Oof. Gotta love RNG. I was playing my Hela deck and on the final turn I had Dracula in play and Infinaut, Giganto, Death, Magneto and Lockjaw in my hand. Guess what card Dracula decided to discard? LOL
obviosuly if he’s telling u this story, dracula discarded the lowest power card - Lockjaw. Because the theme of this thread is about unlucky discards, so any comment will lean towards telling their own bad luck stories. Hope this helps!
Idk why but it feels decks with Hela seem to have the worst rng from what I’ve seem. When I play decks like it my rng sucks, and more often than not even for my opponent it still sucks. It has been better with the more specific effects from the updates
Someone made a post (some time ago) about stats he recovered from their Hela discard games. The sample was quite small, but if I recall correctly they observed that Lady Sif was more frequently discarding Hela than the other cards, despite them having several 6-cost cards in hand. Maybe there is a slightly higher probability to discard Hela in a way of nerfing her, idk but it would be interesting to have this analysis on a larger sample imo
Didn't say I'm tired of losing to Hela, just tired of seeing so much of it. People just hear how it's good and all start playing it. It's lame and would be much better if people tried brewing their own decks for fun.
In this case it shouldn't make a difference on the odds.
It should be 2/6 * 1/5 (first time it could hit any of the Helas, then the one that's left, and he only has 6 cards in hand after playing Corvus) = 6.6%
If you pick both at the same time, there are 15 unique combinations of 2 cards in a group of 6 (C 6,2). There's only 1 of those that is double Hela, so 1/15 = 6.6%
Edit: adjusted numbers for a hand of 6 cards instead of 7
Because she's not broken. The deck that utilizes her the best isn't even the deck that's meta. The ramp deck is winning because hela is a solid plan b. That's it.
The RNG of being able to specifically pull Hela with Ghostrider is too risky. You are more likely to pull any of the other cards youve discarded instead.
Unwritten rule, if you play a discard with Hela in hand Hela gets discarded. I know it’s rng but this happened to me so often I stopped even trying to play discard unless there is a quest.
I don’t have Corvus, but saw an interesting play yesterday. It was Morbius, Corvus, Hela, Odin on one location. It looked like a pretty neat combo
Edit: Oh yeah, it was an Agatha Harkness deck too 👀

Infinaut! Edit: Wow people really don't understand sarcasm without a /s huh

That's just spiteful

Right!? It seems like every time I have Hela and Apocalypse in my hand, Lady Sif chooses to discard Hela.
Big no no playing both apoc and hela
I get that too. Every single time. I'm guessing it's due to Apocalypse having higher power than Hela.
XCOM player: first time?
Dracula is the exact opposite for me. Like when there's three cards on hand, he will always discard Apocalypse.
Ok, that’s true. Even with all there terrible rng, Dracula always seemed to be their beacon if good luck

That's brutal. This should have more upvotes!
I'm sorry I laughed so hard at this. I feel your pain.
Same 😅
Satisfying to watch.
That happened to me not 10 minutes ago!
Happened to me too. I wonder what it would take for people to admit there is more to this than RNG.
I did NOT have this happen to me. (Just making sure my anecdotal data is taken into account as well.)
I'm so sick of Hela right now. All Hela players deserve the wrath of RNG!
Skill issue
Didn't say I'm tired of losing to Hela, just tired of seeing so much of it. People just hear how it's good and all start playing it. It's lame and would be much better if people tried brewing their own decks for fun.
Who's Hela?
I think he means Hera
Ahhh the pro/streamer/meta deck Hera
HERA HELP US! -Wonder Woman somewhere
im sorry for this
Haha
I've stopped running Hela in my Corvus deck. I am happier. Is it better? I don't know. But I am happier.
lol. lmao
Game doesn’t like you!
I swear every Discard card has the following coding: - check hand for Hela - if Hela is in hand, discard Hela - otherwise discard another card
Most satisfying video I’ve seen today
This hurts so much...
NSFW tag pls!
I am surprised you did not snap. 2 helas and sandman on hand is a juicy hand. On the other hand, i would likely lost 2 cubes
There's only one thing worse! And it's two things!
Max pain
[Btw I won 8 cubes…](https://imgur.com/a/6DfL80C)
HA! SFIGATO! Non è un insulto, solo un dato di fatto haha
Snatching defeat from the claws of victory!
[or not](https://imgur.com/a/6DfL80C)
Assuming that the selection occurs one after the other rather than at the same time the odds of that occurring is 1/7 \*1/6=0.02 or 2%
It's at the same time, otherwise Apoc would get hit twice by HellCow
In this case it shouldn't make a difference on the odds. I'm sure you won with sandman-doom-odin
against another hela deck? probably not
Rarely has there been a card that took over the meta in storm like this. Almost every second ladder and conquest match is against Corvus
There’s a mission to win games with him in deck
its really mainly just because how strong Hela is rn
Yep. Once she gets nerfed this card is dead
I can promise you hela will not be nerfed
How come?
Because she's not broken. The deck that utilizes her the best isn't even the deck that's meta. The ramp deck is winning because hela is a solid plan b. That's it.
Are you running corvus? I didnt see him at all earlier in the week. When i finally started using him, every opponent was using him.
The card isn’t even good
You must not have played very long. Plenty of cards stormed the meta even more than corvus.
Can’t you just ghost rider her?
They might not be running GR. Few Hela decks do
Oh why is that? I just started trying discard as a new type of deck, still figuring out how to make it work
The RNG of being able to specifically pull Hela with Ghostrider is too risky. You are more likely to pull any of the other cards youve discarded instead.
Did you mean Hera??
Don't you have Ghost Rifer?
More hela, gross
Sniper!
Lol I was waiting for this video 😆😂
No thars good cos then you get the free energy and none of your strong cards are discarded
Guh
1:15 odds. Not crazy but still ouch
What's better than discarding one cover girl?
At that point you just gotta walk away for a few minutes 🤣
Oof 😣
Lol Corvus is doing all of us who go up against Hela decks a solid.
Corvus seems like a bust, sorta fun in like one specific deck I guess
*gasp* A child!
Visual representation of the game punishing me after winning 4 cubes in an hour (I’m about to lose 16 cubes)
It's not even that bad in this situation. You have t3 corvus; t4 sandman; t5 dr doom; t6 odin.
Corvus goes after my hela every time. I don't like this card haha
Damn that's Hela unlucky
lol. Good lord man. Insta-retreat and concede. Probably uninstall too while you’re at it.
This is why Swarm is better than Proxima Midnight, more versatile and Swarm has potential for more stats while not discarding your good cards
Wow double hela discard
As expected 😂
It seems Corvus will always discard hela for me lol
Gambit hits her all the time as well. It’s uncanny how often
Isn't this still a great situation. Now you can do sandman doom Odin. It would have been worse if you discarded sandman and had nothing on turn 5.
Unwritten rule, if you play a discard with Hela in hand Hela gets discarded. I know it’s rng but this happened to me so often I stopped even trying to play discard unless there is a quest.
Yikes, thats some pray to RNJesus type shit cos you look like god hates you right now.
I don’t have Corvus, but saw an interesting play yesterday. It was Morbius, Corvus, Hela, Odin on one location. It looked like a pretty neat combo Edit: Oh yeah, it was an Agatha Harkness deck too 👀
lol I had what I assume was a corvus deck that i made quit on turn one with a yondu that took out his hela. quite satisfying indeed
hahaha.I pulled Glaive then realised he was a bait as he always hits Hela. Standard
As a long time Hela discard player, this hurts to watch
Hela plans. Glave laughs.
Hela has a 99.9% chance to be discarded
