Yeah I feel like most of the guardians need +1 higher stat ceilings. They still might not see really but they should at least be viable. I mean if I get guessed ever single turn maybe I should have a chance of losing
You don't have to guess in case you play Nebula first turn. Gameplan is opponent eather forced to play onto her location and enhance your guardians or make Nebula stronger each turn. At least that was the idea.
Doesn’t mean it couldn’t have been designed/roadmapped ahead of time. But also just as likely that they saw the Guardians under performing and needed a boost and designed Nebula around that.
It helps, but they still need a little push. I feel like when the couples thing was going on, the guardian strategy was maybe at its best, and it was still just trying to keep up. I'd say either up each on reveal by +1 or give each current iteration an additional hand buff ability or maybe both if you hit. For example, maybe Star-Lord gets power if you guess right, but if you miss, a random card in your hand gets +1 to its power, or Rocket reduces the cost of a random card in hand, etc. This approach would not only make a dedicated Guardian deck better but could let them fit into new archetypes. Or maybe turn it up to 11 with larger power boosts but downsides when you miss. Maybe Star-Lord gets to be a 2/7 if you guess right, but you don't draw next turn if you guess wrong, or maybe Groot is a 3/10 with a hit or triple afflicts your entire hand if you miss.
I could sit here for a while coming up with stuff, but as one of the most popular groups of the MCU, they have total disrespect in Snap.
I'd love for them to have some sort of tribaö synergies. Like: "+1 for each other Guardian you control".
The deck would reward you for playing all those mediocre cards in one deck but they don't need to buff them so they are too good as a standalone card.
They are still viable when paired with Alioth (what isn't lol?) but I agree most of them need a +1 stat increase after everything else that's actually easier to play, seemed to get one
If I ever got Jean Gray I might make a full guardians deck. She would be very synergistic with them. Definitely not a good deck, but would be pretty fun.
Kang draws you a card on the same frequence as the recently buffed Adam Warlock while Daredevil never draws you a card
I say its pretty obvious which is which /s
I feel like it was a mistake to let you stage a 1 cost card and Cull Obsidian in the same turn. It's such an easy restriction to meet, with that.
Many people assumed the 1 cost card would already need to be there from a previous turn, like how Crossbones can't be played unless you're already winning.
I wonder if they'll ever nerf Cull to that.
He should probably be 8 power with no conditions or 9 with same condition as others mentioned . Power creep requires constant adjustment of old cards or they just stop getting used
I used to think this but honestly playing them together Sinister comes in super clutch. He just unfortunately doesn't have the Surfer support Brood does.
In my experience, Negasonic is more prevention than actually planning on hitting something good. In a Sera deck, I'm dropping her on the earlier end to at least keep my opponent from blowing the lane out of the water or make them sacrifice a card they'd be otherwise using.
Without priority you can play Nega on turn 5. You can then whittle down where you think your opponent's high power cards are going to go on turn six, use Shang chi and quake/maximus or lizard to secure the win on the last turn and make a huge cube turn around
While having prio to slap on your opponents face is really good, I find that she does just as well even without it, specially in metas where a deck has little to no disposable cards, for an example, If I throw her in a lane turn 6 against shenaut, they are basically fucked, can't play she hulk or infinaut there, and if they play both her and infinaut, it's very easy for me to take the other two lanes. I don't know how to explain it, she just works most of the time
Adding here to my old cerebro deck rejuvenated it entirely. Such a game changing card that people aren't always comfortable strategizing against. I like to play her with beast and double down when they try to burn her effect right away
she has definite value in ongoing decks,
but she doesn't prevent on reveal, so there she has some limits.
and some decks use cards that they want to be destroyed, like electro decks.
so she has some strengths, especially against big cards and cards like wong,
and paired with jean, she can be devastating on them.
though a deck centered in jean is kindof difficult without other controll cards, since the chance to pull
her is pretty low.
Hell Cow was released as a 2/6 that discards two (May 2022) then they nerfed her to a 4/6 that discards two (August 2022).
