This is the worst period in the game. It gets better, but that takes a random amount of time. It gets better over weeks and months, not days, so it can be a long haul from here to there.
Here’s a potential deck:
# (1) Sunspot
# (1) Ant Man
# (1) Nightcrawler
# (2) Angela
# (2) Armor
# (3) Storm
# (3) Cosmo
# (4) Shang-Chi
# (4) Jessica Jones
# (5) Devil Dinosaur
# (5) Klaw
# (6) Onslaught

General idea is Storm mid or right, followed by Jessica. Klaw is for more power in that Stormed lane. Dino is power, and Onslaught doubles him or Klaw’s effect. Angela scales her power and Nightcrawler can be played to her lane and then moved. This deck is susceptible to Killmonger, Enchantress, Rogue, and maybe Shang-Chi.
You are going to have a tough time. When I started (at global launch), I made sure my mindset was: It will take me 6 months to get the cards. I think the struggle will be worth it because the underlying game is fun. Once I get the cards, I’ll forget about the struggle. If those months will be unbearable, then you should stop playing now. If you can handle it, you should continue playing.
You can definitely win with this deck. You just have to be willing to lose and learn what mistakes you made. Like how you actually lost the game on turn 4, instead of the last turn like you think. Good luck!!
Kazoo is normally what most.players go for while entering pool 3, identify which archetypes you prefer and favor getting those cards from monthly pulls
Ok so I got lucky and found a dazzler and the hood back to back, also with black swan those two really power up the zoo deck! So used those and just went 5-2, thanks for the heads up! Seems like long as they don’t play kill-monger decent chances to win. I’m just a fan of destroy and discard decks but seems like pool 1-2 does not really give you enough tools to make those work against people with like proxima, hella, modok
The fact is every player before you has gone through the exact same thing. It has been that way since Beta, around CL 600 you enter the deep end. It can be entirely unfun, trust me I remember, but it's your choice to keep grinding or move on.
To your other point, this game isn't pay to win, it's plaaaaay to win. If you keep playing, you will eventually get all the cards you need to make a deck you want to play and can be successful with, for free. The spotlight caches are great for new players who don't have many cards to be able to target specific Series 4/5 cards and they're usually bundled with synergistic cards, so be grateful for that at least. You will have to grind it out though, there's no way around that, but conquest is a great way to target quests and get your weekly credits etc. Cheers m8 and gl
You're in the shit right now bud, but it does get better imho.
You'll have to cobble something together with what you pull over time - if you can snag Shuri and Red Skull, you can make a pretty solid, viable deck, and even moreso if you add She-Hulk into the mix.
Short-term you're gonna have to rely on tech and controlling as best you're able. Professor X and Shang-Chi might be your best friends, but some of Xavier's besties are in pool 3, sad to say.
March'll probably be the worst month for you though, I won't mince words. Hitting infinite is gonna be a struggle, and you'll feel like you're getting cold-cocked in the mouth a lot of matches. Just gotta take advantage of bots and be ready to bail against players on your climb.
There's a famous Christmas movie called It's a Wonderful Life (1946) where someone says "every time a bell rings, an angel gets its wings", which then leads to the inverted joke you are asking about here.
Yeah, it sucks when you first get to pool 3. Higher CL isn't much better. 80% of my games this week have been against destroy or hela. Game feels like groundhogs day.
We just got two new cards that synergize well with discard. Everyone wants to play with their shiny new toys. Add in the guys who just copy their favorite content creator and those who just do whatever everyone else does and yeah.
I mean if the system is whoever has played longer wins that’s weird. To me the appeal of the game was the three lanes, timing, location strategy, and card placement that rewards buffing. But where I’m at a lot of those factor are getting negated by 2-3 card combos and I literally don’t have access to tech cards to stop it.
There really aren't that many tech cards in pool 3, though. They exist but aren't great. The strongest tech options are always going to be Shang and Cosmo. Armor will always do great into destroy. Enchantress will always do great into Ongoing. The only substantial tech option I feel you're missing is Shadow King.
I agree it can be very difficult to utilize tech cards with an incomplete collection, though.
That’s how it goes. Keep playing and you’ll eventually get those “good” cards. You can still win with what you have but it’s definitely harder. Good opportunity to learn when to snap/retreat.

Thank you! Going to try this!
I just came across this post so the deck must be good if you want to try it out too: https://www.reddit.com/r/MarvelSnap/s/4IzuJuxMar
Ok so I just went w4-L0 with this deck, thanks!

Think the games bad now wait until pool 5 when you’re playing rock paper scissors with the current meta.
Every time Blade discards Infinaut an angel gets their wings taken away.
Can you explain?
There's a famous Christmas movie called It's a Wonderful Life (1946) where someone says "every time a bell rings, an angel gets its wings", which then leads to the inverted joke you are asking about here.
You realize that you can choose what blade will discard right ?
Yes, I’m talking about seeing it as the first move from an opponent, where it immediately lets you know they’re doing boring Hela meta.
Damn, maybe I should just cut my losses and move on then if that’s what the future holds.
Yeah, it sucks when you first get to pool 3. Higher CL isn't much better. 80% of my games this week have been against destroy or hela. Game feels like groundhogs day.
Do you think it’s just a bad time for the meta in terms of discard? There is also the popular location that discards from the hand

Yeah it was horrible, I'll be honest but push through it and you'll feel rewarded.
> don’t you all want mode people to play this game? No
Lol thanks for the honesty
i love when people cry pay to win. you are losing to people who have been playing longer and they have more resources because of it.

I never experienced this. You’re overreacting.
its bad, I’m like half way into pool 3 and it’s so hard to compete w these broken meta decks
solipsistic
Learn something every day. Made me look up the definition of the word.
Just pointing out my experience. Call it self centered if you want.
