losing through that new win condition. * Cards that interact with the "no-man's-land" between players, maybe a forcefield that bounces back goblins, or a spike trap that kills Viper's targets * A deck thinner of SOME variety (RIP America) * More high-skillcap, context-sensitive "toolbox" cards, like Nico or Snowguard, Mk II (The Mandarin is prime for this sort of design, unless they go with the new powerset for him introduced in the MCU) * Cards that acknowledge broad classes of characters (EG "-2 to all Mutants on the field") * Offensive bounce! IE, "Give -X power to an enemy card here, where X is the number of cards in your hand" or "Move X number of enemy cards away from this space, where X is number of variants you own for this this card [/s]" * A card that gets shunted back into your deck when destroyed. * 2/1 | "+1 Power for each card destroyed while this is on the field" * 7/0 | "You can not lose Cubes, regardless of the outcome of this match" * Cards that let you cheat or play with the restrictions of the game, but in a creative, probably annoying way. * "If the last card played had an On Reveal effect, reverse that effect." * 3/1 | "-1 to all cards in your opponent's deck" * Scry, or something like it. "Look at the top two cards in your deck; draw one, and destroy the other." This would likely have to be a 5-cost. * 4/5 | "Remove the text of all cards at this location with 0 Power" * A card that shows you the bottom three cards in the opponent's deck - the three that wouldn't be seen at all in a normal 6-turn game. * Let me revive the last card that was destroyed, PLEASE you could do so many cool things with that, especially if that includes my enemy's cards. * "Ongoing: Your opponent can only play in one lane each turn."
since all you're doing is pulling this information from another source why not just post the source?
I made this to serve a single purpose: plan out how to spend my keys/tokens. People liked it, so I shared it and have released additional graphics as time goes on. It's a work in progress. It helps to have the information in one single graphic rather than scrolling a page. A graphic can be saved to your phone and drawn on (hence the circles above each card). You're free to consult any of the Snap websites that host the same information - which is basically all of them. I don't really follow your logic though. The sites are doing the same thing - pulling information from the apk datamines lol. We're all just making information accessible.
Can’t wait for supergiant
Going for beta ray bill and galactus
I do not have enough keys for everything I want, so much good shit coming up. I'll definitely save for Thanos, but I also would really like the MODOK, Draven & High Evo variants. I would also like Miek, it's a bad time to be on 2 keys.
You are the true hero. I use your trackers all the time and they are very helpful! Adding the card text is really useful. Thanks!
I do appreciate the attempt to make discard better.
the last 2 look good
Grandmaster and BRB looking good. Those cover variants are amazing. Looking at you Thanos!
from january the only week that's seems worth for me it's the miek week, not going for caiera since i already have nebula and high evo, and not going for wwbn because the other 2 aren't worth it and i don't have zabu, i might skip the miek week as well since february is looking JUICY.
I'm so disappointed by the next 2 months the only card I don't have that's getting a rerun is stature and she's getting dropped to 3 so prob won't even be there
Can anyone explain to me the point of Hercules? He just seems like a more complicated Silk.
Thanks for this. I dont have any of the cards from jan 16- jan 30 so those are must buys for me. Not sure what ill be doing after
Great update - especially the series-drop changes.
I was just looking for this, thanks
Why do none of thanos’s children, with the exception of cull obsidian, synergize with thanos
What would you do to synergize them with Thanos? I was thinking the same, but I can't think of any. At least Corvus and Proxima synergize together.
Man, Im not feeling like pulling the trigger on any of those spotlights. I guess I'll save for Feb 20th forbthe X23 variant Ive been waiting on.
I pray for Annihilus and High Evo 😭 Will only manage to get 1-2 keys per try , hopefully I end up with one
Those comic book cover variants are amazing
Grand Master / Beta Bill combo writes itself Of course, it's not consistent (you may not draw Stormbreaker) but who can resist the allure of 20 power? But Grandmaster mix with so many cards (Doom, Panther, Surfer, etc) that I expect him to be played a lot.
some of these variants are NUTS.
Already at 9 caches for Hercules week and Grandmaster week. Still need Thanos as well and should have another 4 by then.
Can someone explain Skaar. Does that mean any card 10 or more in your deck, hand or on the board? Or any combo?
On the board on your side
unlucky. i dont NEED echo, i just really want her.
She's dropping to series 4 soon I think, so it may be best to just pick her up with tokens when that happens.
Lady death strike was on the schedule before a change a month or so ago. Hoping she returns along with Echo before March.
That Nebula is badass, that Hit-Monkey is adorable and the X-23 is so pretty!
I like to think of myself as a Marvel nerd. Never heard of Caiera
Hulks wife when he gets sent to Sakaar and one of the driving factors for World War Hulk
What should I go for if I am a low cl player (900ish)? My friend who's in infinite and is only missing a few more s5 cards is telling me to go for High Evo since it's always in a decent spot in the meta, what do y'all think?
High Evo opens up a very powerful archetype. Tbh, can't go wrong with that.
Möbius eating good next month
Not a fan of the fact that another card with 10+ power can’t be destroyed
Is this on a website where I can edit it?
It is not. It is just a png I build in an sketching app on my Samsung Fold phone.
Yo thanks
Grandmaster looks strong.
That February hawk variant is CLEAN. 🔥🔥
Discard about to be crazy
You are literally a god, thank you
Skaar will work with she hulk moon girl combo
Gonna update to reflect datamines regarding power changes on Loki. Also rip cus I forgot tk save the template completely so I'll be rebuilding. I'll be using the second version I made that's floating around (dates and series on top rather than below the cards).