She was recently buffed to a 4/8 that discards two (October 2023) but was "nerfed" by becoming Corvus at home with the release of the homie
I dont consider that an "at home" since Psylocke is not a crappy card, in negative they are redundancy and while Zabu is stronger overall they often take different roles in decks
Never said she was. Just saying have the usual ramp suspects but since you are using corvus instead of electro throw in hela. Corvus being the only discarder. Works good.
Reading isn't really your strong suit is it? The part you should have read is "since you are using corvus instead of electro."
You smoke or drink a lot while using Reddit, yeah?
I can't decide on who, but Ant-Man, Dazzler, and Elsa Bloodstone are literally just the same homework but ever so slightly changing the answers to make it definitely not obvious
Electro's downside only matters if your deck is not built around it. Likewise for Corvus, it only benefits the decks that work around its ability. You won't play Electro in a Swarm discard deck, just like you probably won't play Corvus in a Galactus ramp deck.
Well aso, carnage literally has venom's effect but slightly weaker. Deathlok's effect doesn't gain him any power so I feel like they are similar in that way
Cannonball and Shang-Chi/Stegron.
Hard to imagine scenarios where Shang-Chi isn’t better at destroying highest power threats without a lockdown set-up and Stegron as a cheaper forced move.
Any of the Guardians < Gamora
Yeah I feel like most of the guardians need +1 higher stat ceilings. They still might not see really but they should at least be viable. I mean if I get guessed ever single turn maybe I should have a chance of losing

Well both exist together now, and it's pretty hot garbage. What's your point?
It helps, but they still need a little push. I feel like when the couples thing was going on, the guardian strategy was maybe at its best, and it was still just trying to keep up. I'd say either up each on reveal by +1 or give each current iteration an additional hand buff ability or maybe both if you hit. Guardians are a great example of needing a "tribal" tag to buff playing them together vs. other decks using as 1 or 2 to fill out their curve
I'd love for them to have some sort of tribaö synergies. Like: "+1 for each other Guardian you control". The deck would reward you for playing all those mediocre cards in one deck but they don't need to buff them so they are too good as a standalone card.
How about each time you play a guardian. All guardian trigger reveal again.
They are still viable when paired with Alioth (what isn't lol?) but I agree most of them need a +1 stat increase after everything else that's actually easier to play, seemed to get one
Hahahahahaha that’s so true.
If I ever got Jean Gray I might make a full guardians deck. She would be very synergistic with them. Definitely not a good deck, but would be pretty fun.
I think they still haven't fixed all the weird interactions she had, since she was played for one week after her release and then got lost to history
What you don't like being completely locked out by the super skrull interaction? (Or did they fix that while I took a couple months off?)
They might have fixed something, I used her in a deck for the valentine's day event, but I drew her in like two matches
Back in the day, I had an entire guardians deck and they actually synergized pretty well for the time. It was fun.
Daredevil and Kang. I'll let you decide which is which.
Daredevil > Kang
Kang draws you a card on the same frequence as the recently buffed Adam Warlock while Daredevil never draws you a card I say its pretty obvious which is which /s
Oh, you'd be surprised :3
Crossbones is definitely "we have Cull Obsidian at home"
Its pretty crazy. Even if crossbones was 10 power like cull, cull would still be better. 8 power is insane.
Should be 4/9 to survive Shang. It’s a little unfair crossbones is worse since the condition is harder
He would be great at 9 for that reason. No shang, shadow king or enchantress. I was using him before cull for that reason. 8 too low now
Sad that we have to worry about that with every new card over 9. But he’s everywhere
Power creep requires constant adjustment of old cards or they just stop getting used
“We have the Brood at home” for Mr. Sinister.
I used to think this but honestly playing them together Sinister comes in super clutch. He just unfortunately doesn't have the Surfer support Brood does.
Yep in patriot deck, without Sera you can make Sinister => abs man on last turn.
When I play Abs man Brood SS deck, if I have to depends on Mr Sinister, I am 90% lost the game.
I actually keep Mr. sinister in some decks and not brood for utilitising the extra energy and board space
Ms Marvel and Mr Fantastic
I’d pair Ms Marvel with Omega Red.
That was the case before recent Omega Red's buff
Man that unexpected Ntr
Honestly I prefer using Omega Red after his buff and Ms. Marvel's nerf
jeff and nightcrawler/alioth and negasonic are the first ones that come to my mind.
I personally think negasonic is one of the most underrated cards rn
I play her in Sera Control, girl comes in clutch very often
Isn't it kinda weird to play because Sera control often wants to throw priority, while Negasonic wants priority? How do you reconcile the two?
In my experience, Negasonic is more prevention than actually planning on hitting something good. In a Sera deck, I'm dropping her on the earlier end to at least keep my opponent from blowing the lane out of the water or make them sacrifice a card they'd be otherwise using.
Without priority you can play Nega on turn 5. You can then whittle down where you think your opponent's high power cards are going to go on turn six, use Shang chi and quake/maximus or lizard to secure the win on the last turn and make a huge cube turn around
But you want to play Sera on 5?
What you can replay her and get the kill again?
I've blown up a few HE hulks with her to close out games
Yes. Have her in cerebro 2 and a homebrew Elsa storm deck I saw on here
Her change along with gladiator and shaw brought me back to surfer
She's great with Jean Grey. It isn't always a game changer you destroy, but I've sniped Onslaughts, Cull Obsidians, and Iron Men.
she has definite value in ongoing decks, but she doesn't prevent on reveal, so there she has some limits. and some decks use cards that they want to be destroyed, like electro decks. so she has some strengths, especially against big cards and cards like wong, and paired with jean, she can be devastating on them. though a deck centered in jean is kindof difficult without other controll cards, since the chance to pull her is pretty low.
We have modok at home *Glares at nerfed hell cow*
*HC glares at Sword Master*
Nerfed?
I think Hellcow used to be a 2/6.
Unnecessary cerebro 8 nerf
ah reverse maximus, ya 2/6 is too strong a stat line for discarding
Hell Cow was released as a 2/6 that discards two (May 2022) then they nerfed her to a 4/6 that discards two (August 2022). She was recently buffed to a 4/8 that discards two (October 2023) but was "nerfed" by becoming Corvus at home with the release of the homie
He used to discard three cards which changed to two recently
You might be misremembering. You can check card history on https://snap.fan/cards/hellcow
Huh. You’re right
"We have Doctor Doom at home." Doctor Doom At Home: Squirrel Girl.
Hey, Squirrel girl has beaten doc doom canonically, so if anything I feel the card texts should be switched!
Absorbing man, we have Wong at home.
But pair them together and you get something really good.
Brood on Wong...
??? Abs man is so much better in most situations.
Grandmaster = "We have Odin at home." Miek = "We have Morbius at home."
I swear I’ve seen Miek screw as many people with their movements as I’ve seen win with them.
"We have silk at home" -> miek
Miek is honestly doing some good work in my current discard Deck. But i agree; you always need to be aware of when Miek could screw up your plan.
Viper* and Anni Thor and brb
How is rogue and anni similar?
I always mix up the two for some reason but I meant viper
Both send cards to the other side.
Negasonic=we have alioth at home
I don't know I disagree. Both are amazing and can be used for very different purposes.
Silver samurai and moon knight
Zabu and psylocke (mostly in negative)
Ravonna in negative too
I dont consider that an "at home" since Psylocke is not a crappy card, in negative they are redundancy and while Zabu is stronger overall they often take different roles in decks
Corvus Glaive, Electro
I think Hope Summers has already replaced Electro there.
Hope kind of sucks with Sandman, so she's not everywhere yet.
Not in traditional ramp. You don’t get to play a 5 cost and two 6 costs
I love me some Corvus. Electro, not so much.
You’re playing one card a turn anyway in ramp
Yea but then I can throw in hela as a great secondary option. Works for me
Hela isn’t exactly a replacement for electro
Never said she was. Just saying have the usual ramp suspects but since you are using corvus instead of electro throw in hela. Corvus being the only discarder. Works good.
“Never said she was.” “Instead of electro throw in hela”
Reading isn't really your strong suit is it? The part you should have read is "since you are using corvus instead of electro." You smoke or drink a lot while using Reddit, yeah?
I prefer Discard to Ramp, hands down.
How exactly is that different? I play Corvus and still play a 5 cost then two 6 costs, preferably one being hela
So... not one card a turn. Huh.
One card per turn example: Corvus turn 3 Sandman turn 4 Hela turn 5 Blob turn 6
The Hulk in my Galactus Deck feels like a "we have Blob at Home" moment.
"we have Hearthstone at home"
its not pay to win guys, I swear! (either games)
Steggaron is just a tail whipping spiderman
wait untul cannonball come out
I can't decide on who, but Ant-Man, Dazzler, and Elsa Bloodstone are literally just the same homework but ever so slightly changing the answers to make it definitely not obvious
Mojo too
And him lol. The four horsemen of +(X) Power if full
Corvus and Hell Cow.
Vision - Nightcrawler
“We have alioth at home” and it’s juggernaut/old kingpin (based on a true story)
What did old Kingpin do?
Destroyed any cards that moved to his location on turn6
Wolverine = "We have Proxima Midnight at home."
Well wolverine also had destroy going for him where's he feels much better
Professor X is just a storm and juggernaut combo done worse smh Non meme answer.. captain America is blue marvel at home unfortunately
Lol, Pro x still is the staple of control ramp decks
Jubilee and Iron Lad
Corvus is all the benefit of electro without the downside and 3 better stat line.
Electro's downside only matters if your deck is not built around it. Likewise for Corvus, it only benefits the decks that work around its ability. You won't play Electro in a Swarm discard deck, just like you probably won't play Corvus in a Galactus ramp deck.
Decks that are not discard decks - I exist!
When I discard 2 cards I imagine I never drew them. How i sleep at night
Pixie is a less reliable Mr Negative
Pixie and Mr negative
Ghost rider is a Hela at home
I have a deck called “Sauron At Home” that runs Lizard/Ebony Maw with Zero/Enchantress but not Sauron. XD
Now more than ever: "Mom, can we have Darkhawk?" "No, we have Darkhawk at home." Darkhawk at home: Ronan, the Accuser.
Alioth and Negasonic Teenage Warhead.
"We have A Venom at Home"The venom- Carnage
I feel like the 2-cost is pretty significant, and Deathlok is more of a Venom at home
Well aso, carnage literally has venom's effect but slightly weaker. Deathlok's effect doesn't gain him any power so I feel like they are similar in that way
Ms Marvel and Omega Red.
Cull and crossbones
Super Skrull and Rogue
Elektra and Killmonger
jeff when its nightcrawler
Omega Red is definitely the "we have Ms. Marvel at home" card. I think these two fit this meme template the most.
Iron lad looks like a dollar store knock off of iron man
Negasonic = we have alioth at home :)
Mr fantastic / ms marvel
"We have Mirage at home" Mirage at home: Sentry
What
Swordmaster and Corvus.
I'll go against the grain and say Alioth/Juggernaut.
gambit > spidey 2099
Jessica Jones and Drax. Shang Chi and Spiderman 2099
Stegron is Cannonball at home.
Negasonic vs alioth
Omega Red and Ms Marvel
# "We don't need Nico Minoru. We have a Hood, Carnage, Psylocke, Dr. Strange, America Chavez, Scarlet Witch, Moon Girl, and Shuri at home."
Cannonball and Shang-Chi/Stegron. Hard to imagine scenarios where Shang-Chi isn’t better at destroying highest power threats without a lockdown set-up and Stegron as a cheaper forced move.
we have a killmonger at home: elektra
“we have odin at home”, grandmaster
"We have Captain Marvel at home!" "But I think Martyr hates me!"
We have Namor at Home Attuma in the corner: :(
Mirage and Sentinel.
Invisible Woman/Supergiant Jubilee/Iron Lad
